[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts At Browns

should have mentioned our continued dropped interceptions woes. we're two games behind pittsburgh in second place with this win, with our luck we'll play ourselves right out of draft position.

...and here I was all ready to accept another winnable game as a loss. I have to admit it was a special kind of win in the waning seconds of the game. Although as was mentioned in Eisenburg's 5 Thoughts...it should never have come down to this last minute shoot out. But at least Cleveland didn't sweep us this season. I see, as a team, we do have potential and I ocassionally I see "flashes of greatness." There is hope for us next year, RavensNation!

1. Special Teams answered the bell 2) The defense is really bad. Only significant injury is Suggs and they make every offense and QB look great. 3.) The offense still is too pass happy. Trestman hates running the ball. Browns are terrible against the run and you have a backup QB and still only 12 carries by your lead bak. QBs under Trestman become turnovers machines. RUN THE BALL. 4) Young guys taking advantage of opportunities. 5)This team always plays hard. Rarely does this team look defeated. They give everyone a tough time. something for fans to be proud of despite records.

So glad about last nights game. One of my good friends kept giving me a hard time ever since that last browns game when McCown put up 450 on us. He bet that McCown would go for 350 last night, and he lost!!!!!!! So proud of our Ravens!! Shaub tho??? Ehhhh

I'll admit, early in the season I was a Kamar Aiken doubter. But now I have much respect for him. Can't appreciate him enough for the job he has done for his teammates and this team. I mean he really has improved right in front of our eyes.

glad to see the young patch work o-line play well but with every win they are playing themselves out of a possible pro bowl LT or OLB/PASS RUSHER. i missed the second half but did arthur brown get any reps at lb?

Not sure if we should be happy or sad. Want to be competitive but really want a high end pick.

We are one play better than a third string quarterback and people seem happy. The secondary really sucks. Sorry but they can't stop anyone and when we have a chance for a pick they can't catch.

Got to give Harbaugh credit. The talent is not there (really bad football IQ on most of the players) he does get them ready to play and there is no quit. In defense of both coordinators, you can only work with what you have. And that's not much.

We will probably wind up with a mid-round pick and OZZIE will pick best player (which means someone from Alabama). It's what he does.

I do have one request. For the season ending press conference how about having fans come and ask questions, not the press. The press asks softball questions not wanting to offend, I think you would get better questions from the fans.

No matter how bad it gets (and I watched the entire game), they are still my team. Go Ravens.

Say what you will about the 2015 Ravens, but after the midseason bye week our team is on a 4 game winning streak. Kudos for not opening the gates and inviting bad karma through the front door by deliberately sucking for high draft picks. You do that and you deserve a crappy draft class filled with busts. Play with honor and dignity and the draft will take care of itself.

My five thoughts for the game.

Matt Schaub had "moments" of quality play. I love the Ravens and therefore I have to cheer him on and hope he does well. That being said, here are my five thoughts about last night's game.

1. Matt Schaub is horrible!

2. Matt Schaub is horrible!

3. Matt Schaub is horrible!

4. Matt Schaub is horrible!

5. Matt Schaub is horrible!

It was a 2:30 AM game for me so unfortunately I only saw the first half, but that one looked good. Obviously, Schaub threw two interceptions in the second half, but the first half it was a sight for sore eyes watching the game. A punt return for a touchdown, the following offensive drive a scoring one, where Schaub threw a long one to Givens and moved us across the field, Allen performing like a legitimate starter in his own right, C. J. Mosley, Webby and Will Hill all over the place and only one flag thrown for the Ravens.

I saw the highlights, second half looked like more of a nail biter, but what a win!!! That's a good NFL premiere for Brent Urban. I'm glad we kept him on the roster and on PUP this year, despite not being healthy for so long. And Will Hill is a monster!!!

Not that we were good enough this season anyway with all the injuries, rough luck, etc., BUT if the officials don't make a mistake in the Jaqs game as the NFL admitted they did, the Ravens would have 5 wins and be only one game out of a wild card spot. Crazy, Right?

