[News] Daniel Brown Out To Prove He Can Make It As An NFL Wide Receiver

40 posts in this topic

That's wild. I can't imagine the range of emotions from getting cut and then less than 72 hours later your making your NFL debut during Monday night football. That's awesome. I hope he gets plenty of opportunities in these last few games and shows them what he's got.

These are the players that put everything they have into being THEE best ....... They work way harder to have to prove themselves once given the opportunity. (See Justin Tucker, and so many others.... ) I really like this young man and think he will do very well for us :)

He's going to show the coaches that all the fans calling for him to be on the field were right.  He needs a TD that the refs don't steal away.

If we actually want to keep one of those big bodied receivers I think out of him Marlon and waller... If were gonna keep one of those guys we need to keep Dan brown... That being said I don't see any of the three being on the 53 DAY 1 emphasis on day 1 but I can see us keep him around on the ps

Said it before and will say it again... liked him from the get go and was puzzled why they let him walk. He has a way of finding the open spot which is sometimes more important than speed. And he's big enough to where he can shake off some DB's tackles. They very well might have found a "diamond in the rough" and if he shines these last three games the Ravens won't be the only team interested.

Dan Brown can play.... he has showed that with every opportunity he has been given. In the preseason... he looked to be ahead of Butler, Marlon and Kamar.... I don't think anything has changed.... I would still rate him above all three.... heading into next year! Glad he is getting the chance to show it!

Brown flashes when he is on the field. A big fast physical WR is what we have been begging for in Baltimore. I would like to see his role expand along with Jeremy Butler.

Lets not get all crazy here... Yes Daniel Brown has been balling the last few games... there isn't much film on him and I doubt he's game planned for by opposing defenses... so to say he's better than Kamar is asinine... I like the guy.. he shows a knack for getting open at the point the ball is in the air... he's shown to have strong hands and catch what he's supposed to... but Kamar has been on fire since Steve got hurt...

I do think that throughout the NFL there is a distinct disadvantage against those coming from a small school. Daniel is not the first, nor will he be the last small school player to have an extra hurdle to get as many looks as the players from the big school programs. I am just glad Daniel is getting a shot to prove he belongs in the NFL. I hope Daniel continues to grow and excel, he has worked hard for the opportunity and he is earning my respect as an NFL receiver.

Mr. Brown has shown at least 2 very important attributes for a receiver; he gets separation and catches the ball. That along with his, I belong here...I can do this, small school attitude; makes him well worth watching and rooting for.

I've been rooting for this guy since training camp. It was plain to see, he can play football. Remember he blocked a punt and ran it in for a TD, then caught a game winning TD. And our front office put him on the practice squad, cut him, brought him back, cut him again? All the while saying we are searching for a receiver and this guy is sitting in our own backyard. Come On Man!!!

Daniel Brown has earned and deserved every opportunity he has gotten. Being from a small school is an extra hurdle for all players trying to make it in to the NFL, having less exposure and hype. I wish him a ton of success. Daniel could possibly become a potentially very solid receiver so I hope he doesn't yo-yo on and off the squad or roster as much from this point on.

I was rooting for him and Jeremy and now they're both on the team. It took a season of injuries but they have their chance now to prove they can play.

Same here bro, since DAY 1, its a miracle he got back because the coaches/staff never gave him a fair shot.

Forget about Aiken or is this Daniel Brown's account?

Aikens a joke, an argument can be had for him ruining or season by not stepping up when he was given the opportunity to start by default when we needed him to, and also by fumbling the ball in the raiders game 2nd game of the season. We havent forgotten

He should have been the first choice and Renner as well. Why do we have a practice squad system?  You can't have a good reciever without a good QB
