Ryan & Pagano's defenses never won any rings. In fact, the Ravens had losing records (5-11 & 6-10) in 2 out of the 4 seasons that Rex was the DC. So, do you want a "swag defense" with a losing record or a Mr. Nice Guy HC with play-off wins 6 of 8 years including a Super Bowl win?

On the bright side, Ozzie ought to have a shot at re-signing KO, Upshaw, and Tucker for less than expected at the outset of the year, and Joe ought to provide some friendly terms for a re-structuring deal. Monroe will unfortunately be back. He has no trade value and cutting him would result in too much dead money.

I hope the Ravens play hard but still lose because I don't want know illusions that they are near being a good team to be in the playoffs. I want them to be humbled enough to have to look deep at what their doing an and doing it with to make changes.
