Sunday QB

Please Keep WR Chris Matthews

64 posts in this topic

S.Smith Snr if he returns, I so hope he does.

Aiken

Perriman

D.Brown/Butler

Campanaro/Clay best one through camp/injury free

Matthews (ST)

Waller (ST)

Waller and Matthews on special teams together would be great as well as helping in the redzone

That's what I thought. But Being a round1 pick does not increase his skills or his knee mending.

his knee wasn't completely destroyed, from what I remember he only had one surgery to check if there was any new injury and that came up negative. Once fully healed his knee shouldn't cause him troubles as with a tear or reconstruction, let's not act as if the guy completely blew out his knee here...

We have a lot of promising number three's on this team.

That is kinda the problem!! lol, Just for giggles what would you trade for Diggs?? Obviously not a top 6 draft pick. I would like everybody's opinion on this!! I would trade the ravens round2 pick in .04 seconds for Diggs!! As long as he does not get injured he will be in the category of Amari Cooper in my opinion. If ravens traded down to bottom of round1 and picked up extra picks this and next year I would trade a later round1 for Diggs without question!! He is a very complete and phenomenal receiver in my opinion!! So what are some thoughts on what you would trade to acquire Diggs. I would consider a mid round1(16-24) for Diggs as a matter of fact!! What are some thoughts

Yeah but his injuries are just as much a problem or more as Campanaro's. The guy can't run a route in practice without injuring his knee again. Campanaro at least has played.

Uh no they aren't, Campanaro has a long history of injuries, I don't know where you've been but Perriman has had one injury that got reaggrivated, not multiple, you're just being ridiculous comparing him to Camp after one injury, you're reaching big time with that comparison

lol every time he runs it gets agrivated. His first preseason game he injured it and has not played a down!! Every time you heard a report he was going to practice the injury seemed to get worse. You are being rediculous and bias because you do not want a round 1 pick to be a bust!! One injury?? How many times was he supposed to practice only to hear he is injured again?? Or his injury got worse?? You said yourself if he misses another season he doesn't get cut because he is a round 1 pick!! So by your own acknowledgement you are biased and hopeful of him because he is a round1 pick. At least Campanaro has played and shown big play skill!! pro Day Perriman has not shown Jack at the NFL level.

Ummm that's not correct Winchester. There wasn't even many reports or much reports at all of Perriman practicing. He only had warm up practice before the game against The Bengels and he some how re-aggravated his injury but after that there wasn't any more reports about him practicing.

Perriman injury started on the first day of training camp  which no where close to the day of the first preseason game.

How about if Perriman does not play at all next year?? Is he done??

No.  They kept KLM for two injured years and he finally played his 3rd year.

I doubt they'll let a 1st round pick go if he's injured again next year.

So he ran one route and got injured?? And missed the year. Then in warm up practice injured it again?? And his injuries are not as much of a problem as Campanaro's?? Keep telling yourself that. lol

I think it was more like he ran deep route in practice then caught the ball while running the same route with defender on him(not sure) and fell the wrong way. You making it out like the guy so bad  at running routes he injuries  himself  constantly as if he hasn't ran a route in his life.

People can injure them selves just by dancing and that happened to two players in 2014. Perriman doesn't have much of  injury history coming out of college as much  as Campanaro does . Comparing Campanaro to Perriman is pretty pre-mature.

I never said he should be cut. He said Campanaro should be. I said if Pro day misses another year should he be cut as well. All year this dude never playing is frustrating everybody. Now the hopeful homers have new expectations for him and are playing down his injury history as if it is minor. His injury history is just as troublesome as Campanaro's. He is a round1 pick so homers with expectations of him next yr are beginning to play down his injuries because nobody wants another round 1 bust!!

What injury history, exactly?  He hurt his knee on the first day of camp and re-aggravated it once during the season.  I get that it's frustrating that he wasn't on the field, but we're talking about one long term injury here.  It's not multiple ailments of different varieties.

Did you really reply to that?

Sometimes it's worth keeping it going just to see what the next response is lol

Campanaro played enough to break division records. And has played in the NFL. Pro day can not make it through a practice so far. Pro day Perriman and Campanaro have considerable injury history.

His knee seems more fragile than his hairline.

Well hey, Chris Matthews... I wish you luck.  I think he might be the first of the many big body experiments we've had that actually knows and wants to use his size to go up and get the ball.

Camp would have been back in 3-4 weeks but smith got injured in the pitt game and they had hope for perrimans return. Camp is a playmaker at wr and the return game there is no way he should be cut from a team starving for playmakers. If he has injury problems the next two years then yes you part ways with him.

Matthews took over for Waller on ST.

What is it about Waller that makes ANYONE think he has a shot to make this team next year????? He's a 7th rounder and he is a developmental player. Camparnero is wayyyy better. Matthews is much better. If Camp is healthy though training camp, he will be on the team.

Don't you think the Ravens learned this year what you get out of developmental players???

He's a 6th round player, actually.

I have to agree with the OP.  I love Chris, Givens, D Brown and Camp.

Clay might make Camp expendable though.

With Camp it's all about health - we'll see if he can escape his fragile past, otherwise I think he gets cut after next year's training camp.

You have seen next to nothing of Waller to truly saw who's much better.

Waller has a chance for a few reasons, the most important being he's an actual draft pick.  The Ravens have been loyal to their drafted WRs (look at injury prone Camp, Doss, Reed, etc).  A Ravens drafted player (Waller) will never be easily cut over another team's undrafted player (Matthews) or even the team's undrafted player (D.Brown) after just his rookie season

Big drop today where he heard footsteps, but I still think he's worth bringing back to compete in camp.  The guy is slow as hell though.  I don't see him as much more than a 3rd down and red zone guy.
