Boyle suspended 4 games for PEDs

94 posts in this topic

Will people just stop!! Many players in the NFL are juicing!! He is just a rookie and got caught. It is a competitive league. Look at facts. QBs are throwing with more velocity at near 40 than at 24. Does anybody think that is natural?? Look at the difference in size of players today compared to years ago!! If fans really believe peds are not a huge staple of the NFL then fans need to get their mind outa the mustard!! The rookie just needs to be more careful and not get caught. Where do you think Antonio Gates resurgence came from?? And Mathis!! Players either use them early to make nfl or later in careers to extend good play. Aderall is just a cover.

So, is the morale of the story its OK to cheat; just don't get caught? That's as bad as saying to your mother, "Oh Ma, everybody does it!" Stupid is as stupid does and getting suspended for four games when you have an opportunity of a lifetime handed to you is just plain stupid!!!! Knock it off, Nick!

You really do not believe juicing is not almost a standard to compete in the nfl?? You obviously are just an in the dark fan who knows nothing!! Boyle and many others may not even be NFL caliber without peds!! Just out of curiosity, what % of players in the NFL do you suppose used peds at some point??

It's laughable at this point.  Theres only 4 weeks left, but by 2015 Ravens standards, that's like 10 more injuries, 15 blown calls, 4 more Tucker 50 yard + misses,  and probably a contagious virus that reaches the whole team.

Then they start biting.

Obviously I don't know what he took. But if my memory is right some of the banned things are found in places like GNC right on the shelf and I honestly don't understand how over the counter supplements that a prescription is not needed can be banned. Like I said if my memory is correct.

Maybe GNC has pills to help your memory.

;):P

This Ravens' season has gone straight to hell.... :melt:

Clearly the spiteful Brady and malevolent Belicheat have conspired and consorted with dark and fell forces to cast a most Blackest Curse :268213: upon our beloved Ravens.

AND you obviously can't read or something...... I'm not saying he didn't use a PED. I'm saying he's stupid if he did given the golden opportunity that was gift-wrapped and laid in his lap. He probably did something like what Chris Davis did or what Haloti Ngata did but whatever he took it was stupid and selfish. What they did was stupid too and wound up hurting their respective teams. As for your question about what % of players in the Niffle take unauthorized drugs, I have no idea but its probably about the same as the % of referees who use them. It seems like some of the refs run faster than some of our defenders. BTW, the use of PEDs is not a new phenomenon. Some NFL players have even become addicted to painkillers, Mr. Enlightened Fan!! The good news is that this will probably not cost us a Super Bowl.

Given a golden opportunity huh?? Has it ever occurred to you he may have been using peds for quite some time?? And he like MANY other players may not of ever been NFL caliber if not for peds!!

Cool, so they are bigger. What does that have to do with being a good football player?

You do realize that probably at least half of NFL players would actually be a worse football player by being bulked up on roids?

Steroid usage isn't nearly as prevalent in most sports these days, because there's plenty of other substances, both legal and illegal, that are more beneficial for your body than those, and have significantly less side effects.

Its why you are hearing a lot more people getting banned for non-body building type substances, such as adderall, HGH usage to recovery from injuries, etc.

Plus, we already know that fans, media, etc. couldn't care one bit about whether NFL players are on steroids or not, so I'm not even sure why its an issue. People forgive and forget a day after it happens.

This isn't MLB.

Its a damn shame.  The week that both Gillmore and Williams get injured he gets pinched for PEDs.  When it rains it pours; this is our season in a nutshell.Fo

rtunately it looks like Williams passed the concussion protocols can play vs Seattle.  He's practicing today with a red jersy, but he might be totally fine.  He looks like he'll see a great many snaps if healthy.

You need to do some research!! Seriously!! I have personally seen dudes put on 20 lbs of muscle and actually get faster. Some particular PEDs have pronounced effect on fast twitch muscle fiber. So you not only get bigger and stronger. You get more explosive.

LOL, I'm well versed in this area.

Sure, you can gain those things, depending on what substances you are taking.

Here's where we will separate the men from the boys... what percentage of NFL players do you think actually use PED's to make themselves stronger, faster, more explosive?

Be careful... its a trap question.

Yep I noticed!! lol let's just say a lot. Years ago just b4 Arod was caught I was in a conversation with some peeps in the tailgate community about PEDs. And somehow somebody brought up arod ripken. I said Arod most likely cheated so you guys need takr that into consideration. Of course nobody agreed. Everybody made cases Arod never bulked up and whatnot. I stated my guess was he probably went the juice route as early as college or even highschool. Everybody thought it was an outlandish allegation. And I do not need to tell you what happened with Arod after the debate. Just after being around juicers for years, anybody intelligent will pick up on many trademarks of a juice enhanced body.

LOL. So let me see if I got this straight...

You're basing your assessment of NFL players doing PEDs based on a combination of looking at somebodies shirtless body and the fact that you correctly predicted that ARod, who you would have been about 1 millionth in line on that train, did PED's?

That's your basis for determining that a ton of football players use PEDs? Really? Is this the level that our society has reached?

I'd trust TMZ to report on something before I trusted guy in tailgate who thinks the entire league tailgates because they "look bigger". And being in a tailgate near a stadium where somebody might be juicing doesn't qualify you as somebody who has been around "juicers". Something tells me you've never actually met a juicer.

Unreal.

I have zero doubt that 32 NFL teams and probably most college programs have a list of common OTC supplements and medications that are banned by their governing bodies due to certain ingredients being banned.

I have doubt.  If there was such a list, I'm sure we'd have known about its existence by now.  It seems just like something the NFL would do, to leave it all up to the players and just be ready to bust them when they get caught with something in their system.

This issue has come up too many times.  There should be a list of approved supplements and OTC meds (a well publicized list) as well as a list of banned products.

It must be convenient and comforting to go through life knowing that anybody who doesn't believe what you believe is just in the dark and knows nothing.

Probably not much fun to be around though.  At least not for people who disagree with you.

Doesn't do the NFL any good to seek to ban people. Makes the league look worse than the players.

So have thousands of other people. Needless to say, that doesn't make you qualified to spot one.

And just for the record you do not even have to see somebody shirtless to tell the tale!!

Nope. All you need as a fan is to see a guy gain muscle. If they gain muscle, they're juicing.

Welcome to the world we live in.

I do not claim to know everything. But PEDs?? I been around its users since college. I know every ped and exactly what it is useful for and side effects. After a while you know who is using. You can see I been going to gyms for a while and met many users and natural trainers. After a while you can spot who is juicing and not just by their size and progress. Enough about this anyways. I would prefer to talk about ravens TEs. And Maxx who is determined to reshape his body. I would prefer to discuss how much of a seam threat he will be once he puts on some muscle and a couple steps of explosiveness. And will likely run a 4.55-4.60 40 with his hands and route flexibility and craft. And will be a craftier smoother Jordan Cameron!! Edited by Winchester

Boyle, What are you doing? Competition to much for you?

(Now) would have been your time to shine.

Good luck in the doghouse. <<<<< I heard it can get crowded in there at times.
