Who falls to us?

supposedly. I think he may have said that just to show people how commited he was to the colts and was trying not to get fired. And a offer from the Ravens could be something that changes his mind. Kubiak said he wasn't taking any job offers either...until Denver came calling.

lol remember when boldin would've retired if he couldn't continue with the ravens? Hilarious.

If we're picking 4th like we're destined to, then I think its time to say goodbye to Tunsil. I still believe Bosa has a solid chance to be there for us.

said goodbye to tunsil long ago my friend. I am having a very hard time believing bosa falls to us though, I just don't see any scenario playing out that doesn't possibly cost a gm their job lol

let's just hope all of this is happening for a reason and ends up being a blessing in disguise. Tunsil ends up being the biggest bust in draft history and our guy who we traded back for (Stanley, hargreaves, ogbah etc.)makes the pro bowl his rookie year and eventually gets inducted into the ring of honor. Much stranger things have happened right? Edited by January J

I think people should wait until after the combine and bowl games before giving up on specific prospects.

Didn't you know we know exactly how the first round is gonna play out? Nothing can change in the 5-6 months before the draft

iknowryt? Lol, it's not like prospects have fallen due to one guy having a killer combine. If Stanley posts a better 40, it's possible he could go above Tunsil. If Bosa runs a little slow, he could fall. Nothing is set in stone here.

Stanley's already being projected above tunsil in quite a few mocks I've seen.

Really? I'm not surprised. I think it's possible it could go either way. I think people often hype a prospect because he's popular here to the point of outrageous projections. I don't disagree that Tunsil could be off the board, but Stanley could go before him. Your post saying that some mocks have him above Tunsil doesn't surprise me. Only one team needs to like him more. His footwork is excellent, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was the first off the board.

reasons?

I think he's just as dominate as Bosa. He tore Joshua Garnett apart who is widely considered the best guard in this draft. I feel like Buckner is no where near his sealing.

I just feel like Buckner is only a tad more developed than Armsted was last year, and that scares me. We have plenty of D-Line depth and could develop him, but with a pick that high you want immediate impact which is something I don't see from him. At least not to the level of Bosa

Armstead is already the niners best player on defense. Buckner and Bosa are on the same level, Buckner may be even better. Canty is a free agent after this season and we have no interior pass rush, Buckner would be a great addition to our d line.

Yeah, I really really like Buckner. That guy has talent. I'm not sure if he fits but I wouldn't mind him. Going to watch more of him soon.

I think he could rise. I've watched a bit of him myself. I think with his athleticism and power he can fit here. I think he can be a great 5-tech here. He would continue our tradition of stingy run defenses, IMO that's his biggest strength but he is a bit underdeveloped as a pass rusher but I don't think he'll be a bad one either. I wouldn't mind him but it's not the biggest need on the board, I hope some team in the top 5 falls in love with him.

What I meant was I think he's a guy we'd pass on because of need at other positions. We seem to go BPA at need. I think we'd go Smith before Buckner, although I think he could be devastating as a 4-3 end.

Oh ok, I see what you mean. I don't really think he'll be a guy we'll take. I see him as a guy we would hope to rise to help others fall to us.

Stanley already might be the cleanest offensive lineman prospect in the draft and all he really needs to do is work on his leg strength and develop a killer mentality and he's got the highest ceiling in the draft.

Yeah. He's really a great prospect. I'll be thrilled if we get him. I think he and Tunsil are the best OL prospect since Williams and Smith.

Tunsil, Stanley, Bosa and Hargreaves are the elites and I do feel Stanley has joined that group. Stanley and the rest of those guys would be a top ten pick in any draft. I do like Tunsils ceiling more but thats just me personally, I think we need to land one of those four.

The Browns are taking Bosa.

They invested alot of drafts/FA finding a pass rusher past 5years. All flopped. If Bosa wears the browns Jersey, they will find a way to make him into a bust. Guaranteed.

like i said in the other topic. I feel we will pass on tunsil due to his domestic charge. Im not sure he will even be on our board. But thats just me i guess

Tunsil protected his mom from his stepdad. That makes me like him more if anything.

Right now if the draft was today, I wouldn't be surprised if this is how it went down:

1. Titans: Joey Bosa

2. Browns: A'Shawn Robinson

3. Chargers: Ronnie Stanley

4. Cowboys: Jaylon Smith

5. Niners: Paxton Lynch

6. Dolphins: Vernon Hargreaves III

7. Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey

8. Ravens: Laremy Tunsil

I know he's a DT but I am surprised but the utter lack of attention Robinson gets around here. He has played phenomenal this year and has been a dominant player on a very good Alabama team.

Oh...

Because I would lose it if we took ANOTHER DT. I like Robinson.. A lot actually. I think he could be a very good player.

But not here. Please someone draft him before us so he cannot be here.

Yeah, I can see the Browns taking him. They need help on the run defense.

That's why I think he makes a lot of sense for the Browns. They just drafted a DT high but he hasn't quite given them what they wanted and they have Manizel who looks like he could help them get to the next level. I don't like Manziel but I get why they don't want to give up on him. I would like to go in a different direction, but Robinson would be a classic Ozzie Newsome pick. He's a really good player, and while he's not at the top of my list because I also want a different position, I could see him pull the trigger.

What I mean is that nobody talks about him as a guy who could go in front of us. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a lot more attention the closer we get to the Draft.

I get a kinda later top 10 vibe with Robinson, almost in the same region as a guy like Treadwell, but his strengths line up a lot with what we already do well so I haven't looked as much into him as I have with other guys. It's an interesting thought, especially with Kim D seemingly channeling his inner Tom Petty and free falling.

I honestly have no idea what the Browns do, but a trench guy makes a lot of sense. Bosa should be their pick if he's there, but knowing the Browns they're probably just as likely to take Le'Raven Clark. It also seems like what they do with their pick could set off a fair few dominoes too (isn't the draft fun).

Personally I still see the Chargers taking Tunsil. He just seems to fit what they like on OL and should have better measurables. I'd then peg Stanley to the Dolphins or Jags, but that's me. Smith to the Cowboys makes a ton of sense, but one interesting x-factor could be if a team like Norleans wants to trade up for a QB. A blockbuster trade like that is just the kind of thing Jerry would get excited by and they're right in front of the Sailboats so they're in a perfect trading spot. That could well see Smith head to Florida two or three picks later (this is kinda what I was getting at when I said the Browns would set a few things off).

I'm still a bit cynical of our chances of getting an OT (I know it's early days and my previous paragraph alone shows how much is still in flux because it's only December - this is just how I see things shaking out atm and is obviously subject to change), but it's not out of the realm of possibility and I didn't mean to imply otherwise after today's game.

All the more reason the Browns will take him :P
