Don't hold Matt back and he will get a game ball! Sorry Joe you weren't cutting it and made everyone look bad and Harbs will have to say "HABITUALLY" Joe Flacco is the starting QB of the Baltimore Ravens because Matt is gonna lite it up!

This season has gotten downright bizarre at this point. However, I am intrigued at seeing how these remaining games play out, win or lose. So much for my pre-conceived notions in the spring of being playoff bound. Hope that next season the Ravens can bounce back and will play the remaining games this season with effort and heart.

Every time these sort of homer headlines are written, we end up being utterly disappointed in the outcome! Nothing against you Ryan for being positive, but it is just the way it has worked out for us.

I suppose there won't be a lot of Hail Mary's coming up, but if we can get quick release passes to our TE's, Juice, WRs etc and move consistently forwards, that's fine by me. Explosive plays are fun and I'd love to see them (my hopes are high with Buck Allen on this one), but cutting away with 4 yards on each snap is good enough for me and exhausting for the defenses more than anything else, so if that happens, I'm fine with it.

I'm sorry...what! What kind of delusions are you under?

Well, pardon me for not being "excited" for Matt. It is nothing personal. I don't dislike Matt. It is just that there is nothing to be "excited" about in this lost season. Whether the Ravens win them all or lose them all makes no difference. They are not going to the playoffs, end of story. If they had a lick of common sense, they would use the remainder of the year wisely, in preparation for who should and who should not be part of next year's squad. Only time will tell if they do.

Well said salamander. It sure is a crazy season, but through adversity, we still have to play with intensity and heart until time expires in our last game.

No doubt that the FO has been doing that, as always. However, next year is not their only concern, this season is still in play too.

I can accept losses but I will never be able to tolerate watching any team, at any time, not giving their best effort to win. We are likely to get a high draft pick regardless and I am concerned about drafting wisely even more than whether we get the #1 draft pick. Also, a lackluster effort can be a toxic pesky mindset and its lingering effects could come back to bite us next year. Edited by salamander

"I will never be able to tolerate watching any team, at any time, not giving their best effort to win." So well said, Salamander. I think this has been a problem with this team this year, too many times. There have been critical plays that I remember watching this year that before the play even ran, I would say "no false start" or "no defensive offside" or "no stupid penalties," i.e. personal fouls or facemasks. So many times, it has been like someone has been thinking about something else other than the count, or the snap, and has committed that one critical mistake that we couldn't afford to make. The lack of discipline and the general lack of readiness to start the game or the 2nd half has plagued us. It has become an ugly mindset or "toxic pesky mindset" that has been like a contagious virus. Just generally, not playing like a Raven...no excuse for that. Regardless of the record or how lost the season might be, there is never, never, ever room for this on our team.

"He looked good. He looked really good," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Saturday.

"The way the week's gone, we're ready to go play and cut it loose," Schaub said. "There haven't been any blips this week."

^ I'm sorry but I just can't get with the same ole' nonsense that is spewed week after week after week prior to games and then these Ravens get on the field and we see none of it!  Just go out there and try to win the game if you can!  Smh!

Also, try not to have 10 penalties or even 6. Yes, personal fouls are penalties and they do result in loss of points or points for the opponent!

Matt won a lot of games for a stretch in Houston as their starting QB. Hope he goes out and plays well for the RAVENS. Not saying he is better or even a close second to Joe. But let's be honest, Joe was struggling with Turnovers and clock management this season. Let's get behind Matt and hope to get some Pride wins and ruin some other teams chance at the playoffs...

100% correct! Seems ever week it's a new hype story of nonsense. Does Harbs still believe we can win out?

Don't ever give up. I really believe we can still make the playoffs, maybe more.

I'm with you, Jfravens. We aren't out of it till were mathematically out of it. And if we do get into the playoffs, who knows how far we could go. Never give up, never surrender!

It's games like this that could get you fired if the team comes out on national tv and look like clowns. It going to be interesting.

Schaub's confidence was completely shattered his last two seasons in Texas, even operating within the cozy confines of Kubiak's offense which simplifies things for the QB. I hope he can pull it together over the next several games, but it's not like we have anything to lose.
