Todd Mcshays 2016 mock draft 2.0

57 posts in this topic

These guys are "professionals" so I'm guessing, or rather know that they have watched much more films and have done much more evaluations than myself but goodness, I'm truly dumbfounded by all of this. First off, how can Tunsil fall that far? I don't see any reason for him to get passed San Diego, but for him to slide past us would be silly.

I'm guessing he didn't get the news on Nkemdiche either, he will fall down a lot of boards.

I don't like that pick for us at 4, I would be fine if we traded back but picking Ramsey at 4 is questionable and uncharacteristic of Oz.

heres the thing, most of these analysts really dont watch more than the superfans do, and i fully believe that fans of an AFC north team, could predict the browns tendencies in the FO better than some draft analyst could. these guys have never built any credibility aside from mayock, and mcshay has got to be the worst. some other respectable ones are daniel jeremiah, kiper, and walter football the past 2 years has been very solid, aside from that, these guys are just mediocre journalists.

I agree, I was speaking more alongside the prospects rather than the AFC North. Yeah, I heard McShay is awful and yes its early but at the same time some of this stuff just seem rediculous. I do heard that Jeremiah and Mayock have some credibility and I know of them as well, Mayock has been a bit spot on with our picks in his final mocks. I do know about Walter Football is kinda awful lol

if we resign KO . I think i would be too enticed for tunsil if hes there say at the 3 spot..(which we might take)

I mean c;mon

TUNSIL KO ZUTTAH YANDA WAGNER.

that would be beastly.

I'm with you on this man. Building a dominant oline improves the entire offense. Look at how it helped the Cowboys. Joe has shown with a good online he can rip defenses up, I would be all for this move, more so I'd we can resign KO.

So mcshay has ogbah at 31 and kiter didn't even have him in the first, interesting..

Side note, am I the only one worried about our rb position? I know a lot of people are excited about Allen and the jury is still out, I just don't see it. LT won't stay healthy. I hope I'm wrong though

Buck looked average against the defence that held Adrian Peterson to 18 yards off eight carries the week before. I know he had some pretty soft front sevens in previous weeks, but I'm fine with him and Forsett going forward.

Seattle also held allen to 14 yards on 8 carries, he just makes his money in the passing attack which im ok with...

He does seem servicible and if we can resign KO and grab Tunsil or Stanley we could have a great Oline which would obviously make any rb's life easier.  I see him as a ...alfred blue maybe? I could be way off there lol

theres a good reason man, hes a 8th and lower kind of guy, you just cant take someone with so many red flags in the top 5, i mean.. you can, but its hard to.

i personally see problems on the field and potential problems on the sideline as well as the locker room. it almost feels like hes guaranteed to be near the top of the league in personal fouls, and he plays extremely undisciplined, ive heard rumors from no credible source that he basically disregards the DC and makes up his own assignments, and yea i didnt have a credible source but it seems like a very ramsey thing to do, that wouldnt fly around here.

Ed reed use to do that kinda stuff as well though and dare i say it worked pretty well for him lol.

him, west and forsett will be more than alright , esp if we bolster our line. IMO he has the potential to be a poor mans Arian foster.

yea if we bolster our oline im sure he will put up good numbers.  Guess im just stuck missing more of a playmaker ie Rice than these straight ahead runners.

if we could get another Jamal Lewis in the draft then I say hell yeah go for it. I just don't see it this year. Ezekiel Elliot or Henry in the 2nd would be cool I guess but even then I'm pretty sure I'd rather have Boyd. Now the ideal scenario (which would involve a little bit of luck as well) would be to trade back and get an extra first next year. Hopefully the team we trade with loses around 12 games and we get in range to grab fournette. Not sure how long he will last but I can't see him making it out of the top 10.., esp with another year to get stronger and smarter.

Yea i was thinking of the exact same thing about fournette for next year if we could trade back this year.  I dont see fournette making it past the browns, titans,  next year.  Id be all for trading up to get fournette, also depends how we do next year obviously.

I agree id rather have boyd than elliot, Rbs like him imo can be found rounds 2-4...hell rice was in the second.

Do we draft CB, Fs, Pass Rusher, OT 1st?

I think OT without a doubt is a immediate need for us at this point. I don't see us keeping KO around and we are in a ideal spot to take a franchise tackle.

Let's trade back for Stanley and take Boyd in the 2nd...

I'd be very pleased if things panned out that way.

do you think Ramsey can be on the same level and consistently be right when he goes rogue? Not saying he can't, but I'd have a hard time thinking anyone can do what ed did

no idea.

will depend on how much he studies and his football IQ.

nobody knew ray and ed would do the things they did either otherwise both would have gone much higher....

well thats certainly true, im just not sure i see the same kind of guy in ramsey. ray and ed were like mad scientists, ramsey is just a mad dog it seems like. i wish i could be high on ramsey, i really want to like him for us since he looks like the best safety prospect since the berry/thomas year, and i love the swagger he plays with, but i could absolutely see him being a flag magnet and a liability in the NFL, its a hard image to avoid for the guy

If I were taking any RB in the draft, it would be Elliott but not until the second and there would be guys there that I would probably want more

with a top 5 pick?

Yeah Treadwell would be a trade back target for me, really depends on the offer we get and who is on the board

I still think we need a WR...I would get Treadwell

treadwell may not even go top 10, he just isn't that kind of wr, this wr class is mid loaded but weak at the top, too many better options than treadwell at the top

meh i see in him a more physical version of mathieu TBH.

depends on how they grade his personality he could be what we need.

if he is coachable then he might be the right guy.

i probably lean more towards hargreaves and have webb play FS/Nickle.

think biggest need is pass rusher though.

he reminds me of Brian dawkins, but I have to question if he has nfl caliber range to play FS the way he did, and the iq as well. Dawkins was an aggressive and hard hitting guy but he was smart and disciplined, he didn't get exposed on over aggression very often, I could see Ramsey struggling with that. I don't want a safety top 5 who is going to play corner at a mediocre level for the rest of his career. Not saying any of this is a guarantee, just an educated guess because he is showing some signs to give us reason to doubt him

Just trade down, collect a player you want and multiple other high picks.

This. I wouldn't take him in the Top 10 but if we can't get Bosa then I say trade back.

If Treadwell was in last years class he would probably be a late 1st-early--2nd draft pick IMO. I like him a lot but he has benefited in being in an average class of WRs.
