The (good?) Bad, Really Bad and Totally Awful -- Week 15 version

137 posts in this topic

Aiken has stepped up but still a #3 at best. Sure hope SSS does decide for one more year and we get Perriman on the field next season. TEs look promising. I like West/Allen as a RB duo.

Nothing good about this game.

The totally awful though: Those pants. Who in their right mind looked at those and thought they were a good idea? Steelers are our #1 rival and we wear pants that look like we borrowed them from the Steelers. Ugh.

I have to agree with you on that Aiken has been good but he is a #3 at best on any other team. The playing time has been good for him to hone his skill.

I know, which is why the decision was even worse. They absolutely should've waited.

After what happened in 2014 without him? Yeah, that'd be smart.

Plus, with how he played in 2014, would you truly want to risk him going to FA with KO, Upshaw, Tucker, amongst others in a year when the Ravens have barely any cap? Imagine if he had repeated his 2014 performance. There was no way the Ravens were going to wait.

He stunk it up this year. Now we get to bask in the reward to keep him w/ a fat contract on his head.

Again, he's not even playing under his new contract yet.... and he actually improved significantly after the bye week, but hey, it's easy to just criticize a person for the past than to watch improvement, I suppose.

I though the O-line played very well, especially in pass blocking. Osemele looked like a  decent LT, too.

Zadarius Smith also impressed me. He was all over the field and showed a good motor.

Kamar is simply a good receiver. If he was faster, he'd be a stud.

Just stop blaming the coaches and front office at this point, with 19 guys on IR, it just sounds ridiculous.

Stop making excuses. Its obviously a bigger issue than injuries at this point. That's an old and tired excuse and doesn't hold water for three straight years.

Just so we're all clear on this, he's playing on the fifth year option right now, not that contract extension. Just want to throw that out there that he'd still be here with or without that contract extension.

. Not to mention he was a shutdown corner our super bowl year.

And he was definitely coming along the following season as well. Heck, even last year before his Lisfranc injury.

Well put. I do think we are going to see some changes this off season I just don't know how deep the changes will go as far as players or players and coaches we will see.

Yeah, he was really playing well in that playoff run.

He is a good player and the last couple of weeks I have not seen him looking at the other players when things go wrong.

Stat of the day that should be encouraging: The Ravens defense had TEN tackles for LOSS, SEVEN by the linebackers, including TWO sacks by Z'Darius Smith.

I felt it was important to emphasize those stats in such a disheartening game...

9 offensive starters on IR....  How many on the field at a time?  Yeah, uh huh, that too!

Not sure he's been really confident on that foot at all this year.

If he doesn't step up next season (barring injury of course), then I'll lose faith in him.

Like I said well put Mom Gene. I do think its going to be a fun and interesting off season just to see what Oz and John come up with and how they shuffle things in and out of the organization. I am on Harbs and Oz side and I think they will have a legitimate plan of attack to get us back on track for some post season runs the next few years. But in order for that to happen we both know some of the people in the organization will be gone and some will be moved to different jobs.

I think if we're fully healthy were are a wild-card team. With more pieces we should compete for a bye. By fully healthy I don't mean with no injuries at all but at least if we were cut slack on players we couldn't lose like Sizzle, Smith Sr. BP, and Monroe. I think we would at least be up there with NYJ and Pitt.

Even with the injuries, if we win half of our 8 games decided by 8 points or fewer, we'd be right in the thick of it.

As Bruce Campbell said that famous line "Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the gun!". We used to have that gun, the defense....no any more. How has it fallen so fast and hard is what I want to know? GO RAVENS!

I hope that KC gets in the playoffs. Remember, they beat the Chargers in the last game of the regular season last year to help get us in the playoffs! Maybe if we pull off a miracle and beat the Steelers, KC can get in...

They're currently in at the moment. It's the Jets that are the odd team out at this juncture.

1.  Not their QB, not their #1 receiver, not their starting RB, not 1/2 their O-Line... We have 9 offensive starters on IR.

2.  They did provide them.  Who expected ALL OF THEM to get hurt????

3.  Hmmm..  they are working with 3rd and 4gt stringers, and guys who haven't been here but a couple of weeks?

4.  They are willing to try anything at this point.  Wouldn't you?????

Just sayin.  it's crazy.

MOM-GENE,,,

hey you sound angry, I  got dinged for so many question marks and exclamation marks, this is just a discussion . you make a point and get a response. lets be civil.

now with that said, I am all in for my RAVENS,, always have been and always will be. what a lot of people here do is create excuses, we can not accept mediocrity or we end up like the --------- (not to be mean), will not name team names. But its fans like you and me that will continue to see things different. its ok,, we are fans , I love my city (west side pimlico rd)  my state and my team..

How many points did we average on offense at our best this year what around 28 points, defense gave up 34 and plus 30 last week, you have never heard me being critical of our offense, heck , I like claussen over schaub, I  may be a part of the few that likes our OC,he has done alot with little what can he do with alot, hhmmmmm,,

I am extremely hard on HARB and our DC,, our defense should not have fallen that far off with Suggs out the line up, very poor schemes, Harb has always made bone headed mistakes, that fake punt was insane.

anyway wrote way too much,, we are making points not making angry gestures because we disagree.

Defense didn't give up 34 this week.  Didn't you see the pick six and the fumble.   Also if you aren't going to eat up clock and keep giving the ball back over to the other team the defense will eventually give up points.  In the Seahawks game the Ravens defense played well the first half.  Claussen is terrible and should never play in the NFL again.

Allen with the fumbling....he would definitely be a spectator were we healthy at all.

Every running back in the NFL has fumbles.  Jamal Lewis fumbled 8 times in back to back seasons.  Harbaugh is an idiot.  Why not bench Flacco when he throws an interception.  Sorry Harbaugh continually overreacts to a single play in a game.

He has fumbled the last two games.

I stand corrected, you are correct. as far as the points on defense, now what I said is I prefer claussen over schaub,

also our defense is bad but half the battle is schemes  and a quarter is personnel  and another quarter is adjustments,, schemes and adjustments are on the coach.

what QB would you play if not claussen.

Claussen has thrown interceptions last two games.  Why not bench him?

Your mistake is assuming I said he should have benched him. Harbaugh makes these calls you should get a message to him. Besides, QB and RB are two totally different balls of wax. Bad comparison period. Plus, two games back to back, what coach is gonna put up with that? Oh you would...that's who.

Very true so let's deflate the football and have less fumbles, it worked for the P*triots   ;)
