Ryan Mallett is the most confident QB that has ever lined up for the Ravens!

Hmm... the only thing I'll concede is the sense of urgency bit, because I'm still pissed at the lack of urgency earlier in the season with Joe and the offense. It may have been the Raiders game (not sure), but the way they sauntered on to the LOS with so little time left had me seething with rage. I don't know about leadership and pocket awareness though. I think Flacco wasn't really deficient in those areas just because he has a quiet disposition! As for Mallet, his resume consists of 2 games and I think we all need to take a deep breath here...

I REALLY hope that is an exaggeration.

If a football game has that dramatic of an effect on you I think you should step away from the game for a while and as you say, take a deep breath.

pretty sure he was exaggerating a bit for effect. Really it made me angry as well. It's one thing to be emotionally invested in your team and another to let those emotions dictate your entire life. Look up Viking fan reactions on YouTube and you will see people who need to step away from the game for awhile. Edited by January J

Can't believe people are still angry at anyone for the team's supposedly lackadaisical approach to that one "2 minute drill" drive where we had the one play where we got to the line of scrimmage slowly and it looked like people were "sauntering" up to the LOS.  It's a farce, it's not reality.  It's all based on a knee-jerk reaction that the announcer had live, in real-time, based on a lack of information because he didn't NOTICE that Marshall Yanda had been held up back at the line of scrimmage of the previous play and was SPRINTING to get to the LOS for the next play.  The rest of the guys were waiting on him.  Can't snap the ball while one of the linemen is still sprinting up the field to get to the LOS.  The other guys didn't look like they had urgency, because there was nothing to be urgent about while they waited for their teammate to get there as fast as he could.

I been a fan since 96...i went to a CFL stallions game when i was in elementary school.

However, I was still a split cowboys fan until 8-8 season of 99 when the ravens finished strong down the stretch and I fully committed.

vinny put up some numbers...and mcnair was competent, and a calming presence, but wasn't fiery.

To suggest Ryan Mallett is anything like Tom Brady is a little bit, well, let's just say way out there! The only thing they have in common is that they were both drafted by NE I think. I'm glad you like him but just as one bad game does not define a career one good game doesn't either. He played OK in the two games he started and showed enough moxy to make me believe he could be a competent backup for Joe next year. But, if he was as good as you think he is, he would have been the Houston Texans' starter goin down the stretch. He wasn't even good enough to beat out T.J. Yates.

Since you ordain it, I'll obey! If you weren't pissed at that 2 minute stand and the absolute lethargy displayed with a chance to win that game, maybe you don't care enough or perhaps are too drunk on purple koolaid! So, I wasn't exaggerating at all. However, I must say I have gotten over it a while ago. So, in that sense maybe there was a bit of drama in my post!
