is this the worst tight end class ever?

did we load up on TEs just in time? because this appears to be literally the worst TE class i have ever seen, i dont see one in the first 2 rounds even for a TE starved team.

Probably. Definitely relieved that we loaded up just in time and this is the last thing that we have to worry about. Our tight ends will probably be the strong point of the team next year and years to come. Just torn on what to do with pitta if he decides to return.

only one i can see is Hunter Henry from arkansas he's a great receiver but they made him do blocking duty this year to improve his skills In that area.

Idk i like OJ Howard I think he could be a second rounder, and Bucky Hodges looks like he could be a really good receiver probably around the 3rd round.

Howard is my BOY! I would love to have him here and I don't care if we have TE already set. That guy looks great IMO. He would be a great pick in the 4th round or so. I'm not sure he's likely to be there, but he's a really good TE. I love that guy.

No. It's not great but it's not bad. It's similar to the 2014 class, IMO, maybe slightly not as good. Henry is a freaking beast from Arkansas. I think very highly of that guy. Not a whole lot behind him, but that's really every year. We got really lucky with Williams and Boyle and even Gillmore. If they all pan out I think we literally struck lightening.

Plenty will still be drafted in day 2 and day 3, as teams are always looking to add tight ends, since good ones create such a mismatch for defenses.

i wouldn't say "ever" but its most definitely a really weak class. Henry may go 2nd, I don't think last years class was much better than this years class either. We got the top TE late 2nd...

I like Jake Butt from Michigan, OJ Howard from Bama, and Hunter Henry from Arkansas a lot. However, all three are juniors and are not locks to declare. I say Butt and Henry are solid 2nd rounders and Howard is a third rounder. I'd say if those three declare, this TE class is better than last years, but thats not saying much.

Bucky Hodges won't declare this year and trust me, when he declares, he'll be far better than a third rounder.

Yeah forgot he's a sophomore, looks really good though he'll put up monster combine numbers and shoot up boards in 2017.

He's a redshirt sophomore, so he could declare, but he has no reason to after how this year kinda panned out.

He's the freak tight end in the mold of Ebron/Graham that teams just gush over. He's got top 15 potential, but Loefler is an idiot and the quarterback play at VT is questionable.

He was hurt a lot by Brewer's injury this year. Motley just never developed solid chemistry with him and Hodges is a deep threat, which was Motley's weakest area. He may go later than he should, but I would fear him falling to the Patriots. Gronk and Hodges would be unfair.

If he decided to declare this year and fell a bit due to the slight drop in production, I'd still gladly draft him(or Howard for that matter) no matter how many tight ends we have. Edited by Clmraven

He's essentially what the Ravens had in Pitta with the potential to be Graham in NO. I'd take that in a heartbeat.
