[News] Jeremy Butler Carving Out Role In Offense

5 posts in this topic

Really like Marlon... he's a stand up guy... but if Butler is coming on and Kamar looking like he's going to be the no. 2 going forward... Camp working the slot.. Waller coming back and had started taking snaps from Marlon... Perriman returning from injury... makes that room crowded... not to mention the possible (but doubtful) return of SSS.. smh... crowded room indeed...

The entire Ravens Fan base has been saying this since his first catch in the preseason, this kid plays like a draft pick and doesn't drop the ball! He's looking fast and running like a vet! I think we should move him to #2 to give givens the opportunity to use his speed up the middle of the field and on slant routes!

Jeremy is better then Marlon, he's young and the future

As of now, if it comes down to Butler or Marlon Brown for a roster spot next year, my money is on Butler. Gotta be careful, though. This article specifically mentioned Butler's ability to work the sidelines. Down and out patterns is precisely the kind of routes that Schaub seems to have defensive backs or sometimes even linebackers jump and produce pick-sixes off of. Of course, the linebackers are usually covering TEs, but Schaub's vulnerability to those nasty pick-sixes makes me a bit nervous despite Butler's ability to shine on those sideline routes. Just a thought.
