[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Seahawks

91 posts in this topic

Why the hell will they not just give Renner a chance to show his abilities for the remainder of the season? What on EARTH do we have to lose now? Clausen and Schaub are horrendous and we need somebody half decent to backup Flacco next season.

The defense looked defeated... they weren't fighting through blocks and had way to many miss tackles... the Seahawks were on-schedule for most of the game... and ran the same third down play to Baldwin like four or five times.. but its hard to defend third and four... third and two all game... corners gave their wideouts way to much respect... Lockette is the only one with break away speed... smh

We definitely need a change, and I think it starts at the top, right below Bisciotti and Cass... No one was going to pay Monroe that kind of money, except for us... I've been saying we have so many holes on this team- we really need to rebuild, and we don't make the playoffs for at least another couple of years...

Biggest lost all season, but hell, that's why I support the Ravens - we knew going in the game, that with the roster filled up by backups and by WRs who's names I can no longer memorize before they're out again that we weren't there talent-wise, but the guys played their hearts out. Hawks played better, but Ravens haven't played halfassed, even when the score ran away. That's why I will watch every game till the end, even if we lose out. Kamar Aiken made some tough catches as well as 83 and 84. And the hair tackle was the highlight of the game for me :D THAT's how you don't get pick-sixes on INTs - when guys have enough presence of mind to hold onto the guy with the ball, no matter what. Ugly loss, but tremendous effort. PS: Did anyone else notice Jimmy Clausen looks a little like Jim Harbaugh in the face? Including the expressions. I had to laugh last week when I saw them side by side talking ;)

Although I was really hoping that Renner would have played at least some of the game. I have to admit that Clausen exceeded my expectations. Granted, my expectations of Clausen were pretty low but he was able to make some decent throws and spread the ball nicely to Aiken, D Brown and Butler better than I thought he would. I am still a big fan of Renner but it is clear that Clausen did well enough against a great defense to earn more snaps. Just hope we get to see a bit of Renner as well.

No one really expected this game to be close, did they? The Seahawks are red-hot right now, a complete team, and our team is on life support. Once again, there were bad calls, but the fact is, we are a pale facsimile to the team I've been watching the last five years. Very sad.

Who is the leader of this team? When Ray Lewis left, he said that the team would need leadership, and everyone on the Ravens team went crazy saying that we had plenty of leaders. I feel if we had strong leaders, then we wouldn't have gotten blown out - this loss was at our house and was pretty painful to watch. I hate to admit it, but there are no star players, play-makers on this team- it's like a team full of practice squad players with very few players that people actually know (outside of the line/ kicker).

Where to begin? Here are my 5 thoughts, which are much better than his.

This same guy was writing last week about how much "improved" the Ravens defense was. HA HA HA! Now he doesn't say a word about it. I blasted him last week, saying the only reason the Ravens defense has "improved" is because of the lousy quarterbacks they have been up against. Tell the truth and people are more likely to believe you instead of writing crap that isn't true.

Monroe stinks. Osemele proved he could play LT today. Sign him or franchise him for next year. He is a good tough guy who does a better job than Monroe.

Nothing against Clausen but the young guy should start. The Ravens need to figure out if he is long term or not. Neither Clausen nor Schab is.

The refs again were calling namby pamby fouls. That ridiculous personal foul against Webb wasn't worthy of a Pee Wee League call. Just outrageous.

Harbaugh and his coaches should all be fired. Newsome too. Some of you may drink the Oz Kool Aid but not me. He has blown enough high draft picks in the past 3 years that this team is short on talent and cannot compete. He was once a master of the draft, but more recent failures prove he is no more. Elam, Perriman, Kindle, Cody, Jah Reid, Upshaw, Dickson all mediocre at best and awful at worst. Even Mosely, whom I like, but not as a number one pick. He can't cover.

No leadership on this team, on offense or defense. Harbaugh got rid of any strong personalities that would sure look a heck of a lot better out there than what we see. Just a bunch of guys playing as individuals. No cohesion, especially on defense. Russell Wilson could have set a table and had lunch in his backfield for all the pressure the Ravens brought.

