Next year looking very bright

At least there are 4 guaranteed wins against the NFC Least

Every NFCEast team is looking at their schedule saying the exact same thing as you are.

Yeah not only will we be getting a top 5 pick but we also will be playing the rest of the third place teams. Shame the Browns won't go on a late season run. The last place schedule and a top 3 pick would have us licking our chops.

I remember thinking at the end of last year that our future looked bright for the 2015 season.  That didn't pan out so well.

Nobody could've predicted the number of injuries we've had this year

Some of you seem to forget how bad we were, at the beginning of the year, when injuries were not a problem at all. I mean who did we lose? Suggs and that's it. I believe we were already 1-3 1-4 before injuries truly started piling up.

We were a competitive but bad team before injuries.

For sure, and we suffered terrible last year as well.  That's exactly why I refuse to ever think the future is bright ever again  :D

That's the WR/TE scenario you'd hope to see on the field?

Think it would be fair to see them in a better circumstance then what was given this year. Injuries to WR and no OLine can make alot of people look bad. daniel brown would have his 1st TD if not for bad officiating and Waller has a ton of potential, I dont think anyone would have issues with Gilmore in the redzone and Williams is a rookie, he will be better by next season.

Totally reasonable for a millionaire to do that over headphones.

It's more about respect, OBJ gave those headphones to the entire team and Cullen took 3-4 for himself. That was a jerk move by Jenkins. Stop attaching the contract to every situation.

Givens,Brown,Waller,Aiken and Butler GOOD young talents?? There is nothing to suggest any could be counted on to be starting WRs!!

I wish I could disagree with you. But none of them have actually proven anything of note yet.

On that note, I do have hope for Givens; I really think he just needs to be thrown to the wolves, and let him grow. There's a lot of talent we can tap into there. Aiken, I don't think he has a very high ceiling, but I do think he could become a fringe #2 guy.

Haha, I've been on record that im a huge supporter of Joe, Harbaugh, and Oz....just funny how people complain about missing on draft picks but wont bring up other great moves...

I dont!! Only when the pathetic bonehead moves FAR outweigh the good. But homers only see the good. The ravens could have a losing season next year and homers will be stoutly defending Ozzie. But I guess all the homers will show me when Suggs returns to anchor the defense and Jimmy plays to shutdown specs. And Pitta returns and somebody picks Rice up to prove he would have played well through his whole rediculous contract. And Monroe makes the probowl. Did I miss anybody?? Who is not currently playing up to the contract Ozzie handed out. List is getting long to keep up with.

I believe we started the year with an early game 1 injury to Suggs and Perriman wasn't playing. Can't remember when KO was injured plus Jimmy Smith and Wagner are still healing from Lisfranc injuries.

We were a competitive but bad team before injuries.

It is not like I want'em to be scrubs. I really really like Campanaro if he could just stay in the lineup!! I do not think even many homers realize how great he can get if he could stay in the lineup and practice a complete season.

1st. I didn't attach contract value I attached net worth.

2nd. I don't care if he's worth a nickel it's a stupid and immature thing to do. Act like a professional.

3rd. There's no respect involved from my view. It's shameful all around.

4th. It doesn't matter what kind of move it was on Cullen's part, handle it better, it's not worth losing your job.

If Pees comes back expect another mediocre year. Doesnt matter who they draft or pick up in FA. That being said, the upgrade to the waterboy to be the DB Coach and a DC that is even slightly competant would ream serious regards immediatly.

Giving Oz and Co a top 5 pick in the rounds, jeez its almost unfair. He'll get us the playmakers needed. Add in a decent FA signing or 2, along with keeping a handfull of the guys we need to keep. And yes, next year could be pretty bright. Esp with that schedule were looking at. Last time our furthest road trip was the Miss, we went 12-4. Keep that in mind.

Agreed on Campy. He's a perfect complement to Perriman, assuming they both develop as expected. In fact, a pretty imposing duo if they ever fulfill their potential

I would prefer Campanaro be a compliment to Boyd,Doctson or Mike Thomas.lol, Not a big fan of pro day Perriman!! He did not play to that 40 time. Not even close!! He played lower level competition and his dad played in the NFL yet he is a very raw route runner which means he does not have the savvy to be a good route runner. And his injury is probably more knee problems and being fragile than a football Injury.

As for Campanaro he is Edelman with more deep speed and far more ball skills and athleticism to adjust to errant throws. Edelman is not very natural at that part of the game. Of all ravens injuries Campanaro hurt ravens most next to Joe Cool. He was really heating up in Trestmans offense.

You know, I haven't thought about this much but the loss of Steve Smith Sr. really hurt this team. I mean, look at the Cleveland and Jacksonville games. If we had Steve for both of those games we would have probably won them. Look at the production our WRs gave in the 2nd half of those games, it was awful, we also lost those games by a FG, if we had Steve there for both, I think we would have won em'. If we do, we're talking about a 6-5 record. Lets say we have both Steve and Joe healthy, going to Miami at 6-5, we have both of them there and we win it to and we have a 7-5 record. Incredible. We keep our SNF game vs Seattle and its all game from there.

You could say I'm reaching but its what I believe.

you do realize we won the Cleveland game right? If we won the Jacksonville game we'd be going into Miami at 5-6. Still a shot at getting back to .500 and right in the mix for the wildcard hunt with Kansas City and Pittsburgh coming up so I def hear you.

Edit: just realized you were referring to the first Cleveland game. Got confused since the latest Cleveland and Jacksonville games were after Steves torn Achilles but then remembered he was out of the first Cleveland game due to the microfractures. Lol my bad!

Yeah I refering to the first Cleveland game. I think that loss killed us. When you think about about it, you have to think just what if Lawrence Timmons never delivered that hit on Steve and what if he never ruptered that Achilies tendon. You can argue losig him was just as big as losing Suggs.

I agree. Especially It being a divisional game, and even more so Bc of how demoralizing it was coming after a win in Pittsburgh that we thought may have been the turning point. Suggs was the knockdown and then SSS was the kill shot. That damn barnidge butt catch was a dagger in the throat. Edited by January J

Losing Steve Smith Sr. for those two games really really REALLY killed us. Man, we have to be the most unluckiest team this season.

Yeah and wed have a horrible team getting a mid round pick by still missing the playoffs. No this is exactly what this team needed. Eating a bunch of crow, dumping our dead weight including coaches and moving forward. One offseason might not be enough. I can see next year being a let down also, problem is we have a easy easy schedule. But this team really needs 2 years to get back to champ status for years to come.

We're a replacement team right now, did we expect anything else? This doesn't change the outlook of next year ...

After this game I'm doubting this. We're a REALLY bad football team.

Because of our salary cap issues it's going to be a long time before we can become relevant again. I can tell you one thing for sure. We will not get there with Ozzie Newsome and the current coaching staff. A major overhaul will happen sooner or later.
