Week 16 Discussion (Other Teams)

Brandon Marshall deserves MVP votes. he's been absolutely dominant this year. I really wish we would've pushed a little bit harder for him but, it is what it is. Knowing our luck he would've got hurt too.

If you win, you get the Seahawks. If you lose, you get the Redskins.

Hmmmmm......

How's this....

The Texans and Colts will both have their eyes on the Bengals/Broncos game tomorrow night. Since both teams won this week, both can still win the division next week barring one losing... or it can be won through 2 teams that aren't in their division. If the Bengals win tomorrow night, the Texans clinch the AFC South due to a Strength of Victory tiebreaker over the Colts. If the Broncos win, it all comes down to week 17 where the Texans would clinch with a win or Colts loss.

We've had several chances to sign him or trade for him and all he ever does is play some damn good football. Him and Flacco would be perfect together but Ozzie would rather take in bargain bin WR's that never see the field or when they do, they suck. So frustrating.

San Diego did Weddle dirty. He deserves so much better.

Had to look this up to see what you were talking about and this wasn't dirty it was just down right wrong and disrespectful. Something tells me he ends up in Oakland with Woodson retiring and he'll want revenge against the Chargers for this.

If you don't know about it, basically the Chargers fined Weddle for staying on the field and watching his daughter perform at halftime during the game against the Dolphins. It was a $10,000 fine and now they told him that he isn't traveling with the team to Denver as "the plane is too small" according to the Chargers.

Ha. Some fans think that the Pats lost to the Jets on purpose to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs.

When you say "some fans" they are almost all Steelers fans. OMG they are delusional. They honestly think Belichick is afraid of any them ... or any team? They honestly think he's going to let his own division rival make it into the playoffs by letting them win?

Rooting for the Broncos tonight ... reasons are that

1) should the Broncos lose tonight and next week, that would open the doors for the Steelers to get in.

2) If CIN losees, it means a win next week may be required for them to get a bye (of course, only if Pats lose to Dolphins ... which isn't very likely, but I don't think CIN can just count on it and sit starters).

I want to get a real motivated game out of CIN next week. Don't want us to win with them playing at anything but full strength.

I didn't really care about the jets loss since we have the first round bye already, but seeing the steelers forums actually made it a very pleasant result. I hope cincy wins today.

That is just terrible. I'd take Weddle in a heartbeat but I think he now wants to stay in that division

I don't expect Cincy to win tonight. It was already going to be a tough game to win even if they had Dalton and Eifert.

Cincy's running game has not looked good the past couple games. That's what they need to lean on because AJ McCarron is just not ready for a big-time game like this. In your guys' game, Mallett looked much better than what McCarron has come close to showing.

I know, anything can happen. But, Denver desperately needs this win, and Cincy isn't good on the big stage even with their starters. I expect Bengals offense to struggle moving the ball. I also expect McCarron to make a couple huge mistakes that are really costly.

I believe that if Cincy loses, they will have to win next week and hope Denver loses against the Chargers to get the "bye". The way the Ravens looked yesterday, I don't think McCarron can match that. Idk, we'll see.

Anyway, I REALLY enjoyed watching Ravens/Steelers yesterday. That was an exciting game for sure. I know we're division rivals and all. But, I ALWAYS root for the Ravens when they face Pitt,, always. I can't stand them, and will always root for them to get beat no matter what the situation may be.

Terrible. "Not even traveling with the team to Denver",,, ridiculous.

Billy, I always root for you guys when you play Pittsburgh, too!

That being said, I'll be rooting for you again tonight, just because I always get an inordinent amount of joy watching Denver lose, no matter what the circumstances - just can't stand Elway.

Thx MT. Watching the Steelers go down is always a thrill,, especially yesterday's game where you guys swept them for the season and put a big dent in their playoff hopes! Lol.

I don't like Denver much either. I'd rather see the Chiefs win that division.

Is it me or does it seem Manziel takes steps forward on the field but takes major steps back off the field?

So the Browns players got arrested on Christmas Morning and on Christmas Eve Manziel was out partying...

Sounds like he was at a party in a private home, not out bar hopping.

Safe to say he's as good as gone from SD.

I think the main problem the Browns have with him drinking is that it comes under a team agreement with him.

Can the dude not stay away from alcohol and partying? Lol he records the videos. Or at least the last one. Maybe he's trying to get out of Cleveland.

Bengals are seriously good team. The best in NFL right now.

Talented roster,, yes. Still a long way to go in this one though.

I am really impressed by McCarron so far. Best I've seen him play by far.

Regardless of this game. I don't think there's more complete team in the league at the moment.

Unfortunately agree, maybe Arizona. Can't tell a difference with the QB back there.

I agree. The roster for Cincy is probably the best all-around in the league. If they had a top-tier QB, they'd be dominant. That's the "rub" though. Dalton plays really well at times,, but he's not Flacco, Brees, Wilson level etc.. IMO.

When they get good QB play though, they're really good.

Sadly I still think bengals are 1 and done in th eplayoffs, need some better options at receiver and certainly at QB. I hope they finish denver off here and beat say the jets in the first match of the playoffs.
