[News] Ravens Place LT Eugene Monroe On Injured Reserve, Promote QB Bryn Renner, WR Chris Matthews

Oline will do fine. We need to use 5 wide and that will open up run game. Use the tight ends we have left as blockers. Our D needs to play lights out. We will be just fine

I'm not so sure our "5 wide" would scare anyone into deep double coverage :-)

I believe if we put 5 wides (givens matthews brown aiken butler) and let it rip. Be careful with the football no turnovers and run the ball with buck and west. Go Ravens!

I would have never hired Mat Schaub, just because he has experience, but his experience comes from throwing interceptions, he's been fired from all the teams he's been on and we picked him up. That tells me somebody didn't know what they were doing nor does that person have a clue. We need to pay people for what they are worth and Mat Schaub is not worth anything and he has proven that. we let Tarrod Taylor go and now he's blowing up as the Buffalo Bill's QB. Seems like Ozzie and John has lost their touch in recruiting players who can actually stay on the field and play. I hope folks can learn from mistakes that were made and not be hardheaded and make the same mistakes over again!!! I'm just saying!!!

Let the veterans rest the rest of the way . Let them heal from now until next season. The Ravens season is long over so let the rookies and healthy 2nd stringers finish up so the coaches can see what talent they may have for next season. Now is the time to give the first stringers that are injured and tired an early Christmas present by letting them rest. This is the perfect time to truly test the pratice squd plyers and see what they have

I hope that Renner gets the chance to play enough to show that he could be a viable #2 backup to Flacco. What we have been getting from the waiver wire is nothing more than a Band-Aid fix if that. To me this season has ended at 12 games. The next 4 games mean nothing unless we lose each one and then wind up with a top 5 pick in the draft. Somehow we will probably blow that chance too.

No doubt that Monroe's injury is legit, however, when Harbaugh left it up to him, his agent, and his doctor, to try to play, that was his out. We need a franchise LT. The dead money upon his release will be an issue.

I understand everyone's frustration with Monroe, but before he came here, he only missed like 3 games in four years with the jags. It was only until he got here that he became snake-bitten. When he did play(which was not much) he did well......better than Hurst. You still cannot really knock Hurst, since he was pushed into that position not being ready for it. Hopefully he will only get better in the future.

Have you considered the logical possibility that we may dislike Monroe because we believe he is a mercenary? Let me speak for myself here: I believe Monroe gutted out games when he wasn't 100% back when he was on his rookie contract with the Jags and the first season with the Ravens; he got paid by the Ravens and now he is ready to retire with the guaranteed portion of that contract. If he sustains carpet burn from the turf he gets off the field and misses the next 3 to 4 games. No, I don't want him on my team.
