What do we do with all these RB's?

What do you think we do well? Reading your comments, I wonder if you even like the Ravens.

We are set at DT

I like our group of linebackers. Still need a few pieces.

Our O-line needs a few pieces but is solid.

Secondary needs a lot of work but they have potential.

Tight ends are well above average.

Needs:

Running back,

Qb,

Hurst- taken off the O-line,

A middle linebacker -to sit behind Smith,

Outside linebacker -who can cover tight ends.

Pass rushers- to learn from two of the best

I definitely agree on some of those. I admit that RB is a position I think we may have fools gold, but they have potential. It's not a bad group at all. You really think it is?

I think we're set with Forsett, Allen, LT and West.

If Monroe gets healthy and we bring KO back, there's no reason to believe that we won't have another RB in the Pro-Bowl.

Our O-Line is that good.

We may not have an AP, but we have good backs and our young boys have good potential too.

Unfortunately I do Grim.  While Forsett is serviceable at the position he doesn't exactly dominate.  He doesn't have dominating speed or overwhelming power.  This makes him a serviceable guy. Although he does have good vision.

Buck is still learning the game. He makes himself small while entering the holes but lacks raw power and speed to separate himself from the serviceable bunch.

We need a game changing back that dominates, in one or two of the key areas.

I think our RBs are good enough. If we focus on improving the o-line, they'll do fine.

And that's exactly why he should be our starting RB for the next season or possibly two. His vision sets him apart from the rest of our RBs and a lot of other NFL RB's. He doesn't have elite speed but he has great acceleration and breakaway speed. Not to mention he has a lot less tread on those legs than other RB's his age.

I would like to see us draft a bruising back like Henry depending on where he falls. We need a 3 headed monster like we did with McGahee, Rice and McClain: powerful and elusive and a great receiver (Buck), shifty and elusive with enough speed to get it done with recieving skills (Forsett), and a bruiser to bring in the second half and make the defense tired (Henry or LT if he can stay healthy. Not sold on LT though. We need players that can actually stay on the field. Henry's style of game could fit into this category.

Honestly our current group of running backs is horrible.  We don't have a Ray Rice or Jamal lewis on our roster.

No one is explosive either!!!

I honestly can't stand our RB position.

Hahah wow. Okay.

I think that is a very poor assessment. Buck's problem is getting lost in holes. It's when he's able to get through them and is able to use that lack of power and speed that he becomes dangerous. I saw Buck truck quite a few people this year and saw him run away from a lot too. His problem this year was reading his blocks and committing to hit the holes.

I don't think Buck is an every down back tbh so I agree with you there, but I think he can be very valuable in the passing game where he is given space to use those abilities that he has. If he can improve his between the tackles play then he may have a better argument for the number one gig.

Forsett, Buck, LT and West. Those are the Runningbacks we have right now. The sudden awakening of Buck and West kinda make Forsett the odd men out. Obviously we can't use four RB's. So who do we move? We do we keep? Who's the #1 back?

The #1 back will continue to be Forsett, but he will share a few more carries with Allen. As for Taliaferro, West and whoever else may be drafted via the draft or after the draft will compete for the 3rd running back slot. With the Ravens it is an open competition and the best 3 will be our RBs.

This is basically how I see Buck too. He's a solid 3rd down running back that's a great check down option. Forsett as the main runner of the two and Buck as the receiving back with LT or West backing them up isn't bad. It won't scare most teams, but they'll get the job done.

I don't think we are terrible at the RB position but we definitely don't have a game changer Imo, respectively. I've stated this numerous times that we need a ray rice esque guy at rbrb, preferably one that doesn't hit women. Someone who can create something out of nothing. I don't see any rb on our roster that could of pulled off that 4th and 29.

I think we are fine with Forsett and Allen with Allen getting a little more run this year both are good runners and receivers my question is who is 3rd LT as been hurt West I don't know I think he has potential but needs to get his head straight

I think you bring them all back and let them compete. I think you keep Forsett reguardless of savings, he offers explosiveness as a shifty RB which is an element we are missing. We have enough power runners with Allen, Talifero, and West, let them compete with each other. I think we keep Allen and Taliafero with West being the cut guy after camp.

Taliaferro could be in trouble with his inability to stay healthy.  I think it's between West and Taliaferro too though, for what it's worth.  I wouldn't rule out keeping 4 guys either.  Trestman ran with 4 quite often in Chicago.

Agreed. I think if LT can stay healthy he could be a number 1 guy. The thing with him though is can he handle a load like that. The games where he got a lot of snaps and was able to get into rhythm he looked great, but he just hasn't seemed to have the durability so if he cant stay healthy through training camp and preseason I can see west making it over him.

I do favor Taliaferro just because of his overall history to pull us through, you can call me biased since I am a Lorenzo Taliferro fan, but he's just emerged plenty of times to the point where I was sometimes convinced that he's our back for the future. I just hope his foot problems are behind him, it obviously wasn't this year, I think the guy has serious talent and I honestly like him more than Buck Allen, he just needs to stay healthy and of course win his training camp battle. He's still young and I don't think we will cut him prematurely, he just needs to stay healthy. Someone said Will Davis is the Michael Campanaro of RBs, Grim I think? Well Taliaferro is the Michael Campanaro of RBs honestly.

It just depends on if Taliaferro can stay healthy, if so then I think he can make the roster, IMO he's better than West and Allen. If healthy then I'd put money on him being our No.2 pushing Forsett for a No.1 if he can only stay healthy. He's just that talented. I really like him and Campanaro, if both were healthy they would be huge contributors, but if you can't stay on the field, what use are you?

I really hope both Camp and Taliaferro can get over the injury bug. They both could be huge for our offense if they could just stay on the field.

Yeah, I think both have shown they can play when on the field, but this is their last chance.
