[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not at Browns

35 posts in this topic

It's really a shame that we got into another one of those money situations with Monroe. We cut him, we got big time dead money. He's Definitely Not worth the money he's being payed, even when he Is on the field. And to make matters worse, Hurst isn't even Close to being an adequate fill in for him. Oh, to have had a crystal ball in our contract negotiations with Monroe. With good LTs being So hard to find, we thought that he was our best, if not only, option. He certainly wasn't top tier, but we at least thought that he was adequate. Boy, were we wrong. He's been a Huge mistake and waste of money. But, we're pretty much stuck with him. I think our only hope is to try to find a bit more talent at LT in the off season. But, with so many needs do we look for one of the best coming out in the first round? I think probably not. Ozzie, you're really going to have to earn your money on this problem. I have no idea what you can do to help this situation. All I know is that we just lost our QB because we don't have a LT.

no he's the new daniel brown because many people will start to say he should take marlon browns place even when thats a ridiculous idea. i predicted this before anyone said CM should be brought u. people were talking about DB way before he was released.

well obviously it's typical for guys to get brought up from the practice squad when we're not getting any production at a position or are dealing with injuries. It is what it is.

And no not really. His name rarely got brought up, except for one or two users who were lobbying for him pretty hard.

its not typical for a guy that doesn't have knowledge of the playbook or the ability to play in the nil.  Seattle's receivers are  not that great and he couldn't crack the roster.  Super Bowl was lucky.  It is just as ridiculous to bring up DB who played in against lesser college competition and had two great plays in scrub time in the preseason.  his name has been brought up a lot man...  check it out....  http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1...... thats 58 posts, you're just wrong

Alright. And I'm sure that probably 30 of them are from the same 1 or 2 users. I'm not gonna go sifting through threads from months ago but As many posts that are being made on this site daily 58 is not that many..esp going back that far and compared to some of the other guys..anyway not gonna keep goin back & forth with you...not like it even matters anyway. Kid got released, end of story. For now anyway.

Professor John Urschel continues to improve and the rest step up for a Raven's win. Pride and guts will trump whatever the Browns throw at them.

D brown had one good preseason game against fourth and fifth stringers. why he is so popular is beyond me. the coaches have seen him in practice day in and day out he obviously is not good enough.

i know people question the evaluators but cmon, they know much more about the players than any fan.  They get to see them practice day in and day out.  Brown will never make it in the nil, he played at a low level college and he just isn't good enough. Look at the players that have been brought up over him.  Daniel had two maybe three good plays against a lot of players who didn't make their teams roster.

looks like the coaches had other thoughts. I'm sure you will just chalk it up to a poor decision instead of just admitting you were wrong, but it's whatever. I'm just excited for the kid to get his shot. It wasn't over after all. Edited by January J
