Who are you and what do you do?

18 posts in this topic

So i have been on this forum for quite some time and i notice certain posters here and there, but dont really "know" anyone in a sense.  We all share a love for our own team and care enough about it to dedicate a decent amount of time to it each week.  Hell, this is what gets me through my nights at work for the most part.  So i thought it would be fun to just tell a little about yourself and who knows what kind of networking can come from it...or just a ray of different topics.  Kind of sounds dumb, but im pretty bored at work so this will keep me typing. Obviously if you dont feel comfortable stating certain things ie family stuff, job, etc...then dont.   Ill start:

From my screen name im sure most have guessed by now my name is Charles and i was in the Marines.  I did 5 years from 2007-2012 as a Aviations logistics specialist for F18s, pretty interesting stuff.  A great 5 years of my life spent in lovely San Diego.

I was actually born in Jersey and grew up most my life in Northern Arkansas, my connection to the Ravens is my father is from Baltimore.

Ive built numerous race cars (i know i dont post in the car thread), mainly eagle talons and also have built numerous  bikes, R1s and R6s, im a yamaha guy.

Right now im still trying to find my path for a career,  but currently, im actually back in San Diego doing what i did in the Marines just a contractor.  Currently looking at schools, im just all over the place on what i want to do.  Three things that stand out to me:  Economics, real estate, cinema.

like i said, pretty bored late at work...if this doesnt catch on, no harm no foul.

I won't share too many details about my private life, but I'm involved with an independent pro wrestling promotion. On-screen, I'm currently a broadcaster but my full job title is Backstage Producer and Director. My job is to coach the talent on their interviews and help develop their characters. I also pitch story ideas and will give feedback between shows. Additionally, I record voiceovers for all of our video packages and I occasionally participate in storylines.

It's not my full-time day job, but it's my passion and defines much of who I am outside of Ravens football.

I never got a chance to read Bischoff's book but I'd heard it was great. He's still got wrestling knowledge to offer, he's just better-served as a consultant or sounding board these days than an actual booker. He's nowhere near as out-of-touch as Jim Cornette or Vince Russo.

Russo was just terrible. I definitely recommend reading bischoff's when you can.

Been here in Maryland pretty much all my life.  I was born in Okinawa, my father was in the Air Force.  We came to Maryland when I was a year old.

I am very happily married to an amazing woman.  My daughter is 14, and the only other love of my life.

I am an automotive collision repair technician.  I have been with the same company for over 25 years.

I collect vintage milk bottles.

I wonder if im about the only person that's never really lived on bmore. I lived there from the age 1-3 so I don't really count it. Never been back as an adult. Would love to go back and have a beer some some blue crab in the harbor, or is it bay? My gf wants to take me there for a home game next year for my bday
