[News] Eisenberg: If Ravens Pull Off Seahawks Upset, Defense Must Lead The Way

13 posts in this topic

i want to see how they perform against 4 quality offenses before i give them their kudos. hope they hang in there. the offense will have to give them time to breathe with some time consuming drives or they will be gassed in the 2nd half of every game

O baloney. They haven't improved. They have played against sand lot quarterbacks. Lets see how they do against the quality quarterbacks they will face over the next four weeks. My guess is that we will be 0-4 and give up a boatload of points in the process.

You can write the positive changes but this is not even close to the team that truly bent but didn't break. When the Ravens were up by less than a TD and the offense gave up the ball late in the fourth you knew Haloti, Ed, Ray and Suggs along with efforts by McPhee were going to hold them. They'd end up in the red zone and u still knew they'd hold off a TD. The offense never had to put up big numbers. Joe had to keep them in the game until the defense got a turn over. That was Ravens ball. Maybe that's why the team never really bothered to get Joe the complementary receives and play makers they needed other than their running game to control the clock. They had a great chemical formula. I think they tried to continue that with their picks following the SB. Now I don't know what the Ravens identity is.

Defense will do its usual one two but the Offense gotta come in and take advantage and not waste three and outs when the Defense provides them! Run on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punt will not be the way to go gotta attack attack attack! Defense will represent to the fullest! LETS GO! I want a dance outta Harbs after the Ravens pull this out! "DAB"

So... this game is gonna be a nightmare for the offense. Love that we've been able to keep it together as a team this season, but I just have no faith in Schaub's ability to lead a deficient receiving core over a team like Seattle. I don't know if I'm any more excited about the prospect of Clausen playing, but Schaub just doesn't put our team in position to win games so I am ready to see what someone else can do. To be honest, I'm hoping to see Bryn Renner get some snaps in the last few games.

The defense, no matter how good, is not going to be able to pressure Seattle as much and as long as they'd like to think. If our offense doesn't sustain some drives, our D will be gassed by the end of the 1st qtr. Just hope we're able to run the ball on these guys and that would take a lot of pressure off.

We played some good defense vs bad teams. Now to play some good defense vs a good team. Is it going to happen? I'll settle for the 5th pick (could have been first) in next year's draft. Get a big LT or CB would top beating these guys for nothing. It is for nothing from here on out other than the draft.

^ When I see this pic...this defense doesn't even "look" like the defense we're use to...cause it's not of course!  But I mean, there is no Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs or Haloti Ngata in the shot.  No superstars and household names on the field perse!  These guys (present Ravens) are left to find their own way in this league and they've struggled to do so but hopefully they can have a strong showing tomorrow.

Go Ravens!

Mr. Eisenburg you are thinking the same thing I am thinking. Hold the score down and we have a chance. It's tucker time. He needs to get back to how he made long field goals last year.
