[News] Matt Schaub On Interceptions: That Was The Difference

I was really upset when I made that comment yesterday. I know he was an all pro and hope he can play like that again. But I'm really missing Joe.

I told the Flacco bashers when they were cheering the fact that Joe was sitting and Schaub was playing that Schaubs best won't be better than Flacco's worst and that has come to fruition, Now, just like we are seeing who can play and who can't at all positions, let's see Clausen, Mallett, Tebow or whoever we can get to come in and see who we have that may have to start the season next year. We know what we have in Schaub, a guy who can make some passes but will throw two picks a game and at least one will be a pick-6. The hope that sitting and watching would give Schaub the ability to edit some of those bad throws is now proven to be a wasted effort. Schaub is who Schaub was and Schaub will be.

Schaub is what he is. He is a tough guy, who took a pounding and kept trying, but he is just not a good QB. He like Joe before him, has few weapons, and it got worse when Crockett hurt his back.

Schaub at times seems totally lost as to where the defense is in relation to himself and his potential targets. No need to kill Schaub on here IMO, as it would have been easy for him to tap out and get out of the game yesterday, but he kept competing.

BTW, James Hurst already has gotten one QB hurt and is working on another. Speed Bump is not good at left tackle.

The fact that he should have had a humbling experience going from a starter in Houston, to a back up in Baltimore behind Joe Flacco, then once he gets another shot in the NFL he plays lackluster...is just a sign that he is done in the NFL. Whats even more upsetting is the fact that our staff guys should have realized this in practice during the offseason. They had ample time to get us a decent back-up, even if it was a under the radar type of young QB. Regardless, this will all go in our favor come the Draft

This is why I don't like pocket passing QBs! Move the pocket and no INTs not one but two tips at the line of scrimmage! Mobile QBs are taking over and it's better to be ahead of the game then play catch up! Get another QB like Tyrod "PLEASE"! Tyrod won today for the Haters! 3 TDs! Other than two INTs Matt had a good day! Top 5

Who is the last mobile/running QB (outside Wilson...once isn't a trend) to win a SB?

It's easy to blame a guy whose been sitting on the sidelines and has to play with the remains of the season so to speak. Joe could hardly do any better though we expected miracles from him. Second guessing the T. Taylor release the guys contract is three years at 3.5 million with a relatively for the NFL small signing bonus. He never showed us much because they never gave him the opportunity. You know when he came in it was basically a run or an option to a wide out who usually wasn't open. To date this year for Rex and Bills he's 17 TDs and 4 INTs. Get that cap straight puh-leaze.

If we need a mobile QB like Tyrod I have 2 names in mind: Marquise Williams of the North Carolina Tar Heels and Keenan Reynolds of the Navy Midshipmen

We weren't winning with Joe, we aren't winning with Schaub, and we certainly wouldn't be winning with Tyrod.

We are just haggling over the difference between a 4-5 team and maybe a 6-7 win team. We're not talking about any of these guys being playoff/SB contending difference makers.

Oh well, as long as he is working on not throwing the ball to the other team then we should be all good. I mean, it's not like the Seahawks have a terrifying secondary that feasts on stupid throws by inept quarterbacks, or have been given a nickname based on their exploits as dominant defensive backs. Shucks, a week worth of reflection and really putting his nose to the grindstone ought to be plenty of time to relearn the quarterback position, and ensure old Matt will turn his career around.

Oh. Wait......
