[News] 5 Things To Watch vs. Seahawks

36 posts in this topic

I'm just gonna watch the "HEART" coming out my squad! Some fans have given up on the Ravens and these are the ones that know what it really means to be a Raven! These QBs we have now are "RAVENS" and that will step their game up BIG TIME! Time for Jimmy to get some payback on them hawks! LETS GO!

Whoever is playing QB tomorrow had better eat his Wheaties. Actually, all 3 of our QB's better wear extra padding because I can see them dropping like flies with only 2 guys on our O line worth a darn. Gonna be a long road to haul to be a QB for the Ravens for the rest of the year!

The main thing I will be watching for is if the Ravens will use an opt out "Clause"n at QB. I didn't think Schaub would play this week after seeing him dizzied from the one hit which looked like he got a concussion and then for sure on the last hit he took in which he grabbed his collarbone area. I'd be shocked if I didn't hear he broke it. I think he was really trying to make an effort to play through the pain and I give Schaub a lot of credit for that. At this point though, what's the point of playing him? Our post season chances are slim to none at best, Schaub is showing he's what he was the last couple of seasons, and he's got no future here in Baltimore. Play Clausen and/or Rynner, take the high draft pick, and come back next year strong.

The Ravens will be the Phoenix next year. Rising strong and better than ever from the burnt out ashes of 2015. Nowhere to go but up. I am confident in this front office that they will get the key players in the draft and in free agency and with that and the return of our starting lineup all healthy again to be one of the best teams in the NFL sooner rather than later.

This is why I am proud to be a Ravens fan. This team rarely stays down for long.

The scouting department, ozzie and eric have to be held accountable for the past five years of bad drafts / free agent (*picking up cut players from other teams) signings - Do I need to mention Elam, Kindle, Perriman, and A Brown, etc... There are waaaayy too many holes on this team and who would've thought that we'd have Clausen as a back-up? S M H

I also blame Harbs for having a man crush on Steve Smith Sr. We should've saved that money and tried to keep Torrey- what are we doing with a 37 year old receiver and a bunch of nobodies filling in at WR as well -- and Ozzie should've never expected Perriman to be able to replace Torrey- he really took a big gamble by not really addressing CB/ WR this year-

Scot G. McCloughan <- this guy is the real deal and could be a great replacement. Look at his first draft - it's been really productive in all rounds and he's turning Washington into a contender again... I'm sure he'd want to come to the Ravens as well because of how Snyder runs things in DC.

If Hurst and Wesley start then I hope Sam Koch is ready. Although they activated Renner, Bennett and Avril could have a three sack day apiece and we could go through Clausen, Renner, Schaub and get into Koch before the game is over. If I was Clausen I would have to seriously think that this chance isn't going to be worth the physical beating he will get today. I kind of feel sorry for him. imagine if we signed Mallett with his reputation of not showing up. If we had Mallett, he is liable to leave the offense stranded at the alter come game time while he is on a plane to Burmuda or somewhere.

I don't think this game will be much fun to watch for Ravens fans. And, unless you have an all access package, there is no other game to watch at 1:00 pm. Hopefully, the Seahawks will be overconfident and play uninspired football.

It never ceases to amaze me that every post you make ... no matter the topic of the thread, has only one theme: Our GM is incompetent, senile or both and needs to be replaced (by someone from another organization) immediately.

I think you should create a thread called "Ozzie Needs to Go" and we moderators can move every post you make to that thread to keep you from cluttering every other thread with the only theme you seem capable of commenting on.

seriously, he chose Scherff over Leonard Williams.  Yes Scherff will be a good guard, but you can get a right guard anywhere in the draft.   The WR's they picked late were awful.  They had a decent draft, but feel ours was better than theirs.

DERRICK HENRY ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE, 6-foot-3 240 pounds!. First RB to win Heisman trophy since 2009! We should def look to sign him first round if possible.

a running back in the first round would be an absolute no no and extremely unwise. Won't happen. And sorry to sound rude but how do either of these things relate to today's game against Seattle?

Bro look at Derrick Henry, Alabama Crimson Tide Heisman winning RB this year. 6-foot-3 240 pounds! We definitely NEED to get him!! Talk about getting the best available player on the board.

He won't be anywhere near the BPA when we pick.

it's an opinion that has insight behind it. Only way we draft a Rb is if a guy like Henry or Elliot falls to the 2nd, and even then it's pretty unlikely. Edited by January J

Back on topic.

5 things I'm watching today.

1) Buck Allen. Can he do enough? Bc in my eyes the only way we win is if we get a big day from him. Would help if west does well too.

2) clausen- can he limit the mistakes and manage the game? He doesn't have to do it all- just needs to play better than schaub.

3) will our defense keep up the good work? They have quietly been playing much better. Discipline and execution is key.

4) will tucker be able to hit from 50+ ? This defense isn't going to give us much, so a big day from tucker may be necessary. If he continues to miss then I think that will confirm he's in a slump and doesn't deserve to be the highest paid,

5) clock management and referees. This has been an issue that has plagued us throughout the season and even over the last few years. To beat a team like Seattle we will need to work the clock and use our timeouts and challenges wisely. With the way the officials have been performing lately we will need those challenges and we will need to be disciplined.

I WISH I could watch the game. Looks like another game that I find out is blacked out here in PA, 4 seconds before kickoff! This is ridiculous. Armstrong Cable and FOX have just lost a customer. I can't afford to attend all the games and I'm not interested in any other team but the Ravens so spending hundreds of dollars on a football package is just not cost effective so it looks like I don't get to spend my Sundays rooting for my team any more. 3 decades of loyalty, down the drain.

The all might dollar prevails again! SMH

Aiken is outperforming Torrey right now. And Steve smith was worth every penny and more. One of the few on this team that's actually got heart

That an arguable statement. For the majority of the season thus far, torrey was on a team with a QB (Kap) that could hardly throw an accurate pass. Plus there are other weapons outside of Torrey that get passes.

Aiken has had the fortune of being on a team where he is...unfortunately...our best and most targeted WR.
