KO at left tackle in 2016.

Where and when did you play OLine?? Have you ever been to NFL camps?? Where did you work out. I know many college offensive lineman. A lot From Maryland. BTW I know somebody in Rhode island media. He told me whoever lines up at right guard needs help like Connolly and somebody else I can not remember the name at this second. It was during mankins last year with'em.

Played OL for a dominant HS program in Maryland and fullback in college. As a fullback I practiced with the OL a lot to go through blocking schemes, blitz pick ups, etc... It's just really difficult to scheme help to a RG with a 3 over top. The center can't help with the 3, and if the RT helps with the 3, you have a LE going against a TE or a back, which is hella undesirable. That's why I'd prefer locking up a dominant RG. Generally speaking, the best interior lineman on the team should be the RG, but some guys just can't play on the right side. If the 3 is on the left side, that changes things obviously, but that doesn't happen frequently.

My friend Peter made that exact same move.

But yeah, if I have offensive line questions, I'm coming to you over anyone else

Appreciate that

You mean like this year?? Letting KO walk and lose the most dominating sting offensive lineman in the NFL is a couple steps backwards. The last 2 games of the year the offensive line was clearly thGrubbsngest part of the ravens. At times the OLine dominated very talented and powerful DLines!! Urschel was adjusting to center and getting push the ravens never got before from the center. Jensen was stonewalling Tuitt!! A very strong defensive tackle that gave Yanda all he could handle and beat Yanda on multiple occasions including the only sack for Pittsburgh. Yanda was actually the weakest link for that game. Go watch it again. However it doesn't mean Yanda is not a great player. And as for the Ben Grubbs comparison and liking him better than Yanda. WRONG!! and WRONG!! Everybody here knows I like maulers on the OLine. And Yanda was a tough nasty mauler!! Grubbs generated movement from burst off the snap and athleticism. Grubbs is good but I liked Yanda far better!! And Grubbs was slightly overrated in my opinion. On a side note, at that time Carl Nicks was the most overpowering OLine player in the league. He was considered the most dominating OLine player since Larry Allen. And Nicks was more than athletic enough to play right tackle if necessary. It was incompetence that the saints let Nicks walk and signed Grubbs for $2mil less than Nicks costed. Yanda was always better than Grubbs!! More aggressive and stronger, intelligent and nearly as athletic. When ravens needed a right tackle it was Yanda harbaugh trusted to play.

However to compare losing KO to losing Grubbs is completely off the reservation!! KO is a different species altogether!! KO is the most overpowering offensive lineman in the league by far!! He was already a very strong and dominating player as a rookie!! Wilfork took himself out of the game several times to regroup from the Pummeling KO handed out!! Then as a rookie in the Superbowl KO mauled and dominated one of the toughest and most respected defensive line players in the league. Now KO is one of the hardest workers in the NFL. Look at his pics now as opposed to his rookie pics. He is far leaner and more muscular!! And a

more explosive aand athletic. Moves very smooth and sudden compared to his athleticism as a rookie!! Not that he was not athletic and fast for such a big player as a rookie but he is now a different and far better athlete. Not only leaner and more athletic but more powerful. And he is a better and more refined technician as well. Many 6'5 1\2 330 lb OLine players. But not many with a 6pak at 331lbs!! And 36" arms. Which means he has far more functional muscle than the rival OLine players!! Larry Allen played over 4 yrs as well before he got his recognition as the most overpowering OLine player in the league. Kelechi Osemele is getting his recognition next year as the most dominating OLine player. Like I said he is a leaner faster, more explosive and refined player and has pro bowl talent as a left tackle as well!! If ravens let him walk and he is a pro bowl caliber left tackle for guard money the ravens management is going to look incompetent!! KO will be the enforcer of the OLine next year and the best player. Yanda will be 32 and although a very good player he may not be as great and dominant after next year. Watch the pittsburg game. Jensen outplayed Yanda much less KO. Watch Yanda locking up with Tuitt then Jensen. Yanda struggled while Jensen stonewalled him. Jensen is a steal like Yanda. A 325lb deceptively athletic bull!! Oh and BTW Monroe was average at best!! Even when he played last couple yrs he struggled and even the media acknowledges it. Just because a player gets a big contract holds no water as for being a legit option!! Monroe is under 300lbs and seems to not care. Trusting him at left tackle is ludicrous!! The ravens offensive line would be shameful if management lets KO walk and counts on Monroe or some obscure rookie to play left tackle and the most dominating olineman in the NFL playing elsewhere. The ravens have the potential for the best OLine in the league. Letting KO walk and counting on Monroe leaves it a mediocre at best OLine!!

First it was Campanaro and now it's KO.  I really wish you would just add "in my opinion" to your comments.   I wish they were as dominant as you say they are, but you need to realize they're not in the elite category at their respective positions.  Maybe one day and hopefully as Ravens.  But until then you should temper your enthusiasm about both until the prove themselves worthy.

Don't you worry, the tandem will. Especially KO!!

Forgot to mention it was a well known fact that every patsies fan and media knew. Say what you want bout media but the media has access to far more info than what is placed on websites that could or could not be biased. Yanda is my favorite BTW but it is time to consider the new anchor. Like I said long ago Campanaro will be living on a football training island. And the patsies did not have an answer at right guard. Anybody played there needed help.

Is this the "training island" you speak of?

“I feel like if I can stay healthy, I can really make a big impact,” Campanaro said. “[i’ll spend] the entire offseason just training here at ‘The Castle,’ so I’m looking forward to it – looking to have a big offseason and come back ready to go.”

One thing I think unmentioned is how the new tradeable compensatory picks may affect NFL free agency. We've seen teams target players after June 1 before to avoid losing compensatory picks (e.g. Daryl Smith). The new tampering rule may also help us as well as hinder our ability to retain him. We'll have more time to see what other teams are offering.

We'll be able to see that next year when it actually takes affect.

That's exactly my point. 2017 is when this will take effect, which means 2016 free agency impacts those picks. Hence, an NFL team may choose to avoid signing free agents or it could potentially reduce contract sizes as a result.

I understand the default answer whenever you (generally speaking, not you specifically) see someone mention the recent addition of the ability to trade compensatory picks is to mention how it does not take place this year, which is true; however, notice that these 2016 free agents will count towards the 2017 Draft's compensatory selections, which thus includes KO among many others.

My bad and thanks for pointing out how it could affect free agency in 2016.  It's definitely a factor!
