Titans Fans Calling Ed Reed Dirty

75 posts in this topic

for all you people saying that we wouldn't be talking about it if we would have won, you are wrong. That was dirty and you know it. I'm not saying Ed Reed is always dirty but come on. I'm not making excuses for the loss but you can't try to break someone in half. I thank the Ravens fans that at least acknowledge the dirtiness of the play.

Again, that was not a dirty play. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I don't see how trying to strip a ball away from someone trying to stretch and get a first down is "dirty." If CJ doesn't want to get hit, he won't try to keep the play alive on a defense that swarms to the ball.

Stomping on someone's face, well, that's dirty.

Dude, He wasn't trying to strip the ball after 2 seconds when the whistles were blowing. Check the replay.
Not to mention the random twitching on the sidelines.

On the Reed thing, the whistle wasn't blown, CJ wasn't hurt at the end of that play. CJ himself isn't even complaining about the play! Why are the fans then?
Good question...usualy at the end of the game players are usually trying to sniff up ideas of why they lost and if the other players "cheated." oh well im not worried about this it's over...nothing anybody can do or say to change it.

Sure will. The only thing that makes me cry is that the best team isn't the one moving on.

Any given Sunday, right?

We had the 4th hardest SoS. The Titans had the 10th. We've been playing with NO REST since we got ONE day off in Week 2 (we still had to prep for the Texans game even thought we didn't play), then we had to keep playing out the schedule. We didn't have the luxury of resting starters towards the end of the season. We didn't have the luxury of a 1st round bye in the playoffs to heal.

I'd say that the best team *is* moving on.

I only make excuses when you guys hammer me. You know i have good points. Our offense pretty much dominated your so called "exotic" "hard-hitting" defense. And we don't even have a great offense. Sure we turned it over, but they weren't because of your defense, they were because we need to go back to 1st grade and learn how to hold on to the football after 1st contact.

The D-Line force KC into bad throw (intercepted) Lendale White was holding the ball out wrong and Jarret Johnson or
Justin Bannan (forgot which one) had his eyes directly on the ball and PURPOSELY knocked the ball out. Its basic defensive fundementals. Alge Crumpler got SMACKED by Jim Leohnard who purposely aimed with his head towards the ball. Ill admit your offense half-dominated us (total domination would have meant a win) but so did we in week 5 and looked at how that turned out for us. Now you feel OUR pain

This reminds me of Stuart from Saturday Night Live, it's a self esteem issue:

In your opinion.

Ed Reed was absolutely dirty on that play. Johnson was not "hit" and Reed was not trying to strip the ball - both hands had a grip of his jersey around the shoulder pads and he was driving with all of his force to twist his body up and backwards after the whistle. The only purpose of that action was to injure our best offensive player, which he succeeded in doing. Is it dirty to twist someones ankle in a pile? This is the same thing. I totally understand hitting someone as hard as possible when they are as exposed as possible, but this is not the same thing.

Do you really think you would have won if CJ was in the second half?
