The (good?) Bad, Really Bad and Totally Awful -- Week 15 version

Everybody wanted jimmy signed. No one complained

I wanted to see him prove himself this year before being signed. I will say this again, even when not injured he is an erratic player!! He NEVER played consistent. Matter of fact far more bad than good play.

That's really false.

No it isnt, because he was considered a bust for a couple seasons before he played well for a couple stretches. Jimmy has only flashed. Never been considered for a pro bowl. Yet he gets called shutdown not because of his consistent play but he is a round1 pick with prototype size and speed. Jimmy is done!! He has flashed his 15 minutes on American idol. He is eliminated.

Nope. He was shutting down top Wr's week in and week out like Julio Jones, Megatron, Brandon Marshall and others before he got hurt Edited by ludy51

The defense overall was playing well. He did slow a couple #1 receivers down but just was never consistent. Injuries may have taken a toll on his overall explosiveness which is why he should not of been signed so fast. I do not see Jimmy being an elite cornerback moving into next year.

I can't even remember any  number one receiver having a great game or even  having 100 receiving yards when Jimmy Smith  started in 2013-14 so the part when you said he never was consistent doesn't make sense to me.   I honestly don't know how Jimmy Smith will play next season but good cornerbacks or elite cornerbacks have down season.

:..and we'll be The Baltimore Ravens again.  We're not dead... It's not the end of the world.  We suffered some tragic losses this year.  We're just growing with a young group of guys.  We can be a very good team.  People just need to be patient.

MG,, I come in peace and not to beat a dead horse because we had this discussion,

but there is an article "Untold Story behind the super bowl blackout" in that they spoke of the injuries vs, the loses,

this is what I refereed to as the pre flacco injury.

Green, Julio, Brown, Gordon, Megatron, Jeffrey, Marshall, etc all averaged about five targets, two catches, 20 yards when matched up with Jimmy

To be fair - Jimmy had great help from Elam vs Megatron. Pissed him of before the game, then Johnson kept trying too hard.

Uh, yeah, I don't think it's that at all...

If Megatron needed a rookie SS, who wouldn't be covering him, to motivate him or allowed that to get into his head, then I have no idea what to say.

I will admit he wasn't all there that day with a few uncharacteristic drops, but I can almost guarantee it wasn't Elam.
