I'll start out by saying Jaylon Smith is a great prospect. I believe he can translate to a 3-4 scheme without skipping a beat; he has great coverage skills and good closing speed, if he could gain some weight he'd be considered an elite prospect.

Kentrell Brothers in the second is great

Tyler Matakevich in the third

Personal favorite at the moment - Josh Forrest can be taken in the 3rd or 4th

Not a great LB class after Brothers in my opinion

Jaylon Smith reminds me of Ogletree from the Rams, as in I think he fits best in a 4-3 OLB, I'm sure he could do fine in the 3-4 but I personally wouldn't be ecstatic with another LB in the first round when we have lots of options in the top 10.

Antonio Morrison has become my favorite option for the Ravens. He's solid in coverage, and has great intensity. He could be exactly what the Ravens need.

jaylon smith will get lost in a pees defense, i just feel it, i just have this horrible feeling that we will draft an immense talent like that and pees will try to force him into his scheme by having him thumping at the line and getting washed out of the play...

Nah, Ozzie and Harbaugh would step in if that happens. First rounder is too valuable to be misused.

I love his athletic talent, I just wish he had more football awareness overall. He seems to get confused on who has the ball often, and that really keeps him from shining to his utmost ability. Maybe that can be coached away though. And when he is on and feeling it, he is a blast to watch.

elam was a nickel corner although he was horrible in coverage and solid in other areas, jimmy smith, even when healthy was being used in off man coverage far too often, for the offense, ray rice was asked to run right into matt birks butt for years, anquan boldin was running 9 routes and curls all day, and this lasted for years.

lets just say i have little faith in the FO and coachting staffs ability to intervene at this point lol

It's not my first choice, but a guy like Myles Jack could do wonders for this defense. He's one of the best cover LB's I've seen.

It'd be great if we could finally stop guys like Gary Barnidge from killing us.

How depressing is it that we have our first top 10 pick in years and we have to look at how to stop Gary Barnidge. You're not wrong, it's just depressing that we have to worry so much about Barnidge and the like.

I think either of the top two ILBs (Jaylon and Jack) would be a deserving pick where we are. Not that they'd be top of my board (I still like the DBs and OTs), but neither ILB would be a terrible pick if it came to that imo.

Myles Jack vs Jaylon Smith. Who would you rather have?

Jack is the guy for me. I like how he can also play several other positions. I would love it if he somehow fell to us in the 2nd. That would be a killer draft.

Man its crazy how falling a few spots changes everything so much. Smith and Jack are both top 10 prospects on most boards so I doubt they drop to the second and honestly they might be BPA when we are on the clock in the first.

I think it will be interesting how Ozzie plays this because he's adamant about BPA and for example on some boards Jack( is higher than VH3 so if that is the case on ozzies board (hypothetically) does he still go BPA? With Mosley and D. Smith we are set, but we need a CB so I would think need has to come into play a little at some point.

D smith hasn't been the same this year. I'd rather have jaylon smith honestly. Would make our defense scary. Then take a cb or pass rusher in round 2. We need to be feared again

I mean D smith is still playing at a really high level, but I do agree I would rather have jaylon smith. It really just depends on who is on the board for me.

jack without hesitation. that guy is like a center fielding FS in the intermediate range blended with a deone bucannon attacking linebacker/coverage SS hybrid.

he will revolutionize that safety/linebacker hybrid position and become the new standard.

here is my problem with jaylon smith, when he will be due for his 2nd conract, mosley will be in the middle of his, likely 1 year away from the heavy cap hit, we are absolutely not gonna be paying 2 fat blockbuster deals to 2 ILB's, if we draft jaylon smith, then 1 of our past 3 first round picks will be nearly guaranteed out the door in the next few years. i strongly prefer we take a guy who we can justify paying that 2nd deal, like jack, because he isnt just another ILB, he is a hybrid guy and would be irreplaceable. i would much prefer we take a guy like jack and continue testing waters with our 2nd ILB and see how orr does or pursue a guy on the FA market who shows promise but has yet to prove anything and will play for a cheap deal. id hate to see our top 10 draft pick walk 5 years from now because cj mosley is making too much to justify paying another ILB

Ozzie would step In if he is miused?? Round1 player is to valuable to be misused??lol what is Ozzie going to do, step in and give him a $50mil contract extension?? Ozzie needs to stop misusing round1 draft picks himself before worrying about a coordinator messing up draft picks. Ozzie is going to step in and tell Peas he can not afford another round1 bust, get this dude playing!! Lmao

This is a great year to draft a LB. Plenty of talent there in this draft class.

Yeah, it's one of the strongest positional units of the draft. Right up there with safety.

Jaylon would be a BIG option if he were to fall to the 2nd given the injury he got.

It will be interesting to see if it changes his mind about declaring.
