What are the realistic odds that the Ravens beat the Steelers and the Jets beat the Patriots?

I would say under 5%.

Christmas miracle? Frankly, dreams don't involve odds. Let's keep the dream alive. To heck with being realistic.

Whatever the number is for most points allowed in a game by our franchise, add 10 to that number and that's my prediction.

If the Steelers get way up in the score I think they will pull Ben; why would they risk injury to run up a score?

I find it ridiculous and frankly a bit embarrassing that we are reduced to hoping for a miracle or having to subscribe to an "any given Sunday",mind set.

Sadly, this thinking is both appropriate and realistic. Our front office/organization ought to be embarrassed that we cannot field a team that cannot even hope, outside of the miraculous, to compete this Sunday.

There is no excuse.

Maybe just to add insult to injury and embarass us.

Hearing Ryan Mallett may start on Sunday, ugh.

Why couldn't we just go sign Tim Tebow or something.

The team should secretly sign Kyle Boller and have him start the game.

There is nothing I would love more than to knock the Steelers out of the playoffs but the probability of that happening is slim and dim with either Clausen or Schaub under center. Neither knows what its like to be in a Ravens - Steelers game. It will be a rather rude awakening for either of them. With Joe throwing to a group of total novice receivers, we at least had a chance to win. Without Joe, we have a snowball's chance in a furnace to win. However, there are three ways we can possibly win. First, we wear the black jerseys and gold pants to make ourselves look like the Steelers; this will confuse the helmetless motorcycle riding Steelers QB and he will throw the balls into the waiting hands of our marvelous secondary. Secondly, if we hit Big Ben over the head with Ryan's Mallett and force him into concussion protocol, the Steelers' backup QB will make it a level playing field.  Finally, we need to deflate Pittsburgh's footballs. Apparently, there is no penalty in the NFL for doing so. I know this strategy sounds extreme but its a better game plan than faking a punt from your own 17 yard line on a 4th down and 9 yards to go in the first half when you're trailing by only 14-7. Seriously though, I have a feeling this one will get real ugly very quickly.

Okay, that was some funny stuff. "Hit Big Ben over the head with Ryan's Mallett." LOL

Jimmy probably wouldn't cover him anyway.

Considering the Ravens don't shadow, the only way this would happen is if the Steelers feared Jimmy shutting down Brown

The last home game of the season against the hated pittsburgh Steelers! I will be going of course! I hope we can pull this out! It would be a great Xmas gift to sweep them this year!

Jimmy was able to shut Brown down for like four games. Probably still dealing with the Lisfranc now though.

Well, ticket prices are staying up.

b/c all of the Steeler fans like yourself are buying them.  Thanks for contributing to Baltimore's economy.

And it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Smith doesn't finish the game after he pulled up lame Sunday.

You're welcome. I don't mind the city of Baltimore. People are people.  It's good for all the Ravens fans dumping their tickets. They've been losing money up until this week.  B)

That could happen but the risk wouldn't be very smart from a coaching perspective. Of course, this is just my opinion.

With his history, it wouldn't surprise me if he was inactive for this game.

I actually think this game will be closer than people think.

Lololololol. Just like people thought the Chiefs game would be close .

It ain't gonna be close . I just hope that Ravens ticket holders still

don't sell their tickets to Squeelers fans .

Can't believe we gave a big contract to him after he has shown no capability of staying healthy .

Yeah - I'd like to say ... division game, rivals, throw out the records ... this game will be close.

Our games were close before we lost Joe and Steve and, for the couple games without them, against crappy teams (CLE, MIA).

No Joe, no SSS vs. solid teams have yielded dismal results. I'm afraid I can't see this Sunday being any different. Nonetheless, I attended last weeks game and stayed until the clock showed 0:00.

Not sure who "They" are but if you're referring to the Ravens organization, I seriously doubt they are losing money. The secondary market mark-up has disappeared and the seats have been filled up all but for the last few weeks. Even then, I think the majority of those empty seats were paid for, but were no shows.

Don't worry about NFL teams and money. I think they are all generally managing to squeak by.

OK all, just a few days ago I posted a lighthearted post about the miracle it would take for us to get a win this weekend against the Steelers. Today, I want to post about how proud I am of this franchise. Yes, this is a season that tested the will of it’s fans. However, maybe the reason we feel so tested is we have been pretty spoiled in the 20 year history of the Ravens. It’s hard for me to believe that none of the storied franchises out there have not gone through a season like this. This is the kind of season that define a fan base. Wrong, right or otherwise I’m definitely willingly to give this franchise a chance to right the ship. I know it won’t be easy, but I just can’t believe this will go on for years. I will be there Sunday. Not expecting it to be pretty. However, if all the cards align and somehow we pull this off, boy I’m going to setback and enjoy seeing the STEELER fans go home disappointed.

Go Ravens!! #RavensNation
