Hey Raven fans

Both our teams were a part of thrilling wins this week. That is pretty cool hey? I know you guys hate us most likely as much as Pittsburgh and New England but last night I admit we were very fortunate to win that. Controversial call or not the Lions should have been able to defend a 65 yard hail Mary. I don't get why the defenders don't try to knock it down instead of going for the interception. It always ends up being a disaster when teams do that. I hope you guys get back on track next year. Has losing Rice, Boldin and Suggs have that big of an effort on the Ravens? I thought before the season 11-5 would be the Ravens record. I still don't think we will get far in the playoffs either. I was hoping for a Ravens Packers Super Bowl.

Why would we hate GB? In fact, like I've said to you before, they're my "NFC team". Looks like I'm a full-blown Pack fan come January, since we wont be there.

Nothing controversial about it to me. Rodgers went up and made a terrific catch, that's all there is to it as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not feeling great about GB at the moment, but I'm sure they will get their offense figured out in time for a deep playoff run. That's a frightening cold weather team if the run game is clicking.

As for us, well, we had big expectations for the season obviously...but injuries, and amazingly horrible luck, have conspired against us. Crazy to think this team was 4-5 plays and a couple flags away from being undefeated as opposed to where we're at now.

Good luck!

I always considered the Packers to be the opposite of the Patriots.Everyone hates the Pats and everyone loves the Pack. At least they have nothing against the Packers, except for Bears fans I suppose.

1. What makes you think that?  The Packers are like everyone's second favourite team (unless you're a Bears/Vikings/Lions fan, which is understandable. Maybe throw in some other NFC fans you've formed a recent rivalry with). They're a classy team with classy fans and a really rich history. That last point is actually another reason I have more respect for the Steelers than the Patriots, but I digress.

2. Agreed! I think I'm in a minority of Ravens fans, but I don't even blame our loss against the Jags on the referees. They made a bad call on the Dumervil penalty, but we had several chances beforehand to either get another first down or stop them earlier when they got the ball back. If we were actually playing for something this year our inability to get another first down on our own final drive would have left me feeling sick, not the ref's call. Point is that teams always have other chances to win the game.

3. I don't miss Rice (he was slowing down even before his... incident) and Ngata's been well and truly replaced as far as I'm concerned. Their massive contracts coming off the books at once have been a bigger weight imo. Boldin would be great to have with how things have gone, but it's hard to say how well he'd be doing. His departure was the ultimate case of "leave the audience wanting more", but his regular season numbers weren't much to write home about tbh. It's hard to say if that would have changed under Kubiak and now Trestman, but if Boldin's still around we don't sign Steve Smith Sr and it's hard to say who would have done better with us over the past two season. Suggs, on the other hand, was probably the worst defensive player we could have lost to a season-ending injury and our front seven predictably isn't the same without him. Pernell McPhee's the other guy we're hurting to be without. Usually we've been able to replace guys like him but this time he's left a pretty big void.

It's just been one of those seasons for both of us. Hopefully we can both come back hard next year (and I'm not just saying that because Jordy Nelson is one of my fantasy keepers for next year ;) ).

I hate Green Bay.

I hate Rodgers.

I think he's horribly overrated.

And I think you were extremely fortunate that Detroit still has a bunch of undisciplined uncoachable mega talented defensive players than can't remember the game plan. But Green Bay is not good.

I think a lot of Ravens fans have a great deal of respect for the packers. They're atleast the team I always pull for in the nfc.

Think it might be yall and the panthers in the championship.

I respect the Packers, but I don't really care about them and whether they do well. I don't root for or against them, but I am glad Rodgers got a ring already because he deserves to not have that hanging over his head.

No.

There is NO ONE we hate as much as Pitts-burgh.

Cept for maybe N.E.

Haha.

There is no one I hate more than NE...'cept maybe Pittsburgh  ;)

Why would the OP think GB is even on our hate-radar?

Gotta admit, though, if anyone's been more screwed by the refs this year than us, it's the Lions.

the Ravens and packers are actually similar in a lot of ways.

Indeed. Nothing but respect for that organization

If I had a gun to my head and had to pick another team to root for it would be Green Bay. Huge fan of A-Rod, Cobb, Clay, Jordy, Kuhn, Shields and others. Best of luck to you guys and I hope you beat whoever reps the AFC in the Super Bowl!!!

Yeah I have no hate for Greenbay at all. I respect them. It's New England, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati that garners my hate. I have plenty of respect for Greenbay after Superbowl 45. Though I will admit, the New York Giants have a special place in my heart for Superbowl 42 and 46.

That is very true, front office wise they have very similar philosophies.

GB is alright with me but I'm rolling with Cam Newton and them Panthers!  lol

And IF there is one team I can't stand over the Steelers it's definitely those "Cheat-triots".

Packers are insulated from Ravens hate for 2 reasons. One the Pack plays for the NFC and we hardly play each other but mostly because you fans are decent. We reserve our hate in this order - Pittsburgh and NE. We hate Pittsburgh with a passion unknown to mankind for obvious reasons and hate the Pats because they don't ever win fair.

If we were to play each other in the Superbowl ever, we would certainly get a much heavier dose of each others' fan bases, and that would really drive home the love or hate we have or don't have for each other right now, especially if there is incessant whining or complaining after the fact by either side.

Before the season started, I had the Pack playing the Brady Bunch in the SB. Now, I'm not sure about the Patsies but the Pack might still make it. Good luck!

Packers kept Big Ben from winning a 3rd SB. How could we hate them after that?