Lets make this simple.....everything broke down on defense....Offense was decent, ST was solid as usual.....

like i said before dean pees a D. Coordinator since 2012-present... 4 years and no head coaching considerations... chuck pagano D. coordinator 2011-2012 head coach in less than a year

we won the super bowl in 2012 Dean pees never became a head coach...the proof is there

gary kubiak O. Coordinator for ravens 2014-2015 head coach in less than a year

Just a terrible, terrible season. Can't wait till the final whistle blows at the end of the Super Bowl and I can officially move on to the 2016 season.

One thought why was Butler not on the original 53 man roster, he seem to be doing a fine job a lot better than that kid Campanaro that's long gone. Another poor decision by coach H. I think Camp was maybe a coach favorite.

I agree with most of this especially starting Renner.......clausen is a dead end street...I'd like to see someone in the organization hire Reed or Lewis as a coach............

I just stopped watching, awful, awful. But hey what can you expect when you put the local high school JV on the field. WHO ARE THESE GUYS?? I'm gong to skip out till next year. I am a Ravens fan but; this is not the Ravens.

Endless mind numbing commercials, bad and or fraudulent officiating, stupid dribble coming out of the mouths of these horrible commentators and just plain bad football. Three, three and a half hours of nothing of interest. There is no point, just endless irritation and boredom.

1. Addition by Subtraction. Time for Webb and Monroe to go. Both are expensive and do not make the team better. Add (A. Brown, M Brown, Canty, Asa Jackson) to that list

2. Time to address needs aggressively in the offseason. Get a veteran LT and WR. Ravens have talented young guys on offense, but a couple of vets at key positions on offense would help.

3. Be aggressive on draft day. OZ has been patient in the first round the last few drafts. If you see a premier prospect that can rush the passer, Top tier LT, or talented DB, go get them. A safety and pass rusher would do the defense wonders.

4. Leadership: Team seems to lack fire. Seahawks pushed them around all game and no one gets pissed. They look like guys waiting for a participation trophy and another %u201Cwe play hard speech%u201D from Harbs. Winners don%u2019t except losing. Maybe add a veteran on defense for leadership or hire a former Ravens player as position coach. Lack of preparation and intensity is disturbing

5. Poor coordination: Much Like Cameron, Trestman is a former head coach that cares more about building a resume than doing the simple things to win the game. Every week they pass the ball 40 times (close game, 3rd string QB, late 4th quarter lead.) That has never been a consistent winning formula for the Ravens. This season has been like one long preseason waiting for Ravens to establish some consistency doing anything. Coaches need to be held accountable.

KO gave us the best performance we've had from the LT position all season long. I know he'll cost us, but if he plays as well these last three games we have as he did today, I'd like to see him stay a Raven. I've been calling for us to slide him out there for quite a while now. I'm glad Harbs Finally did it.

Anyone else think Jimmy Smith would make a better safety than corner? He has also shown that he is not a shutdown corner, even against mediocre receivers.

we loss to a team with a winning record, no surprise there. We were no competition after the half when they figured out we had no bite. Harbaugh shouldn't be surprised. He said it's the worst we played all year...I disagree. It was consistent with the way we've played all year...no offense, no defense, blowing opportunities, unable to score in the red zone, blowing coverage (Webby), etc. I didn't hear Jimmy Smith's name once all day. The offensive bright spots are: Kamar Aiken, Jeremy Butler, Daniel Brown, Buck Allen (even though he fumbled today), Crocket Gilmore, Max Wms, Juice, and Chris Givens. Did I miss anyone?

I know that he didn't get both feet down... but that was a sick one-handed grab J. Butler made on the sideline... I like what I am seeing from this young guy as a possession WR.. D Brown appears to be a little hungrier than Marlon... he running the same routes that Marlon has been but D. Brown seems to be making the most of it... And Jimmy was actually the best corner we had today... Webbie... Arrington... and Wright were actually getting cooked this game...Jimmy got beat underneath... not over the top like the others did today...

Just wondered how come the officials see EVERYTHING we do but constantly miss what our opponents

do. This is the third straight game where they missed a face mask. I know the stripes are not that

good but when it is blatant they should throw the flag.
