The good, bad and ugly vent thread week 12 Browns

212 posts in this topic

Good: shareece wright, Buck Allen, Terrence west, clay , dumervil, Aiken.

Bad: Jimmy smith , Kendrick Lewis, secondary not being able to catch easy interceptions.

Ugly: schaub- he damn sure tried to lose the game for us- but the football gods have a very cruel sense of humor.

Uglier: the Browns. I feel bad for them man. Just when they think they've got a win in the bag , it gets stolen from them at the hands of urban and will hill. Too bad so sad.

I wasn't expecting much from this preseason-like game, but I'll be damned if it didn't turn out to be fun. I'm just happy when this team shows some heart and fire this year, and they showed it tonight despite their issues.

If the officials hadn't screwed up in the Jacksonville game we would have had 4 straight wins and would be 5-6 with a decent shot of the playoffs.

Still don't like the highest paid DB looking around at other team mates after he misses coverage and allows a TD and a few conversions. Guy is making way too much money for that to happen so often.

Good:  Special Teams is still the only thing going for this team.  Wright has been great the last 3 games.  Didn't see that coming.

Bad as usual: Trestman and Pees were made for each other.  Never seen coaches have there players playing so scared in my life.  We have them in a third and 17 situation in 4 down territory and we play 15 yards off.  Give up 13 yards to make a manageable 4th down.  Next drive, we prove that we are a good defense when we play up at the line.  Got beat all game playing off.  Played great up at the line.  Story of Dean Pees as a DC.  Trestman is a terrible play caller.  The few plays to the middle of the field worked again.  The quick outs were still just wasted extra dangerous for no reason plays.

Ugly:  Schaub.  Started right where he left off.  None of his throws that were caught were on target.  His picks were just like "what are you doing?"

You know, Harbaugh wasn't lying about Schuab having a great week of practice.

I'm sure every QB could have a great week of practice against our secondary.

Can't let Schaub finish this season out...it's not beneficiary to any side...playing 3 undrafted QBs would help us more in the long run...

The Good: We are 4-7 and still in the playoff race. Brent Urban and Will Hill both deserve game balls for tonight's win. Urban for blocking the FG allowing Hill to take it back and run it all the way for the TD. I'm not sure why people are quick to say get rid of Forsett because Allen and West played well. Why not have a 1-2 combo for next year, hell 1-2-3 with Forsett/Allen/West and have all three? I tell you, if we could ever keep our secondary healthy we would have a pretty good pass defense. Loved Wright's play tonight, he's def got a spot on the team next year I think.

The Bad: Dean Pees must go, again why is he still here in week 12? He almost cost us the game to a third string QB who couldn't even pass Mr. Party Boy himself Johnny Football on the depth chart. He only passed him because Manziel is a idiot who doesn't know when to grow up.

The Ugly: Matt Schaub.

With Matt Schaub as our QB.  Trolololol, that would be amusing.

Did anyone else burst out laughing when Urban blocked the kick?

I'm still laughing. I also somehow blurted out a string of profanities and obscenities that I didn't even know I knew. I don't think I've ever laughed and sworn so hard at the same time.

Can't Believe I forgot to mention Aiken. He caught Schuabs wonky throws all night long and did a lot with a little.

He also ran off like 20 seconds of the clock while trying to figure out the play and then set the protection, only to take off and not go out of bounds. So many things went horribly wrong for the Browns there...

No wonder they're the laughingstock of the NFL

Like only the Browns would screw up a game like that. Edited by Cville-Raven

I actually feel somewhat bad for people that want to see us make the playoffs and play a top of the line team.

I understand that anything could happen in the playoffs but damn, I would probably be able to watch until halftime.

The Ugly: Matt Schaub.

To be fair to Pees, Schaub spotted the Browns 7 points and set them up for an almost game winning field goal with another interception.

Not to mention Hill still has shown little to no awareness in deep zones and continually gets burned over the top.

But yeah, Pees
