[News] Injury Update On Jimmy Smith

Kind of surprised really. Thought for sure they'd say he was done for the season!

It looked like he pulled something as he had a limp in his step when he was running but he kept going so it's probably not too bad. A couple aspirin and a heating pad and he'll be right as rain I guess. Hope it's not that foot though!

Thats a great photo of jimmy smith by the way. Look at the fear in his eyes. Hes not tough hes soft. Ozzie doesnt know what to look for in finding ravens anymore the players hes brought i have been terrible. Dont get me started on kyle arrington lol such a joke. After belicheck gives up on a player he probably shouldnt be touched. but dont tell ozzie that

Jimmy I know everyone is jumping on you but I remember when you said to the press that you were

not playing as bad as everyone thought you were.. I hope after watching film you have begun to

realize you ARE playing as bad as people said. I think you need to lose some weight because you

are too slow to catch anyone. That might also help you cover better.. Just sayin

Maybe it was the yellow pants that did Jimmy in- regardless, he should not be playing at this point in the year because there's nothing to play for- if he gets injured (again of course), then that means Oz will have to draft 2-3 more corners- then again, Oz forgets this position altogether on draft days any way- smh...

I thought he was out for the season?

Might as well be, its not like hes made much of a difference. He has the worse hands of any corner ive ever seen

Jimmy is the classic example of how Steve B gets suckered. Jimmy has one decent year and they sign him to a contract that second to Joe salery cap hit next year and then turns back into a weak rookie. Now they have to keep him no mater how bad he plays. Sound familiar?

Big Ben is thrilled to hear some good news.....

The only thing Ben is worried about is if he can break Payton Manning record of touchdown passes on the Ravens. Which he currently holds second and third place. Funny how under Johns Era all these bad stats are taking place.  Brian B never had that problem.

Jimmy's contract is the same as every other above average CB in the league....His contract is not even close to those of top corners, great corners or even good corners. Another example of hate trading by the uninformed.

You'd love to see that. Even your beloved Squealers have a bad year every once and awhile (like choking at home in the play-offs last year). Maybe that explains your venom.....

Jimmi Smith is terrible, AGAIN, this year. No way he was hurt, he didn't d anything. Ravens has got to get rid of him. He brings on some major penalties thruout the game. Never close to his defender. Good bye, Jimmi

In recent weeks he has barely been targeted on throws.  That alone should tell you something.

Jimmy is a top CB when healthy.... 2 problems with that statement. 1. He has been injured a good deal throughout his career. Hope he is better learning how to prepare and take care of his body to add some longevity to his career. 2. He is a top notch CB who has been inconsistent at best and I blame that on this defense scheme. he is a product of a scheme that has not allowed 1 DB to excel in this system. NOT a single DB has played consistently well under dean pees... NOT ONE! Help Jimmy and the rest of the DB's out and get rid of Pees for Christmas!

It would be "new" to have an article on when Jimmy Smith is NOT injured.... SMH... Oz gave him a huge contract too- he's not a shut down corner, no offense.. and he's always injured like Webb...

http://overthecap.com/position/cornerback/

He is currently 6th in the league in yearly average, behind only Revis, Sherman, Peterson, Haden and Maxwell(LOL).  I think he's worth it personally, I haven't seen him picked on in any one game since Amari Cooper torched him early in the year.

But to your original point, he does seem to be everyone's scapegoat over the last few weeks for some reason..

If Jimmy could get a pick vs Big Jen and lead us to a victory this week.. that would be our 2015 super bowl ... to sweep the sqeelers.

3 game sweep! Can't forget the playoffs last year! Troy polamalu's last game lol!!!
