Charles, not sure when those other kickers contracts were signed, but for a kicker I dont see inflation as much. WR and CB seem to have the largest inflation, while RB jas fallen considerably. Not sure where kickers fall tbh.

As for Camp, man the dude os great, for the 2 games a year hes available. If they waste their time in keeping him Ill honestly be speechless.

I saw the story on the home Page that said "extended cut, justin tucker sings ave Maria " last night when I was a little intoxicated ...and the only words I made out were justin tucker extended.

Yeah I was a little disappointed when I woke up this a.m

or he comes to Baltimore and miraculously reforms himself.

Or better yet, we sign him and Josh Gordon and they behave themselves to form the greatest WR duo in NFL history

Just after they spent first two years in detox - they're so high it would probably take that long.

I can't even see him getting reinstated this decade

yeah at this rate his career as a whole is in pretty serious jeopardy.

Not that I think he'll come here, but Eric Weddle is almost assuredly going to leave San Diego, even if they offer him the biggest free safety contract in NFL history.

He was fined $10,000 by the Chargers front office because he did not go to the locker room, but rather stayed on the field because his daughter was doing a performance at halftime.

Classy move, Chargers... Classy...

On top of that, after recently being placed on IR, he was told he could not travel to the teams final game against the Broncos because "the plane is too small".

I'm not saying the Ravens will be able to land him, but if there's one guy I'd love them to go after, it'd be Weddle.

Considering the age and health this year, hi might be way more affordable than we think.

He's still arguably the best FS and center fielder in the NFL. I don't think he'll break the bank and be the highest paid FS in the league, but I don't think he'll be cheap.

Well out of our price range.

Wow. They did Weddle DIRTY. Wonder why there was such bad blood on the organizations part?

There had been a lot of tension stemming back to that desire for a contract extension to begin the offseason. It's been dicey all year

He's way out of our price range but he would solve so much of our problems. It would also allow us to cut Webb as well.

Living out here in SD, fans are not happy about the team possibly leaving, but also are not happy with not signing weddle to an extension.  But i honestly havent met too many die hard charger fans, most people are fans of other teams here

The Chargers fined Weddle $10k for staying on the field to hear his daughter perform during halftime... Glad that's not our franchise.

not to mention they were up 28-0 and their record was what 4-10? Yeah that's pretty pathetic. If it was a rookie I could MAYBE see why but to somebody who has earned his keep and proven to be one of the best safety's in the league? Ridiculous.

To be fair, he did not let his team know his plans.

Think about your job, if you weren't where you were supposed to be and missed a key meeting, you would be disciplined as well.

I know my company would (because I'm the HR guy)  :-)

Regarding Weddle as a player, I find him vastly overrated.

telling him there isn't enough room on the plane for him to go to Denver?they ir'ed himhim... And jammer coming out saying this is a typical chargers thing to do and treat guys leaving like this

On Mike and Mike this morning, someone was explaining how him not being in the locker room isn't much of a big deal. He went on to state that he would miss out on the game plan and just get filled in on the sidelines.

He wasn't on the clock. He was injuried, he just decided to come to the game for his teammates; and to show reward that he was fined and he's banned from coming with the team to the last game because "The Planes too small"... The chargers are scummy organization. Probably as bad as the P*triots. Why do you think Eli didn't want to play there? Edited by Cillmatic

If our front office really wanted a guy that us fans deemed "too expensive", they would absolutely find a way to make it work. We inquired about Revis last offseason and I see no reason why we wouldn't talk to Weddle's agent this offseason. He fills a huge need and if the Ravens wanted him, we would get him. I'll let things play out before I say a guy is out of our price range.

with all the holes we need to fill, I doubt they spend the majority on one player. I think he ends up in Oakland

I don't find him overrated at all. In fact I believe he is one of the best at what he does. He just played through a slew of injuries this year

Last I recall the Chargers said that they have 17 IR'd players , so traveling space is an issue, although they haven't denied a traveling request before. He was playing in the game that he skipped out on the lockerroom as well.

He went on IR on Monday, he was active and playing in the Thursday game with Oakland, he even shows up in the Box score.

In reality, he started this whole souring relationship by being a whiny baby, holding out for money when he was signed for $7.5 million this year. Was the team's response as mature as it could or should have been ? No but he wasn't exactly the model of maturity.

Not to mention the only safeties paid higher than him are :

Devin McCourty (better than Weddle)

Earl Thomas (better than Weddle)

Eric Berry (still on Rookie Deal)

Dashon Goldson

Jarius Byrd (Cant stay healthy)
