The Good, Bad, and Ugly from the Steelers Game

If our win takes the Steelers out of the playoffs I will gladly lose a higher spot in the draft .

Just to see that crybaby Tomlin with a deer in the headlights look , like his season was crumbling because they lost to us , was sweet sweet , sweet !!

Ditto!! Of course they used Ben didn't play the 1st time we beat them. They have ZERO excuse for this loss. 

Make sure to remind them that not only did Ben play, but they scored 3 LESS points with Ben than they did with Vick

This one really made my day, coupled with the Jets beating the Patriots. We may have just ruined Pittsburgh's year!

I'm against wins this year,but it felt good seeing the Ravens sweep the Steelers and possibly crush their playoff hopes with 6 of our offensive starters on I.R.,our 4th string QB starting for us and our best player on D on I.R.The Steelers suck!!!If we had even just close to our full roster this probably would've been a blowout.

From a previous post .... here is what I was looking for today: 

 

1. Buck gets 100+ combined yards, 1 TD and NO FUMBLES (result: check ... check ... and check)

2. Mallett looks like our backup for 2016. He would be a good, low-cost option for that role (result: big fat check)

3. Jernigan plays well AND does not do anything profoundly stupid that keeps the Steelers on the field  (result: well ... an OK game ... and of the profound stupidity that did occur, he wasn't a part of it)

4. Urban and Z. Smith each get a sack (result: half right ... Urban was non-existent, but Z got his sack)

5. Maxx has his best game of the year (result: well, that didn't turn out, but Juice kinda took his place. 

 

I wish I'd have said - get a couple turnovers ... all in all, a pretty on the mark day.

Sweeping the steelers is ALWAYS worth it, but is a crown jewel on a losing season... especially if they had a chance

The Good: How we played with pride ... who we beat and what it could mean for their season. 

The Bad: Well, it is bad it hurt our draft pick, but that's what happens when you play well and you win ... which is always better than the alternative. 

The Ugly: The penalties ... I really, really thought that off-side was going to kill this emotional win. The look on Jimmy's face when he realized that play was all for naught ... please guys. Clean it up.

The Harrison call was very suspect and the intentional grounding foul isn't called if someone like Brady does it; buck was in the area, he just fell down, saw Brady do the same thing a few weeks ago.

Buck was blocking and fell to the ground doing so... I'm not sure any referee would count him as a receiver after he established himself as a blocker on his stomach

 

The Harrison call had full arm extension and he was stumbling forward losing his footing.

Good: Dean pees.... I can't take the dean pees rollercoaster though... Mallet had a couple balls sail on him though but looked fairly well... Jeremy butler hopefully he can fight his way on the roster next year...middle linebacker play... Buck n cj had two terrific games today.. Zadarius smith and Marc trestman

Bad: upshaw in the neutral zone would have loved for jimmy to take one home but still got the w... Jimmy besides his two picks... Urschel... Rick Wagner
