Ryan Mallett is the most confident QB that has ever lined up for the Ravens!

excluding no one! yes, excluding no one!

that voice...that body language...that intensity....no deer in headlight looks...the focus!!! seemed like a broke Tom Brady for his early NE game manager days.

he will be a good number 2 for us next year if not an off-season trade piece!

WOOHOO...PLAY LIKE A RAVEN!!!!  :29:

I just like him not being locked onto one player. He's definitely has a better on the field presence. That might be it though.

Mallett looked confident and in control of the offense from the first snap. Amazing accomplishment to have pulled that off after only 12 days as a Raven. Will be a solid backup, especially if Joe isn't 100% pre-season. Makes me more confident about the unknown timing of Joe's rehab progress.

I laughed at the move initially, but the FO making the move, proved to me, they wanted this game.  Happy they were rewarded.  He played his butt off.

More confident than the guy who turned down $17 million a year?

Mallet played about as good as Joe would've. Plus he actually been a throws beams. Glad to have him on the team. Edited by Cillmatic

I wouldn't go nearly as far as to say he played as well as Flacco, but he showed that if the Ravens need to use their backups again, he could win a game

Mallett, like any backup wants to be a starter. This is an audition for him. He's trying to be a starter somewhere else next year.

He's signed through 2016

Are the mods off drinking?  WHERE'S THE STEELERS THREAD!!!

We'd like to be, but we're here. Just a little distracted by the great ending of the game.

That's what I figured.  Just felt like messing with you all.  After losses, they seem to come up so quick.  Thought you all might have been celebrating.

He could still be traded.

Why would they trade him? His cap hit next season is $1.5M. That's a steal for a QB.

Not that I'm proposing this, but what about for a good young LT?

We were. Phones ringing, texts coming in, trying to watch/hear the TV.

He played better than Joe against the Steelers this season.

Flacco - 20-33, 60.6 completion %, 189 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT 73.9 rating

Mallett - 28-41, 68.3 completion %, 274 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 95.0 rating

Which goes to show how little passing stats actually mean. I bet Vick had a better rating than Ben against us too.

But Flacco played them early with a new OC still trying to figure out how to use our personnel. Big difference since then.

And Mallett has been here for 12 days.

Stats will never tell the entire story.

And not that one game matters, but he was about as erratic as it gets in this game

If Mallett balls out again next week, you better believe his agent is going to try and get him traded to a team where he can start.  Ultimately Mallett wants to be a starter, why would he turn down a trade when he could be a starter?

He played well today. Gotta give him credit. I didn't like the signing but we'll see where it goes. He had some very average and some very accurate throws.

Erratic? The guy completed 68.3% of his passes. Again he's been here for 12 days.

Why would the Ravens trade him? Joe suffered a serious knee injury. We don't know if he'll be ready at the start of next season.

Mallett wants to be a starter, but he knows that this is the last straw. He's going to do whatever is asked of him.

1TD win vs a atrocious defense.

Yup, jumping to conclusions and crowning someone is something we seem to do very well on.

Uh oh...you sure about that?
