OTHER potential first round picks

The reports on Lawson reminds me of Stefon Diggs. People said he was injury prone but his injuries weren't the recurring ones. They were just strange injuries. Diggs has clearly been worth it.

I think sometimes injury concerns are overblown. We've seen players play their college careers healthy and then become injury ridden in the NFL. Jimmy Smith is a great example of this. Just really freak injuries.

that is exactly how I described diggs during the draft, and yes I agree that they are similar

We have no shot at taking him imho but I really like Anthony Zettel from Penn St., the guy is a DT and has a bunch of batted passes. 6'4" 285lbs, he has a big arsenal of moves and I think would be great as DE. But as I said, I doubt we'll take him, he's a late first guy but whatever team takes him I think is going to be smiling from ear to ear come next season...

Maybe irrelevant but I used fanspeak out of boredom and according to them, Ronnie Stanley is the only possible pick for first overall, boss is a 22nd rounder, and Tyler boyd and Mackenzie are top 10 picks.. Found it humorous

That's quite the lengthy draft if there are 22 rounds.

bosa* 2nd* phones really have a mind of their own

To be fair, the chances of him making the second round are about the same as him making the 22nd.

Well who knows, Randy Gregory was a top 5 prospect but once word came out that he failed his Combine drug test he drops to the 2nd round and gets taken 60th overall. I'm not that well informed but I read somewhere that Bosa also has some off field issues.

thoughts on michael thomas out of OSU? i wasnt a big fan at first but he has grown on me, at the combine he may appear to be the most complete receiver, meaning youll be able to see a very good balance of size, speed, quickness, routes, burst, etc. the only thing that worries me is his hands, because im not sure how strong he is in that area, he seems to be able to beat college corners for the most part but he also does alot of body and arm catching, and he seems to just barely hang on sometimes, i worry that he is best suited as a high target guy as he has solid routes but isnt overly fast, but he fails to live up to that role with inconsistent hands. if he can prove to have consistent hands then i am a fan

If we cannot get our hands on Stanley, I think we should try dropping back, collect few picks and select Kendall Fuller.

That dude is one serious playmaker. You can see him lined up everywhere and he is good everywhere. I am very impressed, when I watch him I kind of know I'm looking at a very good pro. The nature of his injury doesn't suggest he should slide down the board because of it and I think he has no chance lasting till our 2nd round.

I love Fuller. You don't think he'll last to our second? I think it's possible. I mean, the Patriots don't have a 1st round pick, so we're already one up from where we would normally be. I think he could be there, maybe we have to trade up a bit to get him. Not sure. Regardless, I would love him here.

Treadwell or trade back. I love Jaylon Smith and Myles Jack, but we already made thd mistake of taking an ILB too early. Don't want to double down even though bith of them are better than Mosley.

It's pretty murky waters past the top 15-20, I think - hard to tell, really. His bloodline might just prop him up to the surface, so he goes on day 1.

i would love Myles jack next to Mosley. With a new d cooridnator preferably. DB will still be a need but our linebackers are old. And it doesn't matter who we get at DB without good front seven play. And Stanley or tunsil in the first is there to get James hurst far away from this team.

CB is a bigger deficiency than LB right now, although the current LB corps is pretty bad. Zach Orr has flashed ability in coverage which is a good sign for the future. I expect him to take over next year next to Mosley. Smith or Jack would be great players but the Ravens can't afford to use another high pick at that position. ILB is just a lot easier to fill compared to WR, CB, pass-rush, OT, etc.

Yeah, but I think Ozzie would turn in his card before the clock hits 9:59 if Jack falls to us in the second. Man...That would be sweet.

Yes, that would be an obvious and amazing choice but he is projected as a top 10-15 talent. I don't think he would fall that far given his ability and the nature of the injury he had not being too serious.

Yeah I agree. It's unlikely but linebackers have fallen more than other positions, although I personally agree it's unlikely but certainly not improbable. Ozzie would certainly have it easy with his pick, though. Lol

I would proudly lead the "fire Ozzie" bandwagon

It wouldn't be a bandwagon, it would be a full on Military Armada. I call First Lieutenant!

If they go past OU, Alabama O line will swallow him. No biting or chewing required.
