Schaub did not play like Flacco. Schaub threw two picks and one of them was worth 6 points for the other team.

Im not saying Flacco doesnt throw picks. The difference is

1) you treat Schaub's picks like an inevitability. you sit there the whole time just wondering when theyll come

2) When Flacco throws picks its usuall because his line cant protect him, and/or his receivers are bad, and/or its late in the game, he's out of options, and has to try to make the game winning play.

Schaub just makes dumb decisions.

Say what you will about the 2015 Ravens, but after the midseason bye week our team is on a 4 game winning streak. Kudos for not opening the gates and inviting bad karma through the front door by deliberately sucking for high draft picks. You do that and you deserve a crappy draft class filled with busts. Play with honor and dignity and the draft will take care of itself.

we only have 4 wins on the whole season, and they did not come in the last 4 weeks.

also, its only been 3 weeks since our bye.

This was actually not a great game for the wolfpack. Tucker allowed 2 kickoffs to be returned and both were for nice gains. He usually kicks them out of the endzone. Koch, one of the best punters in the league, picked the worst possible time to have a bad punt of only 39 yards. Then there was the hold by Morgan Cox that nullified a punt that had the Browns pinned on their 10 yard line.

I didn't find him particularly accurate either. Even some of the completions he made weren't particularly accurate throws.

The big completion to a wide open Aiken in the 4th quarter... he legitimately underthrew that ball by several yards and almost didn't get it there.

I find Joe, who has his accuracy issues himself, puts his guys in a much better position for YAC than Schaub did last night. That might improve, but it looked to me like Schaub was purely happy just to complete the pass, not necessarily to gain max yardage.

You realize Flacco threw 2 INT'S in his last two games?

I agree with John here: Schaub was rather reminsicent of the 2015 Flacco. That doesn't mean they are the same quality QB's - it's just Flacco's performance this season and Schaub's only recent game we've seen.

I think the comparison is to be made between how Schaub played last night and how Flacco's performed THIS SEASON. It's not the comparison of the two guys' capabilities - who's a "better QB" geneerally (Flacco would win that comparison any day). While Flacco is obviously a better QB, this season he seemed genuinely undermotivated - even for his usual cool self. His performance ths season was nowhere near what he can actually do when he feels like it. While wishing he wouldn't have gotten hurt and never had to miss a snap, let alone a game or almost half of a season, I actually think this prolonged absence from the field may actually do good to him - it might develop a kind of hunger for the game in him he seems to have been missing for some time. I'll be thrilled to see the "back on the field at last" Joe next season instead of the "just another day at the office" Joe I've seen much of this season. We need that, he needes that, the team needs that...

Think we should have run the ball more, though. Trestman isn't committed to the run, it seems. Schaub isn't a reliable passer

Maybe he didn't yet dare to give West too many repos and he didn't want to overload Allen. We're seriously down on servicable RB's, I think it's better to be careful about giving Allen too many carries - from the workload point of view.

All in all, considering how deep we are down into available talent, I'd say this was one heck of an effort by the team. I've seen Flacco commit some of the same errors as Shaub. So I can't complain about a veteran non-starter for 2 years come in and play his heart out. He's what we got and we got to stick behind him. Coaching is on par with this replacement team as well.

Givens was Open 90% of the game, Kamar Aiken is a beast He's learning from Steve smith sr. , Allen is playing like he's a Superbowl Champ, And T. West gave us a great look of his talents, O-line played better at times. In terms of Offense They played a lot better, Just 2 really dumb passes.

Defense = CJ Mosley , Brandon Williams, Daryl smith and Elvis Dumervil Are the leaders. Wright and most of the corners played a good game. We are getting better, Enjoy this Win, because we're going to keep Winning!!!

1. Special Teams answered the bell 2) The defense is really bad. Only significant injury is Suggs and they make every offense and QB look great. 3.) The offense still is too pass happy. Trestman hates running the ball. Browns are terrible against the run and you have a backup QB and still only 12 carries by your lead bak. QBs under Trestman become turnovers machines. RUN THE BALL. 4) Young guys taking advantage of opportunities. 5)This team always plays hard. Rarely does this team look defeated. They give everyone a tough time. something for fans to be proud of despite records.

lol 23 rushes/34 passes. We passed more once we got behind but I believe we only passed like 11 times in the first half. Hardly pass happy. What do you want? A run every down?

On the O line and run game ... it was good to see them do well. Going forward, we'll get to see what they can do against defenses that don't stink on ice vs. the run.

Agree totally with point 4. While the defense has generally been playing better, their collapses on final drives are beyond maddening. As a matter of fact, all I could think was - if we are a team that is showing real improvement, we can't let them score to tie this now. But they did - again. We have absolutely no one that can cover on top and with all the positives Hill brings, his lapses in coverage at times are devastating.

