[News] Late For Work 12/22: Steve Smith Sr. Calls Out Report Saying He Won't Retire

43 posts in this topic

I would be happy if they just award us Joey Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, Laremy Tunsil, and Laquon Treadwell. We can just trade all this years picks and call it a day on day 1. The rest of our needs can be addressed in free agency. Sound good?

No overrated Bosa. He doesn't fit our scheme anyway. He's a 4-3 DE not a DE or OLB in a 3-4

Tunsil, Hargreaves or Stanley please!!

I hate these "insiders" speculating and making false statements. We saw that news item about Smith and we were like "YES!" ... and now we're like, if you don't know what you're talking about ... "Hush Up!".

I don't see Smith coming back and personally i'd like to see him retire for his own good(see Dennis Pitta)and give us a chance to develop what we have....But what Ever you do front office do not use a pick lower than 3rd rd for a receiver.....or 4th rd.....ok just sign a free agent or trade for one.....no more drafting Losers........

I for one am hoping that Steve Smith comes back for another year. If he does decide to retire, then he gave us a some thrills and I wish him well in his next ventures. We need our young WR's to step up now and fill the void. Those that don't have what it takes need to move on. The team has carried no-loads for far to long.

I can understand SS telling journals not to speak for him...but...I still think he'll be back...hope so! He's just too much fun and effective to see go out like he did.

I believe that this approach has a lot to do with coach Harbaugh's success over the long term:

No comparing discipline for Buck Allen, Timmy Jernigan. "Treat everybody differently, but fairly."

This is a lesson all supervisors should learn. It is not appropriate to treat everyone the same because we are all unique individuals, and as such each of responds differently to various forms of correction, punishment, communications, etc. By fitting the course of correction to the individual needing that correction, the coach is able to get the most that his players have to offer. If I screw up and am as a result treated in a way that is fair and that takes into account my personality, talents, strengths and weaknesses, then I will respond in a very positive manner. If, OTOH, I feel that I was treated in an arbitrary or pre-programmed manner, then my attitude may not be as positive.

PLEASE switch up the uniforms, those honey mustard pants seemed more like a punishment because of how bad we've been doing this year more than an alternate. I just wanna know who thought that those were a good idea? I'd like the Ravens to take a glance at what type of uniform designs Nike could come up with, I feel like when they changed up the Seahawks uniforms it gave them a different look that stood out from the rest of the league, I also see that now with the Jaguars creative helmets. The matte purple on the Vikings helmets look really good too. The only thing I like about the Bucs new uniforms is the big logo on the helmets, the designs to the numbers on the jerseys aren't too bad either, something different. Maybe Nike can do some designs and then the fans can vote, our opinion should matter, fans all over the world collectively spend millions of dollars on these jerseys every year, would be nice way to help us look forward to next year and forget about all the misery from these past three years. #JustMyOpinion
