The Good, Bad, and Ugly from the Steelers Game

172 posts in this topic

And the Jets held up their end of the bargain and knocked off the Cheetahs.

We fell five spots in the draft order (soon to be four after this Saints/Jags game), but now that the dust has settled I can't stop grinning. Sweeping the Steelers and screwing with their playoff hopes is as sweep as it gets. *ahem* sweet

Also, shoutout to Juice for toasting Shazier on that long passing play in the 4th quarter. :D

yeah there just always HAS to be a penalty that negates something. Everytime we make a big play I don't even get excited anymore until the next play when I'm sure there is no laundry on the feild. Penalties are really ruining football and watering down the game. I think they do it to intentionally try to keep games close to create better ratings. That's why they kind of distribute them to one side if one team starts pulling away. Hence the penalty when we take a 27-10 lead. They try to keep things interesting. They absolutely have to make everything reviewable. There were 2 plays earlier in the game that they changed on us after the play was over. That givens play was ridiculous. He clearly wasn't touched. And they let it play out on the feild- and somehow they change it- and ofcourse its not reviewable. That's why they didn't let the original call on the field stand. Bc Pitt couldn't have challenged it.

The NFL isn't calling more or less penalties and the distributions are about the same, but the bias that a bad team or good team will receive is incredible now that we're on the end receiving it.

I still cannot remember the last time the Ravens have gotten a holding call. They had six in like the first two or three weeks. They have gotten four in 14 weeks since. That's absurd

BEAUTIFUL GAME GUYS!!!!!!  Almost ready to forgive Upshaw...

LOL, man after he got called i was so upset. I went from the game is over and we WON to WOW Upshaw just gave Big Ben another chance which usually bites you in the rear. So glad we pulled in the reigns and held them from gaining the momentum.

Great game. Is always a great day when we get a victory over the Steelers.

Yes, but it requires the Jets and Chiefs to lose, I believe

Chiefs are in the playoffs. The Jets have to lose and the Steelers have to win next weekend to make it.

First Congrats to our "RAVENS"

   good = win,won and winning,,,

bad = wish we had more games to see Mallet (he looks good),

ugly = penalties, still getting (ridiculous penalties) them and at costly times,,

Ravens are 2-0 against the Steelers this season, 4-1 the last two seasons, and 8-3 the last half decade.

Even when we're bad we're better than Pittsburgh.  The fact that we may have ended their season for a second season in a row is priceless to me.

There was the bad: penalties

There were some failures in coverages.

Lack of pressure at times was mind blowing.

But just really proud of these guys.

Great win.

Ditto!! Of course they used Ben didn't play the 1st time we beat them. They have ZERO excuse for this loss.

Impressed with the pass rush today.  We had a few times where we didn't get pressure and the Steelers burned us, but overall, Ben was feeling it all day.  Za'Darius Smith continues to progress nicely.

Hell of a game. My only complaint is officiating. I have NEVER seen an offensive lineman get called for unnecessary roughness for getting a pancake block during the play until today. Ryan Jensen, who played an excellent game, absolutely planted someone and got called for it. It's bullcrap. Since when is a pancake unnecessary roughness?

I went to go see Star Wars today, and as soon as the movie is over, I check my phone to find the Ravens up 20-17 with the Steelers on fourth and long. They don't convert. I am overjoyed; feels AMAZING to sweep the Steelers, even though we've had a bad year. We've won the last 5 of 6 against them!!!

Refs still showing us that they're completely incompetent. Like the no call on Harrison and the intentional grounding call.
