Week 16 Discussion (Other Teams)

Can't hit anybody without a penalty, didn't even look like a bad hit to draw a penalty. This is why penalties need to be reviewable because anytime there is a big hit refs throw a flag in instinct thinking it had to be illegal.

The Chargers are still making decent plays, but they just can't get off the field anymore. Is one stop really that much to ask for?

This is ridiculous.

I actually think it's worse than watching us try to make a crucial stop.

I get wanting to give the ball to Woodson on offense but it's not the time to do some trickery play trying to win the game. Just straight up win the game, and give him the game ball.

It feels like I'm watching the Ravens here. It's absurd man.

Exactly. The Raiders were hopeless on third down (failed on something like 9 straight attempts) and suddenly turn into the Greatest Show on Turf despite a litany of OL penalties setting up long conversions. It's ridiculous.

How would a tie work? Assuming we lose out and the Chargers lose next week, who would pick first in the order?

Alright, so by chance the Chargers go down the field and get just a FG to tie it up at 23. If this game were to end in a tie, how do ties factor into the SOS considering we played both the Raiders and Chargers this year?

If that happened, I have no doubt we would tie Steelers on Sunday.

They would essentially have 4.5 wins

Nah, we would still get blown out. We would tie against the Bengals

Works for me then. Forget the rest, just need a scoring drive here.

Chargers lose :(

They looked so much more dominant than the Raiders and suddenly even long downs can't buy them a stop. Unbelievable.

Seriously, how did they bottle it at 2nd and 24?

What's even more unbelievable is how much winning one or both of the last two games while either Tennessee or Cleveland winning would change so much. Heading into week 16, the records are so close to one another that it is just insane how crazy this season has been.

3 Wins: 2 Teams(Titans & Browns)

4 Wins: 4 Teams(Ravens, Chargers, 49ers, Cowboys)

5 Wins: 5 teams(Bears, Saints, Lions, Dolphins, Jaguars)

6 Wins: 6 teams(Giants, Colts, Eagles, Bucs, Bills, Rams)

7 Wins: 4 Teams(Falcons, Texans, Redskins, Raiders)

They had a 2nd and 29

So all three teams who are rumored to move to LA won their "final" home game in their current cities. Now their fans wait to see if they get a late Christmas present in one of them not moving to LA and one, two, or all three stay in their current cities instead of moving to LA.

Whose everyone rooting for tonight, the Redskins to win the NFC Least or the Eagles to keep the NFC East alive for another week?

I'm torn. My pick is Washington, but I kind of want the plot to thicken.

I'll root for the field and just hope for a good game.

Redskins for two reasons. 1. EDP's rant. 2. It makes the NYG @ MIN game irrelevant.

I was messing around with the ESPN Playoff Machine and in a scenario where the Colts/Texans lose out and the Jaguars win out the Jaguars can win the AFC South at 7-9 in week 17. That is including the Jags beating the Texans in week 17 as well. With Weeden as the Texans QB, and the Colts QB situation a mess, the Jaguars could come in and steal the AFC South from them next week.

Gotta go with the Skins. My pops is a huge Skins fan and I always feel bad for him. Hope they get a division title. AND Cousins is a MSU product. Go Spartans!

The refs strike again. Ertz fumbled the ball and clearly recovered by the Redskins. Video shows his knee was clearly down before the ball came loose. Refs uphold the call and say that the fumble stands.

At this point, I'm not surprised when they get a challenge wrong.

Wow, Gruden says Kirk Cousins was supposed to throw a fade but took a kneel instead. So Cousins made his own decision against the coaches decision. Interesting.
