Week 13 Discussion (Other NFL Teams)

473 posts in this topic

It is week 13 of the 2015 season, and we are 4 weeks away from figuring out who will have a shot to play in Super Bowl 50. With the Broncos beating the P*triots, the Carolina Panthers stand tall as the last remaining undefeated team with a chance at 16-0. Plus playoff and division implications!

And Then There Was One

Panthers @ Saints: The Carolina Panthers haven't lost a regular season game in a year marking 15 consecutive regular season wins. The Panthers can clinch the NFC South with a win or with a Falcons loss.

Playoff Implications

Packers @ Lions: Don't look now Green Bay but your on the edge of a playoff spot all of a sudden. They lost 3 in a row which started with a loss to the Lions, beat the Vikings then loss to the Bears. The Lions are playing much better, and like the Ravens they are hoping to make a 9-7 playoff run after what seemed to be a lost season.

49ers @ Bears: Just like the Lions and Ravens, the Bears slow start seemed like it was going to lead to a bad season. Yet like the Lions and Ravens, the Bears are turning things around and putting themselves into the playoff hunt.

Jets @ Giants: This is a home game for both teams, as both look to make a run for the playoffs. The Giants are hoping to still win the NFC East while the Jets are looking for a wild card spot in the AFC. A win by the Giants can clinch the AFC East for the P*triots.

Falcons @ Buccaneers: The Falcons playoff hopes are in jeopardy while the upstart Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by rookie Jameis Winston are looking to surprise everyone by winning a wild card spot. The Bucs have beat the Falcons once already, looking to sweep them for the first time since 2007.

Cardinals @ Rams: The Rams play their division tough, the Cardinals are slipping as of late. Can the Nick Foles led Rams spoil the Cardinals chances at a playoff BYE?

Seahawks @ Vikings: The Vikings can leave week 13 with the 2 seed if the Rams beat the Cardinals. The Seahawks coming off that huge victory against the Steelers look to stay in the NFC Wild Card race.

Cowboys @ Redskins: The Redskins & Giants are left in what is the NFC LEAST. The media will tell you that at 3-8, the Cowboys can still win their division. Hopefully a win by the Redskins on Monday Night will shut the media up for good.

Colts @ Steelers: Matt Hasselbeck continued his undefeated streak as the Colts starting QB last week. Going to Pittsburgh is no easy task but without Big Ben, Hasselbeck may be able to continue his winning streak and give the Colts a huge road victory. If Ben doesn't play, the NBC crew on Sunday Night gets Hasselbeck vs Landry Jones, a far better match up than Josh McCown vs Matt Schaub.

Texans @ Bills: The Houston Texans have turned things around which is not good for Rex Ryan and company. Houston looks to stay tied with the Colts until their week 15 game that may very well decide who wins the AFC South.

Broncos @ Chargers: The Chargers finally broke that losing streak but it may not last long against the Broncos D. The Broncos under Brock Osweiler are looking to take the 2 seed away from the Bengals.

Chiefs @ Raiders: Will the Chiefs have Justin Houston trying to get to Derek Carr or will they be without their elite pass rusher? Both teams are in the AFC Wild Card hunt.

Bengals @ Browns: I am only including it because of the above game. Austin Davis will be the Browns 24th starting quarterback since 1999 when he starts against the Bengals. Barring an upset, the two seed should be decided in the week 16 game between the Bengals and Broncos.

The Thurs night game is huge!!! I don't know if it would be an upset or not but I can see the Lions sweeping the Pack this year. The Lions D is coming alive and the Packers are having injury problems on their OLine and their WRS are having a serious case of the dropsies plus I like the matchup of the Lions receivers against the Pack's secondary. I really wish there was a whole week for both teams to get prepared tho.

It's why I switched my pick to the Lions, especially after that loss to the Bears where they choked at home. It's crazy to think that a Aaron Rodgers led team is slipping on the verge of missing the playoffs but now it seems they are having bad luck at the worst time to have it.

Also that entire right side of the Packers offensive line is OUT for tonight's game. Right Guard TJ Lang and RT Bryan Bulaga will not be playing in this game.

Well.... That escalated quickly. The Lions now lead 17-0 after a Calvin Johnson TD.

In which, why did the Packers Defensive Coordinator think single coverage on Megatron would work?

Greenbay's offense just isn't dynamic without Jordy Nelson.

Wait I thought GB was great because of Rodgers?

The amount of excuses pundits and announcers make for him are ridiculous

That was a garbage bailout dpi call

They are down 17-0, the refs have are going to be bailing them out a lot tonight.

I think he's doing great with what he's given. I mean they have no type of run game, shifting OL in and out of lineups like us, and their WRS just aren't good. I think they have similar problems to us offensively.

Redlobster is saying what I've been saying for all these great QBs, not just Rodgers.

So not even Aaron Rdogers can do much without receivers? It's been obvious all year. I thought that type of thing was just an "excuse" for "homers" around here.

Let's swap out Adams and Cobb for Aiken, givens and stickers to be named later and see if Rodgers can handle that better

All these flavors and y'all choose to be salty.

No OL, run game or wrs.  Almost everyone here talks about how "great" his weapons are and now look.

Are the Lions finally that good or have the Packers just tanked completely? Hard to believe all the needed for a better offense was Cooter

Nelson is a great weapon...and we're seeing life without him. Not pretty.

Lions have been great since they trashed their staff.

It's a combination of the Lions playing better and GB has been figured out.  Teams know their wars can't get separation and their o line is porous.  Lacy is essentially an extra guard now.

We still have the worst wr corps, but damn does GB look awful.  Not going to excuse Rodgers cause you never throw high over the middle.  He has to step up.  I never would've thought Nelson would have this kind of impact on an offense.  I refuse to believe that's the only reason they look this bad.  The team as a whole just looks worse.

Or did people talk about how great his weapons were? He shows his greatness with an excellent TD:INT ratio as always, but he hasn't been outstanding anywhere else this year without multiple receivers that can make tremendous plays everywhere you look. Heck, even after last week and this half, he still has less passing yards than Flacco.

Crazy that the Packers started 5-0 and might end up being 6-5 after the night is over.

It's one thing if the Falcons do it but the Packers? Crazy.

The whole league in general is pretty trash outside of 3 or 4 teams.

I knew immediately when Nelson went down that they would struggle moving the ball through the air. I had no idea they wouldn't be able to run the ball anymore, though. Man are they lucky James Jones landed back in their laps or they might be in deep trouble at this point in the season. Maybe up there amongst the most important free agent signings in the league this year.

This season has been an awful product by the NFL.

He's also has 10 more tds, 8 less picks and more wins.  He's having an awful year, though, play wise, by his standards.

Thanks for reiterating what I already stated.

That lucky fluke TD just changed the momentum of this game. Now the Packers have a chance to get right back in this one.
