Next week watch closely how many times a safety's (whomever's) hand (of any team)is not exactly on the line...then you'll see how it's so not a big deal.

All game long I was pleased with how much heart the team played with. When we got to that final Brown's field goal try, all I could think of was just somehow block the kick. I was willing to go into overtime to try to win. I sat in total disbelief when Will scored a touchdown after the block. This team will be the better next year for all the effort these backup players are working with. When our starters get back next year, they will know that they have to fight for their jobs more than ever. Harbs quote about "iron sharpen iron" is going to be the by word next season.

You really can't get an accurate view of whether someone is on sides or off.  The officials who are looking right down that line can. IF they see it they call it.  You act as though they are seeing it but not calling it because they were "close enough".  That is just not the case.

Billiejean ??? I'm saying the issue of a missed penalty here is a weak stance to defend based on the particular call (lack of call) being brought into question.

Now...Urschel coming onto field, right in front of ref, waving his hands to report eligible and then after a 6 yard gain is flagged and we're told he didn't report eligible when everyone watching now knows he did...that effects play.

Each call is different. Look at each call instead of trying to say one is the same as the other. Some cost yardage and games and gave an advantage in some way...other calls like this one at end of Browns game are more like looking for any little thread to grasp to say the outcome of game was unfair.

Yes they are, but that changes nothing.

All I want is an explanation. I want you to tell me why not calling the Jags Olineman for a false start and the end of a game is such a major missed call that it warrants a game score being changed, but our guy lining up offsides on a FG block at the end of the game is no big deal?

I want to know why one is so much more materially different and game altering than the other.

Maybe because we weren't lined up in the neutral zone. Breaking all over Twitter now: NFL says Ravens were not offside on blocked field goal.

In all of the commotion over the jaw dropping, game ending kick 6, I want to also send a shout out to our new returner, Kaelin Clay. Due to Clay's fantastic turbo jets TD punt return, the Ravens were able to stay in this game. Welcome to Baltimore, Kaelin Clay, what a great way to introduce yourself to us fans. Keep it up and congrats on your contribution to the win.

Gotta respect the fight in this team. We looked a hell of a lot better than I thought we could. I thought Buck Allen and Terrance West looked good. The Defensive Line is definitely getting after it more, and you gotta give them props for their improvement. We still can't cover with our big Bama linebackers (Upshaw and Mosley). I thought signing Shareece Wright was a desperate move, but he sure showed some cover skills last night. I still see a lot of guys in the secondary out of position at time and it probably makes sense drafting a CB 1st Round, because we could sure use some more guys who can cover. Corners and Pass Rushers is what this team needs.

The league just stated that the correct call was made last night and Levine was NOT offside. Can we squash this mess now?

I stand corrected (though the lack of reaction is somewhat disturbing).

The missed call vs the Jags would have ended the game b/c there would have been a 10 second run-off.

The call last night is a 5 yard penalty and he still has to kick it. There are two outcomes at the point, he misses or makes it.

Nice tackle, Justin ... but I have to admit - you scare the heck out of me when you do stuff like that.

Can someone please put together a Justin Tucker highlight video. He probably has like 10 big tackes already. A couple of players he hit stayed down for a while!

So what? There are probably missed calls on almost every play. With all the phony calls the Ravens get and missed calls against their opponents It's good to see one go their way for a change. Out of bounds? I wondered that myself but after watching several replays I don't see it, TOUCHDOWN RAVENS!!!

It galls me down to the very depth of my bowels that the zebras stole our win against the Jags. We would be in the hunt for the playoffs. Instead we have to contend with the NFL (thank you Rodger) telling us that this time the clowns got it right. I rue the day having to watch these Neanderthals control the games.

Courtney Upshaw must have the heaviest punch of all NFL players man! He is a scary beast to get hit by! Ask Ben 'Carted away for a sprain' Roethlisberger!

Was a great team win, and very humble of Brent to say, not seeking praise, but he'll get a bunch. What a way to start your career, finally!

No Kidding. I think he looks for his opportunities.  He had one of these in the preseason this year that took a few years off my life.  No Tucker, NO!  This game has no meaning and you are too valuable, then WHACK.  Tucker popped up a lot faster than the guy with the ball did.  You get the impression that he was a linebacker or a DB in a former life.

Has there been an update on Maxx? I know there are limits on how much the team can share due to the privacy laws but a general update on how he is doing would be cool.

At 5-6, we still aren't in the playoff hunt. We don't have the talent to win many of the games left on our schedule.

Being 5-6 would just be a tease, nothing more.

So what does Flacco have to say?? No tweet or anything? Why not?

Huh? He tweeted this yesterday: "Great team win last night! #RavensNation". There may have been more that I missed. He rarely tweets.

I swear this guy cracks me up. The commentator said something like "justin tucker has only allowed 3 kicks to be returned out of the end zone all season"

The next kickoff, the guy runs it out instead of taking a touchback. I'm thinking to myself damn he jinxed it. 2 seconds later my friend looks at me and asks "Was that your kicker?"

Hell yeah it was!

I just don't see why one can't have it both ways: I, for one, never root for the Ravens to lose, and I am just as happy when we win as any other time - it's just that I'm not sad if we end up losing, because now it has more upside than downside.

It's not necessarily more upside than downside...high draft picks guarantee nothing(just look at Cleveland)...losing becomes a habit just like winning does...main thing is to keep fighting no matter who is auditioning at certain positions...I'm concerned at how the defense seemed to throw in the towel last week...hoping they come out hungry this week
