Next year looking very bright

I agree. Especially It being a divisional game, and even more so Bc of how demoralizing it was coming after a win in Pittsburgh that we thought may have been the turning point. Suggs was the knockdown and then SSS was the kill shot. That damn barnidge butt catch was a dagger in the throat.

Yeah, but we got away with an offsides callat the end of the MNF Cle game. If that goes into OT we lose.

After a 35-6 beat down today, there isn't much optimism here. Our defense totally blows.

Because of our salary cap issues it's going to be a long time before we can become relevant again. I can tell you one thing for sure. We will not get there with Ozzie Newsome and the current coaching staff. A major overhaul will happen sooner or later.

How long though? That is the question.

All we need is a LT, LG, pass rusher, WR and a corner. We COULD theroretically get those in a single offseason. How good this team is at draftting will be the question. Resigning KO will be a BIG plus.

At least a couple years. Certainly not next year. In some ways we are going to have to start from scratch. Let's just say it-we are a team that is re-building and that takes a long time.

Certainly not as long as most. We have a lot of capable players to serve as the building block.

that doesn't really have anything to do with Suggs or SSS getting injured. Or yes actually it does. Further proves our point that they are desperately needed.

We spend to the cap every year. Ozzie and harbs have won more games since 2008 then anybody in the NFL if I'm not mistaken. One losing season doesn't warrant a major overhaul. That would be the perfect recipe to become the Browns. In fact some would argue that the lack of continuity with the o coordinator is a major issue. With that being said I think peas should go but I wouldn't be surprised if we kept him for the exact reason I stated. We are not rebuilding. Smart people dont panic in times of hardship. One losing season and let's fire everybody including the best gm in the NFL. Lol ravens fans are so spoiled. Edited by Moderator 3

We should finish up 4-12, will that be the Raven's worst record ever?  I'm not certain.

Currently we are fighting with the Browns, Titans and Chargers for the number 1 pick.  We beat the Chargers so that could work against us.

It's not just the good draft position for the 1st round........its every round and dang do we need it.

The Seahawks proved This Draft is probably as important as 1996.

i remember telling everyone that even though mosely was getting hyped end of the year he wasnt the same class of player as mack and donald.

sometimes i should ignore the homerism.

Agreed on Campy. He's a perfect complement to Perriman, assuming they both develop as expected. In fact, a pretty imposing duo if they ever fulfill their potential

You mean like getting on and then staying on the field?

I barely saw Mack, but thought Donald was a different monster.

And we should've drafted Rogders instead of Clayton.  Hindsight's a funny thing.

you do realize we won the Cleveland game right? If we won the Jacksonville game we'd be going into Miami at 5-6. Still a shot at getting back to .500 and right in the mix for the wildcard hunt with Kansas City and Pittsburgh coming up so I def hear you.

Edit: just realized you were referring to the first Cleveland game. Got confused since the latest Cleveland and Jacksonville games were after Steves torn Achilles but then remembered he was out of the first Cleveland game due to the microfractures. Lol my bad!

He's talking about the first Cleveland game at home.  Not the away game with the kick (scoop) six.

Pretty sure we should manage to get 6 - 8 games from them next year. Combined.

Yeah. It's a game literally everyone is good at.

No CJ isn't on the same level, but damn I'm happy with him.

271 days, or 8 months and 21 days until week 1. Basically 3/4 of a year. By this point, I expect us to have progressed a lot. Flacco back, I think Steve comes back, Forsett back, Suggs back, Perriman back. I expect us to be healthy, more comfortable with Trestmans offense (I think he stays), and full of weapons. I just hope our Defense is better.

And there is a reason why Mack was a top 5 pick and Mosely wasnt...pretty obvious we would have taken Mack if it was possible, it wasnt.  I dont understand how people bring up scenarios that literally have no relevance.

Trestman is for sure back, you dont get rid of a guy after his first year when the entire offense has been injured.  I like what hes been able to do with lack of playmakers.

Man, it cant get here soon enough

He was not saying we shoulda coulda drafted Mack. He was saying the homers were being impartial homers by saying Mosley was better than Mack and Donald. That is ludicrous. Even if Mosley progressed as opposed to regressed he never would have the roof of tazmanian devils Mack and Donald. However once ravens find another ilb that can run I do expect Mosley to return to elite ilb status with a little more splash factor than he has shown. But definitely no Kalil Mack!! Which BTW is why a top5 pick beats top10. Anthony Barr is an impact player BUT definitely no Mack!! Funny I was texting my uncle about losing out and picking top2. He said I was rediculous. I used the Mack,Barr scenario and Mack gets 5 sacks today.lol!! BTW slightly off topic what the hell is going on with Carl Davis?? He showed some promise!! Is it a playbook thing??

I've yet to see a single person on the forum or otherwise say CJ is better than Mack or Donald.

I've learned to tune out a lot of Winchester's ramblings, but to be fair there were a fair few people in the DRoY thread last year in particular saying CJ deserved it over both of them.

Last year during Roy race many were saying it. And I would trade every player the ravens got in 2014 draft for Kalil Mack!!
