Ryan Mallet for President! Joe would have choked on half them plays and blamed it on the O line saying "I need more time"! SWEEEEEEEEEEP!

Did Joe ever blame O-line or anyone else for any bad plays even when he could justifiably do so?  Confusing with RGIII, are you?

A great win that really perked up the town and the fan base. Ryan Mallett is a keeper and will give Joe a run for his money and that is a good thing to have going into next season. I liked the guy at Arkansas and I was hoping that he would get the chance to show what he can do. Thankfully, it was with the RAVENS and not the PATRIOTS who let him go.

The RAVENS gave the city and the fans a belated XMAS gift. They played RAVEN football yesterday even though they still had over 100 yards of penalties. Had Upshaw been behind the ball where he is supposed to be on the snap, we would have beaten the Squeelers 27-17. Still seeing way to many discipline problems with several of our players.

Great, great, great but still the penalties almost killed us. We have GOT to stop these stupid penalties before we get to next year. On a positive note, Carolina ended last year on a winning run that carried over to this year. Let's go out here and beat the AJ McCarron led Bengals and start a winning streak that will carry to next year. As good as Mallett was, and as effective as he was at converting 3rd downs, do we have a QB controversy brewing for next year.

Great win but it may have caused us a top 6 pick don't get me wrong love to that we beat the steelers but would rather we get great talent in the draft this year

Flacco is the man.....but if Mallet can play like this, we will have a solid go to backup which is very hard for teams to have.....Imagine having two QB's with rocket arms, so happy we signed him, and i'm glad he played well as i was raving about him when we brought him in weeks ago for a tryout, and then to finally sign him....Clausen, and Schaub thank you for your service, but i believe we won't be needing you next year....:)

Mallett has the same strengths as Flacco and I cannot wait for him to be our back up next season. If he misses a game or two with what I saw yesterday I would be okay with Mallett taking over if necessary. Big arm and avoided the big mistakes against a Steelers defense who has been looking pretty good the last couple weeks. Buck Allen still needs some grooming but has showed starter material on some of his snaps. I am excited to see him grow. We may have a very good young core to give us another couple few play off runs in a row in the near future.

Apparently, Snoop Dogg was not at all pleased with the results of yesterday's game. Did y'all see the video he posted to his Instagram account? Too much profanity to post here, but it's hilarious! XD

No, we don't have a QB controversy....  While I'd love to go out there and beat AJ and AJ, and what a great way to end the season, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves The guy just played 1 game.  Holy Cow.

His one game was better than the games Schaub, and Clausen played put together.....:) Seriously Clausen did a good enough job to be a backup for someone else next year, Schaub i think is done, his arm is dead...

The Greek, it really depends on the needs of the teams drafting ahead of us....Still a lot of teams looking for that franchise QB, O-lineman....Really hard to go wrong if you pick in the top 10...Well i take that back as all draft picks are a gamble, but the top 10 picks are usually solid, unlike picking in the bottom of the first round like we have done for years.....

I have no idea what Tressmen is doing to our receiving corp, But!!! DON"T STOP!!!

First off people seemed to understand where they should be and what they should be doing. Running good routes, doing curls, fighting for the ball, getting open. This is the first time in a long time I have seen our receivers actually look like NFL receivers.

Of course it was one game and the squeelers looked really, really flat. I won't get to excited until I see this happen more often.

I like our new OC I think he offers guys a chance to be successful by designing plays that play to their strengths. I also seemed to the that elusive light bulb just started shinning.

As much as I rag on Harbaugh and his assistants, not today. Good job everybody!! Planed your work and worked your plan

I was most impressed by how the ball was spread around and no single receiver had more yards than all of the rest combined which was a major problem early in the season. It made the offense much easier to shut down. The defense in general had a decent game with a few exceptions. The defense is what it is, the offense was much more versatile enough to beat a good team.

I like what Trestman did with Mallet, taking advantage of his arm............DOES JOE FLACCO NOT HAVE AN ARM? MORE DEEP THROWS FOR JOE TRESTMAN

Regardless, good show ol'chap

I don't think his deep ball was even the most impressive aspect, it was the way he fired bullets into the chests of the receivers, especially when we needed a big 3rd down conversion.  Joe can and SHOULD do more of that.

My Five Thoughts:

1. No matter how bad the year is, beating the Steelers (and sweeping them) will put a smile on my face.

2. Ryan Mallett actually played well.

3. Buck Allen is awesome, still.

4. For the most part our defense played with intensity and heart (as 3 sacks and 2 picks showed)

5. The Ravens-Steelers rivalry will NEVER ever be boring, flat, tasteless. It will always be a fun time.

Really people on here are questioning Flacco as our starting quarterback..? Mallett had one good game and I hope he continues to improve but Flacco is the franchise quarterback. He is one of the best and one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league. Might as well put in Terrance Cody over Brandon Williams since he had a good practice in 2011.

Texan fan here again. How do you like him now?? I told you that Mallett would be a pleasant surprise for you. Wish we had him back for the playoffs (if we make it) Could you please trade us your draft choice so we can get a quarterback for next year!!

So the lopsided Giants-Vikings game was considered more interesting. Sorry NBC.

Despite the large number of terrible towels, the fans fueled this game from the first Pittsburgh snap on. The decibel meter barely hit 100 during the Seattle game, It got to about 104 against Kansas City. It was well over 110 yesterday. When you figure that each i unit decibel increase is 10 times the one below it, it means that we were thousands of times louder yesterday.

I have to admit, initially I thought the Squeelas would win. And I never expected "these" Ravens to actually play like real "Ravens" and answer da call, but they did.  And I'm proud of them.  I thought these new Ravens would put up a little fight, but eventually come up short like we have in the past.  But they put on a real show yesterday and showed what they're made of.  And RavenNation was out in force yesterday at the Bank, making some noise!!

No, I don't think we have a QB controversy.  True, Mallett had "a" good game, but he's not in Joe's league yet.  He's seems to have the right building blocks for a good foundation for a back-up, and for someone who can win a game for us and not just manage it. Joe's our man...and we shouldn't lose sight of that.  We've ridden Joe's arm and ability  many years to the play-offs and to one superbowl. I'm glad we have Mallet as a backup, but we'll stick with Joe as our main go-to guy! He's not perfect, but he wins.

After weeks of early mock drafts and reading through forums, I think the guy most people want and think we will get is certainly going to be available 5-10, which is Jalen Ramsey. Most scouts see him as a FS at the next level and many see him sliding to the back end of the top 10 and we will have a chance to grab him. Just think about this, Waynes was the top CB last year and went 11th, Landon Collins went in the second round. Clinton-Dix went in the 20s the year before so we certainly have a chance. I really want him or a pass rushed, we will see Ravens nation!
