Post Week 16 Mock

With us beating the Steelers we are all but out of the top 5.

Round 1

Ronnie Stanley, OT: Notre Dame

Out of the running for Tunsil or Bosa, but a nice consolation prize.

Round 2

Corey Coleman, WR: Baylor

Coleman is electric and is by far my favorite player in the draft. All he seems to do is make big plays and score.

Round 3

Yannick Ngakoue, OLB: Maryland

It's been said before, but if he was at Alabama or a big name school that was winning he'd be first round no doubt

Round 3 (McPhee comp)

Karl Joseph, S: West Virginia

Had he not gotten hurt so early in the year he would have put up numbers crazy enough to push him up into the top of the draft.

Round 4

Kameli Correa, DE: Boise State

Undersized, but super athletic. Another one of my favorite players in the draft. He wins on speed and athleticism right now, but when he adds 25 pounds of muscle he could be a forced to be reckoned with after some tutelage from Elvis

Round 4

Harlen Miller, CB: South East Louisiana

Somewhat of a project CB, but we all know how Ozzie loves his mid round projects. Has the length and ball skills to warrant consideration

Round 4

Tyler Marz, OT: Wisconsin

Backed up Wagner as a Badger, and can do it again in the pros. Has great size at 6-8 320, and would be an upgrade over Hurst if need be

Goodness, Yannick would be an insane steal in the 3rd round. I won't rule it out that he falls there. Guys fall for unknown reasons sometimes. I'm taking him in the 2nd round honestly. I think we come away with an edge rusher early IMO. I like Coleman but I do prefer either of the WRs Tyler Boyd or Michael Thomas.

Coleman being anyones favorite player in the draft is... Odd, and aside from that I love this draft, I think Coleman goes in the first as a flavor of the month pick but I don't like his Game at all.

I'm hoping Michael Thomas Finds his way here In the second but it's doubtful after we drop to the 8-12 range

He reminds me of a young steve smith. He's such a fiery competitor that feels the need to win at anything he does, and that's the mentality we bring to this team

Ngakoue in the third would be amazing but possible. I think we'd need to trade up to get him. I see him as someone going in the middle of the second to the very late second. The Titans or another team ahead of us with a need at pass rusher likely takes him so I'm certain we'll need to trade ahead of them to get him. Browns, Titans, Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars and maybe even Dolphins if they lose Vernon likely take him.

I'd strike a trade with NE who may want more picks after losing their first.

I think Coleman will get an Agholor bump into the first round too, I'm personally not a huge fan but to each his own I guess

I think Coleman compares to Perriman in that he's got the first round talent potential and while he may be projected later he likely ends up a first round pick. I'm not comparing their play style or even making a player comparison here. I want to be clear this is a prospect comparison in terms of stock more than anything.

I like your Coleman pick. Not sure why he doesn't get much love around here. hes a 5'11 receiver that leads the NCAA in touch downs at the position. He definitely has a nose for the end zone and makes huge plays which is why I probably put him as my #1 receiver. However, I don't think he quite slips to the second round I have a feeling his stock will rise. So if I were to change anything id move Yannick to rd 2 and pick up sterling shepherd in the 3rd.

Seen Corey Coleman live a bunch of times and the dude is a stud. Would love to see him here.

Kept seeing his name around here finally decided to watch some clips of him and damn...kid has some moves.  Seems like good hands with awesome body control and has some quick jukes, i really like this kid.  Reminds me of DeSean Jackson, just a tad slower

Baylor has such a wide open scheme that it definitely inflates his yards and his touchdowns.  I like him has a prospect, but not more than a 2nd round pick.

You can spin it any way you want. A 5'11 receiver lead college football in touchdowns. It's more than system, he makes plays.

but their system always racks up yards and only one receiver in recent memory from there has translated to the NFL. Not saying that means he won't translate, but when looking at his game which consists of running under an airborne ball and catching it in the breadbasket, it will draw some concerns. That said, I do like his body control and tenacity, I don't like his Game as it stands right now but I think he can develop into something special.. Biggest problem is I don't trust our coaching staff to develop a small bodied raw wr into a legit starter

My favorite WR for us is probably Sterling Shepard at the moment. I think he'll be a future stud.

I think Sterling Shepard is going to be one of those guys that flies up the draft board after the combine. He's so quick and agile, and teams know how great a receiver that is that fast and plays big can be (Antonio Brown being the best example). He could potentially end up as a late 1st, early 2nd round prospect.

I mean if you go by history you can't really trust out coaching staff to develop any kind of receiver. I like Coleman and I wouldn't complain if we got him, but I would rather take Shepard in the third. The league is constantly changing. 10 years ago you wanted a guy like Calvin Johnson, but then big corners started to become a thing so now small quick receivers are where you need to go.

Gotta get with the times man.

Maybe. We'll see. I think we'll be able to get him in the early third but I wouldn't be surprised if he went late second or even early second.

We all know what Stefon Diggs is like.  Definitely should have drafted him with one of our 4th round picks.  We all know hindsight is 20/20.

I have never been fully aboard the big receiver band wagon. I like pharoh Cooper in the 323rd actually more than shepherd, I think he's got a better shot to become a high volume guy while Coleman may never be more than a deep threat