Make the League rethink flexing that Seattle game who doesn't want to see the Primetime Ravens play Sunday night regardless of the record I love this team. They have been disappointing to watch majority of the year but I still bleed purple baby. Another thing is every time Ray Lewis comes to the game we win we need to get him on the coaching staff!!

I don't think Schaub played anything like Joe this season. Comparing a pick 6 against the best D in the league, the same one that held Aaron Rodgers to 87 yds passing, to a pick 6 against the Browns is laughable. Also, Flacco has never thrown an int to set the other team up for the win at the end of the 4th qtr. All of his late game picks have been with us already losing, so there was nothing to lose by taking a shot, and he usually drove us down the field and at least gave his receiver a chance. Flacco's offense put up 30 against the Browns, and that was without Gilmore and Givens, and I'm pretty sure Hayden played and Joe didn't throw any picks. Schaub had 2 chances to win the game against a pathetic defense, and we went 3-and- out and threw an int. I don't remember Joe ever looking like that with consecutive chances to win a game. Schaub had all day to throw, had plenty of help from the run game, the Browns were missing assignments and leaving our receivers uncovered, and we still needed 2 special teams TDs. Flacco has usually had to deal with pressure, a struggling run game, and lack of separation by the receivers. The Browns D is so bad, that Schaub didn't have to deal with any of that, and our offense still only scored 20, which is less than what we were averaging with Joe.

Yes the Special Teams units lead the team in big plays, but I have a hard time anointing them as "sensational" when they also have the 5th most penalty yards in the NFL. How many games have stupid ST penalties changed the momentum of a game this year?

5 THOUGHTS: 1. Special teams coach needs a raise. 2. Pees still needs to go! 3. Glad to see Urban getting the chance to make an impact. 4. We can still make no name QB's look like HOFers 5. Buck Allen, Urban, Givens, Timmy, BWillaims, Yanda, CJ, CDavis, Tucker, The TE's, and Will Hill give us a lot of hope heading into next season!

The draft is 2016 people. Give it a rest. The Ravens want to win THIS year!!!! They will continue to strive for wins as it should be. You won't find this team giving up to get a better draft pick for next season. Looks like we have a few diamonds in the rough on the squad now. Go Ravens.

Well, the official record book says we lost, so I'm going with that.

Asterisks don't mean anything. They are literally little stars at the end of something that nobody looks at.

If we had actually won that game, we'd be 5-6. But we are 4-7.

This isn't make believe.

My five thoughts for the game.

Matt Schaub had "moments" of quality play. I love the Ravens and therefore I have to cheer him on and hope he does well. That being said, here are my five thoughts about last night's game.

1. Matt Schaub is horrible!

2. Matt Schaub is horrible!

3. Matt Schaub is horrible!

4. Matt Schaub is horrible!

5. Matt Schaub is horrible!

I disagree..... Matt Schaub hasn't played in a game in a year, and he is expected to pick up the reins from Joe and be spectacular? Not only is that unrealistic, but it is unfair. He showed a decent amount of chemistry and rhythm with several receivers last night, and that will only get better now that he is in the #1 seat...... His confidence will improve, as will his chemistry, and I believe he is still our best chance to play out this season and get a few more wins. Did you watch Tony Romo on Thanksgiving day? His second game back after being injured for a few weeks and threw 4 picks before he was knocked out of that disastrous game..... It happens to every QB in the NFL, even Brady........

I thought Schaub had some very good moments. Considering the time he's been away from starting a game, he was no worse than many other QBs in the league. The big issue I had was with that last drive w/ 55 seconds left to go at their own 38 yard line. The Browns run defense is terrible, and the Ravens had success all night running the ball -- why not at least run the ball a couple of times in that situation to hopefully get past midfield and then try to set up a manageable field goal? Schaub already had one INT and his passing in the 2nd half did not look as sharp as the first half. At worst, would've gone to OT where it seemed like it was heading anyway. At best, win the game with a 40-50 yard FG. But that interception on the final drive - wow. Give a lot of credit to Kamar Aiken for stopping Williams, and then of course, credit to the Browns for being the Browns. :)

yeah. and to be fair, its not all totally on Schaub....he basicalyl hasnt played in two years, he's not used to any of those dudes out there. that second pick he threw was bad timing, Schaub was expecting Aiken to cut back a lot faster than he did.

but still...

Nice win. I'm just glad Ravens don't play the Patriots because they would try to break Peyton's 5 touch down record on this secondary.

doesnt matter what SHOULD have happened, what DID happen is: we lost. Playoff seeding doesnt account for moral victories. Neither do the record books.
