[News] John Harbaugh: 2016 Season Starts Now

Good moves. The time is now to see what depth they actually have. One would assume they'll go for needs in the draft(there are plenty) and not just best player available.

This is the best idea yet. Give the young bucks a chance to start earning their spot next year. I applaud this decision.

Been saying they should do this for the past 4 games. Better late than never but in all reality, it isn't really a decision Harbs had to make because everyone is on IR so he really has no choice than to start the young guys, they're all that's left but nice spin Harbs! :-)

I'm happy about this. Whatever the situation you're in, try and get the most out of it. For us, there are two "mosts" we can get out of being so depleted and officially out of the playoff race: the best possible draft position and treating the remaining games as a quasi pre-preseason. I'm happy that Harbaugh and the FO thinks the same way. BTW... if we're gonna make it a pre-season... couldn't we also take a look at our young QB? I don't think he would be an upgrade over Clausen at this point of his young career - but getting real NFL snaps might prove very useful down the stretch... Just like Tray Wlaker will very probably be torched - but this may halp him learn faster - and not be torched the next season... when it may matter, unlike this remaining 3 games.

Sry coach but the 2016 season started a long time ago...

I think the season for ous was effectivekly over after week #3 - but I guess they wanted to wat until it was mathematically over, before admitting it. Which is understood.

I think we have been playing a lot of youngsters on the D side of the ball, but i like the idea of playing Webb at FS, and getting Tray more reps outside...And yes call up the other CB's, they can't be any worse than Arrington and Wright....Heard rumors of a Mallet signing if that's the case get him in, i want to see his gun of a arm in action...Although i will say Clausen earned another start....:)

I'm not even mad anymore about the season, this just been the longest preseason in the history of the ravens. For awhile I was saying get rid of Harbaugh but I think he deserves another chance to redeem the team. But one more losing season and the gloves come off.

I hope, that with getting a look at new players, younger players, we can get a fresh take on our plays and play-calling. I'm not sure we're always putting our guys in the best possible positions, with our play-calling. In particular, we seem to run straight up the gut, every couple of downs and Sea. was jamming the box and packing it tight right before our snaps; they really took care of our run game and seemed to guess right too often, which is why weren't effective running the ball on Sunday.

Let's go Dolphins! If the Fish win, we get to keep our Sunday Night game, for whatever it's worth. I hope we get to play on Sunday Night, even though Pitt. will score a lot of points on us, most likely.

Honestly, I think this move is to keep as many veterans as possible from ending up on IR. Not really, but at this point we might be better off if it was. Stash veterans on the bench, and play the younger players. Keep the veterans from injuries that might impact their ability to contribute next year.

Has anyone noticed how most players don't look good on Dean Pees' defense? Just saying. This defense has not looked like a Ravens defense since he took over. Does Harbaugh believe in him or is Habaugh mostly interested in having continuity?

This will show how Good Coach Harbs really is...It's easy to win with stars like Lewis and Reed. Maybe it's time for him to forge our future.

It's about time you took my suggestion. I'm glad to hear your putting them in to succeed. Cause if you don't players often get hurt and we can ill afford to lose anymore players to major injuries. Good move Harbaugh and Ozzie. "We Be shopping for groceries and the store is about to open"%u2026%u2026%u2026%u2026LOL.

I don't like Pees bend but don't break style, but I don't think he has the talent he needs on the defense. missed tackles, dropped picks, inability to cover , lack of pass rush has do with lack of talent on the defense.

While he is evaluating young guys, I hope Harbs also looks at how they are coached. I hope he takes a real good look at how our secondary is coached.

I like what Harbaugh is saying. I think under the circumstances, the approach he outlined seems to me like putting the best foot forward. Also, there is a sense of calm about Harbaugh despite where we are. He is clearly a coach that adapts to situations brilliantly and makes the best of it. I still believe Harbaugh will take this season, glean what went wrong, make corrections and make us a far better team next year. And, his players by now realize the great person and coach that he is. They will fight for him the rest of the way.

You can't blame all the defensive mistakes on Pees. He is kind of limited by the personnel. However, it sure looks like the players out there just don't know their assignments and I know I have lost all confidence in the game plan. Is this the same for the players and their confidence in him OR are they just that lost?

John Harbaugh: 2016 Season Starts Now - Does this mean that we're now going to actually win some games now? Is Torrey and McPhee coming back? Is Jimmy Smith going to play like a number 1 CB now? Does that mean Perriman was finally seen? I'm going to nickname Perriman Bigfoot from now on because there's been very few sightings of him...

This is exactly what we should be doing. Actually, I think it could have started a bit sooner. I realize, though, that Harbaugh had to wait until we were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Realistically, though, we've been eliminated from the playoffs for a while now, just not mathematically. So, let's see who can do what and prioritize our many needs and problems.

Fans have to wonder, IS that past knee disease Permian had affecting this NEW knee injury? From what I read it goes away as you age. Just a thought...

Ozzie has Always been BPA in the draft, but if there EVER was a season that he should draft for needs it's this one. It is Imperative that we try to fill, at least, Some of our holes and weaknesses.
