[News] Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Chiefs

84 posts in this topic

I tweeted yesterday that if Dumervil doesn't get a sack and Jah Reid contains him, if I was Steve Bisciotti, there would be an O-Line coach who had some explaining to do and a head coach who is allowing this O-line coach to exercise his poor talent evaluation skills. Perhaps Castillo can coach, I don't know, I think something other than injuries is going on with Monroe, Jah Reid leaves here and is touted a bust but goes to KC and shuts down Dumervil. It seems to me that players don't want to get motivated or play for Castillo in addition to the fact he is a lousy talent evaluator. I am not on the inside, but from the outside, it looks like Castillo may be buddies with the head coach, but he sure isn't motivating anyone to play.

For anyone calling for Trestman's head: try baking a cake without water, eggs, sugar, butter, chocolate and flour - and then see what you can do without the necessary ingredients...

... and how you react when someone says you're a lousy cook.

When I finally stopped laughing at this post, I realized it was one of the most brilliant analogies I have ever read !!! I completely agree with you 200%, I just wish others would stop blaming Marc Trestman for any failures of this team this year..... If anything, this offense made up of mostly 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers has become a weekly very entertaining show of talent, that I am personally enjoying just to watch and see what all the young players will do :)

I think I must be the only fan that actually liked the gold pants.... They were a bit of an adjustment when I first saw them, but they grew on me throughout the game. I was also thinking that once the field becomes grass and dirt next season, those gold pants will hold up much better than the white pants, which I dislike more than the gold........

Is it the coaches job to stop it or the players? Which one of them is wearing the helmets and the pads?

Totally agree. The players play. Coaches coach. Some players just can't cover and it's the coaches fault? Geez.Smh

We need to bench Jerginan. Fumbles are 50-50 as they depend on opponents and no matter how secure you keep it there's a chance out there that it happens. But personal fouls after someone has gone a mile out of bounds is just stupid and this is not the first time his fouls have cost us. Good player but needs discipline.

Overreaction. Jah Reid has been nothing special in KC. He got a whopping $3M guaranteed on his extension, which basically means he's playing under a year-to-year contract. Keep in mind also that he spent two years with the Ravens prior to Castillo even being a coach here, and he struggled then as well.

He would be a downgrade on any of our three tackles, including Monroe and KO.

I have no remaining thoughts on the Ravens 2015 football season. Can't wait to get out the country this weekend and enjoy a 2 week vacation away from football despite us playing the Steelers and Bengals the last 2 games.

Jah Reid containing Dumervil? Last I checked Dumervil and company were pushing Reid all over the place. The reason we don't have many sacks was because of the quick throws that the Chiefs had.

My 5 Takeaways: 1) Ditch the yellow mustard pants. The equipment manager should go on the list of people on the hot seat rolling those uniforms out this week. 2) Kamar Aiken deserves a spot on this team moving forward. Not as a number one, but he has earned a role on this squad. 3) While I realize desperate times call for desperate measures, the fake punt from deep in our own territory on 4th and 9 was one of the dumbest play calls I have ever seen. 4) Watching Schaub and now Clausen just makes me appreciate Flacco even more than I did previously over the past 8 seasons. 5) This season cannot end soon enough.

Yes, makes complete sense to bench a rookie RB that the Ravens need to develop for next year. ARE YOU freaking' SERIOUS EISENBERG? Leave the kid in and let him play through adversity. Let him get more experience and understand the speed of the game better. He got held up in a pile of dust and the ball came out, didn't seem noticeably careless to me. Na, on second thought, just BENCH him to SEND A MESSAGE. SMH.

Well, it was the second straight week its happened. How many times does he have to fumble before you take him out?

Play Mallett the next 2 games.

Why? I'd much rather see more of Clausen.

I've pretty much seen enough of Mallett to know what he is.

Clausen at least has a shot of winning this backup job next summer. I don't even envision Mallett making it past May.

Stupid mistakes, stupid penalties. The more things change the more they remain the same. The Ravens have been mistake prone since game number 1 and NOTHING has changed.

You really think Harbaugh went, in one season, from being one of the winningest coaches in the NFL, to an ineffective coach who can't enforce discipline in his players?  No.  This team is an example of what can happen in the NFL due to player attrition, salary cap issues, injuries, and some draft picks just not working out (could ANYONE have foreseen the Perriman debacle??). Some of the draft picks appear to be plain stupid (sorry, but Timmy Jernigan has done the same stupid things time and again...some players never learn).  Harbaugh has kept this team motivated and hard-working in the face of some unimaginable odds.  Not that he is perfect, but what coach is?  We'll be lucky if he stays.  Or doesn't have a heart attack from the stress.

Hey!  lets watch next year....ok?

They're grown men getting paid millions. If you need another adult to tell you not to hit guys late, then the lack of discipline is 100% the players problem, not the coaches.

So.....get rid of all the coaches folks they're not needed!.........harbs is not in charge of this team....

the caste is going to crumple this off-season. the real question is who will survive. could this be ozzie's last year? will the preseason's hinting of the afc title or bust still be in play? will mr. b keep the off hands approach? have the ravens lost their grasp on the blue collar work ethic? who will be held accountable for the failures of the defensive secondary? can the ravens actually get a #1 receiver? will joe be joe? or even available? will the ravens have enough money to field a worthy team? ....the hard questions are endless. the 1996 ravens were 4-12. never did anyone think that the this years team would comparable to that. it seems that the values that made the ravens reputation has been lost among active players and coaches.

Harbaugh rightfully sends message about overall turnovers problem. Ravens beat themselves with mistakes.

View the full article

Harbaugh/Defensive Coordinator are  top quality-- To have these millionaires still hitting hard and playing solid defense with the weak DBs we have is commendable-- This team is severly challenged on Offense-- Ozzie and the boys WILL BE BACK !! Look at the big picture-- No knee jerk reactions here-- 2016 rebound WILL HAPPEN