A win is a win. Watching this game it's evident offensively we lack talent: WRs are just slow and can't seperate to include Givens. The oline lacks physicality and got stood up several times. Jensen even got smacked on the 1st play and didn't do anything and pushed around later in the game. Dline can't get pressure on QB. LBs can't pass cover and Upshaw should never cover anyone - no big contract for him Ozzie!!! DBs tackled well but still give up too many big plays and Will Hill is lucky for the block and recover for TD but he still plays out of position a lot. Man, we got some holes to fill but Clay looks like he got himself a job!

i said it the other day i expected some sloppy play from the offense, but was looking forward to the defense continuing to progress....The D-line did a very good job in collapsing the pocket...J.Smith was a disappointment again, he isn't earning that extension, and Webb is looking great again, flying around and making solid tackles...Nothing comes easy for this team, but they will always compete to the end, that's what makes them so awesome...Playing like Ravens regardless of the record...

You have to admire the fight and character on this TEAM. Interesting to watch the final handful of games. REALLY looking forward to next year. The injury bug hopefully will stay away.

Watching the players fight and win this season is getting me so hyped for when we have an injury free team!

Givens > Jacoby

SSS > Boldin

Perriman (Hopefully) > TSmith

Boyle/Maxx/Gilmore >(!) Dickson

Last time Flacco had that many weapons he got the hardware.. Spend the draft on pass rusher and ball hawk and this team can go the distance.

We do lack talent, but offensively, look at how many guys we are missing. 7 starters are out (8 if you count Perriman). That's crazy to even think about. Obviously we aren't going to have talent on offense with our injuries, but a few guys did impress me last night. I thought both backs ran the ball great. I think Gilmore will be a very good player in this league, Aiken would be a solid #3 WR, and Givens may have found a place on this team for next year, and Urschel may be our starting center next year. Honestly, offensively we do need more weapons, but defensively is where we need playmakers. Like you said, we lack talent on that side of the ball. We don't have much of  a pass rush. Doom gets a little pressure, but it shows how important Suggs was to his success. We need to draft another pass rusher, either in round 1 or 2. Our D-Line is pretty stout against the run, just missing some pass rushers. Our LBs are solid, Daryl Smith is playing like he is still 25 years old. Mosely is obviously a great player, who was all over the field last night, but he needs to work on his coverage skills. Upshaw is still a rotational OLB. Great holding the edge, but ZERO pass rush. He won't get a big contract on the FA market.

Honestly, our first pick in the draft needs to be a very good pass rusher, or a play maker in the secondary. Either a FS or very good corner. I don't want to tank the rest of the season, as we will be drafting pretty high no matter what, but we need a high draft pick this year.

What's that? Ah ..... draft? Don't talk about ..... draft? You kidding me? Draft? We just won a game in thrilling fashion against a city who hates us and you wanna talk about .... draft? (Rolls over eyes and sighs)

In reply to two posts on here, I agree that Kamar Aiken had a very good night. There's no doubt about that. But, in no way, shape, or form, should he legitimately be called a #1 receiver. The fact that he IS Our #1, says a lot about the overall quality of our receiver corps. Yes, I know that SSS is out, but he may not be back. And Perriman, he Does have the potential to be a #1, but to date he is an unproven commodity. Now, Jeremy Butler. I agree that he is better than Marlon Brown, who has become a Huge disappointment after his promising first season Two years ago. But, again, these guys, Aiken and Butler, are role players, three of four receiver sets players. Camp is Great, if he could only stay on the field. Bottom line is, I guess I'm saying that we still have one of the weakest receiving corps in the league. Nevertheless, last night's game had a Most exciting ending. I Do appreciate the effort our receivers are giving but, honestly, our best right now, Aiken, is probably a #3 receiver, by NFL standards, at best. What an incredible ending though, huh? Let's just enjoy that for a while, OK?

This was like a reversal of every game this year when we lost on the last play. Reminded me of the San Diego game, but in reverse.
