I want to see more of Daniel Brown

With how things are going I want to see more of D. Brown I liked the TD even though it was taken away then I also liked the way he threw the Dolphins defender to the ground when he was trying to steal the ball away from him.

I wanna see more Butler too. He's pretty good, kinda glad we don't have Flacco right now because:

1. He has tunnel vision and would make it impossible to evaluate WR's

2. The O-line would've killed Joe by now.

I mean Joe is out because of the oline

If he would just stop committing so many OPI penalties...... [/sarcasm]

I really liked this guy in pre season.  I am glad he is back.  I hope he finds a home with this team.

and yes, throwing down the defender was kinda awesome.  :D

Saw a little SSS in Brown on that second play

I'd like to see the referee not call a phantom OPI on him. These refs won't get it right until some radical fan physically takes their frustration out on them.

He looked good in limited snaps. We're having a bad season along with a ton of injuries, but at least we are finding some nice young talent because of it.

I know there was a fair amount of concern that Daniel Brown may not be able to succeed against first string NFL players, that he was from a small school, etc. .Actually, I couldn't care less about that. Many good players previously overlooked came from small schools. The problem has been overcoming that hurdle to get a fair shot to prove themselves. I am all for giving Daniel Brown a lot of reps with the remainder of the season to possibly find a real diamond in the rough kind of receiver.

Couldn't agree more. He's looked good whenever I see him on the field. He's certainly better than Marlon at this point. I'm not even sure what his role is.

All Marlon does is drop balls and blocks. Pretty sure Daniel can do more than that.

Agree. Maybe a little Boldin in fighting for that ball too. I love the "tough guy" mentality in WRs

It's hard to have faith in this coaching staff when it comes to evaluating unproven WRs, when they keep getting it wrong.

Daniel Brown should have been on the 53 instead of Marlon from the beginning.

And Butler should have been promoted from the PS after Campanaro was IR'd.

If there is a silver lining to this wretched, horrid season, it's that we're getting to see what the young offensive backups can do: Boyle at TE, Butler and D. Brown at WR, Williams and West at RB, Urschel and Jensen (possibly Wesley too because Hurst is simply the worst) at OL.

At least there seems to be hope that next year we will have quality depth on offense. Just need to keep the starters healthy somehow.

(edit: scratch Boyle from that list *sigh*)
