Haha - once a Raven always a Raven: Jacoby seems to be doing everything he can so he won't have to wear that hideous jersey for long :D

Let it go will you.

Well, the Eagles ahve done us a solid by beating the pats and move ahead of us on the draft order (even though only temporarily as of now). But the Saints couldn't win if their lives depended on it this season, apparently... And the same applies to the Browns and the Rams.... If there are gonna be no shockers and big time upsets, we can win one more game (v. the Chiefs), but coulsd easily lose all four (without actaully wanting to lose any of them, of course). But even then, 4-12 or 5-11 would not probably put us higher than like #6-7 on the draft order. But hey, thats a top 10 pick.

The Ravens were hoping for consistency from Matt Schaub.

^ They got it!  He consistently throws Pick 6's! Smh!

ozzie drafts the softest players this is hard to watch

Yeah... he drafted Yanda, Flacco. Brandon Williams... and other extra-soft guys.

I would draft a franchise corner in the first round. Because we dont have one. Hopefully one of those corners out of flordia come out. Ive lost all faith in webby hes washed up and jimmy walked into that big contract he got because he was injured most of his rookie contract and he fooled everyone by showing flashes, but its clear to see now hes not that guy we can rely on. hes not a number one corner

"Luckily" the season didn't go south because of that. Just imagine how it would feel if we actaually had a chance to make the playoffs before Flacco went down... Now, THAT would be fury. This way it's funny at most...

Let go what?

Picking on former players when the Ravens got worse players on their team. I.e Brown, Elam, Monrow, soon to be J Smith. Just watch the next 4 games on Jimmy you'll see what I mean.

i wouldn't say Jernigan or Upshaw are busts.  I also think the jury is still out on T brooks.

ozzie needs to draft better players. This season is a reflection on the lack of talent on the team hes put together. All the practice squad and under the radar small school guys he trys to find lighting in a bottle with isnt working. Hes failed us as fans. We might need a new gm

This is truly a ridiculous statement.  Oz is one of the best in the game.  If he got fired plenty of teams would want to hire him.

It doesn't work that way.  And the fact that you think it does shows just how much you know about the draft.  You have to take the best player on the board.

I just don't understand how a referee can call a penalty that he doesn't see. When you see somebody fall down on a wet field, how can you just throw a flag for OPI and assume the receiver must have done something wrong....and why didn't Harbaugh put Claussen in to throw a hail mary on the last play. Schaub doesn't have a big arm.

Jernigan and T brooks are both bust, if you cant stay healthy then what good are you in this league? and Really, you really dont think upshaws a bust? how long has he been on this team and hasnt improved in the least bit. Hes a waste of a roster spot and most likely wont be on the team next season. I remember that draft vividly to because I was praying for us to draft rueben randle who eventually went to the giants. We couldve taken any number of WRs in the draft but nope classic ozzie goes defense and Alabama like he always does. Ozzies washed up

Daniel Brown is begging to become a stud in this league. Harbaugh/Trestman needs to make sure he gets more opportunities because that guy is going to explode soon. Mark my words

Our TE's cant stay healthy smh. And I see why, both Crockett & Maxx run so carelessly. Gillmore will do a good job of breaking the first tackle, but then he'll put his body in dangerous and awkward positions when taking the next hits. Same with Maxx, its almost like they don't use their brains. Their talent gets outweighed by their cockiness. Nick Boyle is turning into the real 1st round pick.

LOL the fact that you think that you have to take the best player on the board shows how much you know. You think when the raiders drafted darrious heyward bey in the first round of the 2009 draft anyone besides them thought that he was better than Michael crabtree who was still available? Nope but they still picked him. So much for your best available theory huh? LOL your funny

Jernigan starts. has he missed a few starts? sure, but not enough to consider him a bust.  And Upshaw, you really must not know the Ravens very well.  He has started almost every single game since he was drafted.  He replaced Jarret Johnson as OLB run stuffer.

Not all teams take the best player available.   Soo how well did it work for the Raiders when they did NOT take the best player available?  Hayward Bey = BUST.  They have a history of terrible draft practices.  The fact that you would use that as an example is laughable.

Had to stop and think about Forsett, I know he is not coming back this season, and I am not really all for him being our starter next season, but I am praying that he is doing good with surgery/recovery. Because that was a nasty injury.

I'm not a fan of Trestman. Next game i'm going to count the number of third downs where we pass the ball before the first down marker... and report my findings here. I get it's a philosophy difference, where some say you don't need to throw the ball beyond the first down marker to pick up the first down but in MUST convert situations, you do not throw the ball short of the marker.

The reffing is more awful than other years.

And i'm just complaining now cause it makes me feel better

You could pick out a bunch of failed draft picks for every GM in the league over the last several years, and most of them have been picking much higher than Ozzie. If half your draft picks become good players, that's a success, so in a 4 year period, you could have about 15 "busts" and still be solid at picking players. And Upshaw is not a bust. He is a quality starter.

That being said, Ozzie clearly hasn't been as successful in the draft as he was the first 15 years, but to pick out a bunch of players that didn't work out, with most of them coming in the mid or late rounds, is not a valid point, and the Ravens have still been competitive despite being decimated by injuries.

The one thing that I can honestly criticize Ozzie for is not keeping the important staff guys we've had throughout the years that made this team what it was. Whether it is our scouts or coaches, a lot of them have left. If you check our scouts, a lot of them are in their 1st and 2nd years, which is a topic worth a discussion (article)

Its really not Ozzies fault..  It is directly related to our success. Personnel on successful teams get cherry picked by unsuccessful teams.
