Ray Rice?

Anybody know why we didn't see Ray Rice out there today making plays?

He was out there a lot actually, he just didn't get any touches for whatever reason. Maybe he was a decoy or something.

He probably didn't get much action because the guy is still a rookie, it was a road game, and he hasn't gotten many reps in a while.

We had him back so i feel like we should have used him more, fresh legs and all. He's been out for awhile so having him back running the ball i thought would have helped us a lot, turns out he didn't even get the ball once.

i actually liked how he was out there for a bit but didnt touch the ball, i think whwnever he was out there the titans where a bit heasatent as a screen or a draw was very possible

I seen him in on a few plays.. but he never got a carry.. I think he ran a route once.. maybe for a screen but it didnt go as planned. However we NEEED NEED NEED to get him involved in this upcoming game against WHOEVER he has fresh legs and we can depend on him to catch the ball if need be.

Thats true. BUT we've seen Mcclain fumble. If you dont let him try then how do you know?

Well very very true...but lets let him try during the regular season instead of the playoffs, we have two good backs that can carry the ball

I really thought this would be a game where he'd have a chance to do his damage. When he was drafted I was like, what really this guy, but he proved he can play. I don't put him at the level of a Westbrook, but think he has the potential.

yea as conservative as cam is being i could see them just working him back in slowly but surely... last week he was active but didnt play this week he got in a lot but didnt touch the ball. next week he gets his number called on a play they have been working for the last few weeks. cant wait

I disagree, he needs to get carrys.. IT IS the playoffs.. which means you use EVERY weapon possiable to put ripples in the offense and WIN football games.. WHEN ITS IMPORTANT. I'd be more worried about Mclains fumbling issues then Ray Rice's..

Rice was wide open on a few check down plays but Flacco would never throw it to him.

I wish him or Willis would have been better to play most of the game. It seemed like once Mcclain hurt his ankle he wasn't as effective which is expected. But to have Mcclain and Mcgahee in the backfield and then turn around and hand it to Mcclain constantly to gain no yards I don't think was smart especially when we were so close to the goal line. It would have been better to use him as a decoy or send in a speedier player. The titans Johnson was killing us with his speed before he got hurt. I was hoping earlier in the game we would've tried to attack their D with more speed than power because they were getting lots of pressure up front on our run plays.

None the less I'm overly excited about the victory and our chance to go back to Tampa.

I know the running game was just okay this week, but honestly I thought it worked fine for the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see some screens to Rice, but McClain is the power go-to guy.

I hope Cam is holding back some special plays to utilize with Ray next week (and hopefully two weeks after ) Running screens to McClain just doesn't work lol
