KO at left tackle in 2016.

Osemele-Jensen-Zuttah-Yanda-Wagner

That lineup right there has some road graters! If only zutgah and Wagner were a tad bit stringer!

If Ravens cant get Tunsil or Stanley Better would be Osemele Jensen Urschel Yanda Wagner. Urschel is stronger and nastier than zuttah. Jensen played as good as Yanda Sunday. He is going to be a stud.

Contract is what typically dictates the comp pick round, not versatility or even performance that much.

Considering we are likely only going to get a 4th for McPhee, who projects to get a bigger contract than KO, I wouldn't bank on getting a 3rd for him. A 4th is more realistic.

yes, I do know what constitutes a comp pick, and yes I said a 3rd but it could be a 4th who know, definitely not me.

thank you for that informative response though,

I want to believe in urschel but he's been getting dealt with as a center. Swiss cheese while being sandwiched by two of the best guards in the game

Takes time to adjust at center. It will pay off to allow him. And Jensen looked really good at guard. He played better than Yanda on the plays I watched the Oline.

I'll still never understand the immense desire to move on from Zuttah.  He hasn't been a superstar or anything but I think he's been well above average, which I'll gladly take at C compared to what other teams are dealing with.

Agreed. Was probably one of our best lineman this season before getting injured. He's an upgrade over anyone on the roster currently at that position.

No indication I've seen that he won't be back as the starting center in 2016.

We wouldn't move KO to LT if we didn't expect to be able to sign him. He'll be here next year. Guarantee it. Wagner is probably gone next year though.

Doubtful. We're playing our best 5 lineman. Not the first time KO has played LT either.

Feels like an Ellerbe situation to me. We make an offer that's good for us. If he finds better, he leaves.

Still certainly under 50% chance he stays in my judgmemt.

Great points!! However I personally guarantee Jimmy will not go beastmode!! You have already seen his song and dance and ready for the next performer. He may be serviceable at best. I would almost prefer Terrance Cody go on a bean and water diet and play cornerback for the ravens!!

you can't guarantee that... But please allow us to bookmark it for future reference

Whatever turns you on dude.:) I suppose I did say a little much lol. But jernigan is athletic!! Perhaps he could go on a lettuce and water diet and play cornerback next yr.

Does anyone think wagner can play LT? If he can, and if Jensen continues to play lights out, then maybe we see a line up of wagner, urschel, zuttah, jensen, yanda? Only one person there hasn't been proven at their position and we know harbs likes to shuffle the ol

I agree. I can't see us getting rid of him. If anyone leaves it'll be Monroe. He can play LG and is worth keeping even as a reserve.

I'd sooner keep Jensen and Yanda where they are and put Urschel at RG instead.

not sure I'm following what you're saying. What would the line up be in that scenario?

I wasn't sure what I was saying either lol. I was saying...

Wagner | Jensen | Zuttah | Urschel | Yanda

I don't like this line though. I want to make that clear. I'm not fond of moving Wagner to LT and Yanda to RT. I think I'd sooner have Hurst at RT

I think Yanda can play left tackle. He should have stayed at right tackle and been the backup for left tackle but too late for that. I agree with you in this case. Wagner is young and could play LT for years to come. Yanda may only have a few more years and would fill in admirably @ RT.

ahh you basically meant to say swap the guards, I always get confused about who plays what side.

I don't like it either but it could work if wagner turns out solid, it prefer to keep hurst far away from anything even remotely close to a purple shirt..

So if the Vikings offer a first for him you'd turn them down?

Yeah, I agree. I just think that it would be better overall since Hurst is a decent run blocker but just bad in pass protection and with a right-handed QB it may be a better fit for him at least when he gets beat. I think that he's gone regardless, though, since I am confident we add an OL this year in the draft at some point.

Anyway, I think KO could very well return to the team. I wouldn't rule him out yet. LT will be a hole and if we do release Monroe it all but guarantees we will retain KO unless there's a LT we like better.

I don't think Yanda could play left tackle. He will be 32 I will be happy another elite year at guard!! Same for Wagner. Would be happy if he returns to top5 right tackle form!! Zuttah just plays to soft!! He gets zero movement and gets pushed a lot. He just manages to anchor just enough to seal. Once Urschel adjusts he will pay off. Urschel is strong nasty intelligent with a top flight work ethic. Jensen could play either guard position very well he is very strong and far more athletic than he looks. He moves around like a left tackle almost!! Jensen was a late round steal!! Golden props to whoever found him. He outplayed Yanda last Sunday in my opinion. His skill to pick up a charge and reset his anchor to stop a charge is special. He may not be quite as freakish as KO but is going to be a very respected guard. If KO plays left tackle or plays elsewhere. Then Jensen Urschel Yanda is a very strong trio!! As for Zuttah, in my opinion for a balanced and prolific offense to play to its potential then a dominating and nasty offensive line is necessary. So many prolific offense never hit its potential because of an average line. When a defense is worried about playmakers and being mauled up front the ravens could control the game!!

Well, apparently Juan Castillo privately worked him out before we brought him in for a visit, so maybe he did? He has a history of finding late-round OL talent.

The more I think about this, the more I convince myself that KO returns and is re-signed as our LT. I really think the team is genuine about liking him at LT. I see him replacing Monroe.

Its growing on me as a possibility, but I think a lot of things have to fall into place first.

I'm also starting to wonder if we don't see a massive swing in personnel changes. The more I think about it...how often do 5-6 win teams just keep most of their team intact?

Its questionable to me given that we'll have guys in 2017 we would love to keep, thats not even counting the guys we have to add soon.

Yeah I agree. I just think Ozzie will want to avoid a glaring hole possibly at LT going into the draft. I think it'll obviously mean the end of Eugene Monroe. We'll also cut guys at other positions, too, to compensate. Pitta may retire, which also frees up some money. It's not just the current money on the cap that'll affect our ability to re-sign KO but future cap allocation, which is why I think we can actually afford him.

I also don't see many tenders given to restricted agents. The only one I see is Aiken since it'll probably be cheaper but maybe we re-sign him long term. Trawick is an RFA but I think we'll be able to re-sign him for cheap since his main role is ST. That just leaves Marlon Brown, who's likely gone.

Brandon Williams and Rick Wagner? Kyle Juszczyk? Will Hill? Steve Smith won't be back because he'll be retired lol. Guy is another guy I guess. It's clear Brandon Williams will be the focus. It's also possible we can still bring back those guys.

lol there is many peeps that want Marlon Brown back.

I'll take him back if he wants to play CB or pass rusher or TE but that's clearly a joke.
