[News] Late For Work 11/25: Rams Coach Jeff Fisher Tells Ravens To 'Look In Mirror'

63 posts in this topic

Fisher is just mad he may have to move again... only this time to L.A.

I put no credit or merit in Fisher's opinions.

One may wonder if the only reason Manziel is playing football is to get a big enough paycheck to support his party habit. Be on the lookout in ten years for him to pop up in one of those "Which Athletes Have Gone Broke?" articles.

Sorry about Mr james loss RIP. OH YEAH jeff fisher needs to be quiet and worry about why his punchdrunk QB was still in the game after that Upshaw hit SMH.

Who cares about this he said/she said game. One of the most depressing parts about this season is that from now until next year the content of this website is going to be relegated to these TMZ-style pieces instead of actual content. On a completely different point, my prayers go out to Ellison James

We need to rid ourselves of Monroe next year regardless of cap implications. Mainly because he epitomizes everything 'UnRaven'! Take plays off, either frequently injures himself or feigns injury...

Book end tackles?! All Joe gotta do is move the pocket or run! This the AFC North and the pressure on a QB is "INEVITABLE"! We need a QB not scared to run or just keep pointing fingers and waiting money!

Jeff Fisher... LOL.... everywhere he goes... his teams have been know to be dirty. He always had the Cortland Finnegans (the dirtiest players) and the Greg Williams (dirtiest coach).... and he wonders why people may insinuate that his team is dirty. They may not be but they are clearly wearing the uniform! SMH... fisher is a clown!

IDK about bookend Tackles... I think Wagner has played well and I think we can re-sign him for a fair price... I do think that Monroe showed us a need to draft someone or bring someone in... but it doesn't make a lot of sense to cut Monroe at this point. Use him for what he is worth and start grooming the next guy (Not Hurst)... I don't want to make this about Hurst however. Hurst has given us more the we could have or should have expected from him but we need to begin to groom someone who could become the starter and that someone is not James Hurst!

I only remember Fisher, assistant coach at Houston some years back, flailing away at either Bum Phillips or some other assistant coach on the sidelines. At that time he seemed a very angry young man. Still is, just older.

YES!!! Finally someone else hit the nail on the head. Time to move on from the Eugene Monroe project. What a disappointment that guy has been. Forget his injuries, when he's actually on the field, his play is not superior but rather sub-par

I hate to say it but I think Monroe looks soft. Maybe that is a result of playing with injuries... maybe that is always being out and not fully knowing the system of gel-ing with the guys beside you???? IDK but for whatever reason... even when Monroe is in.. he don't play bad but he don't have that killer instinct that Yanda or KO has. He seems to be more of a gym warrior then a field warrior. That's unfortunate bc we are not in the weight lifting business! Maybe the offseason will give him time to either heal or decide how bad he wants this???? This is why all contracts should be incentive based however. You never know what an individual has going on mentally when you sign them to that contract. SMH

Lol, "move the pocket or run". How's that going to work? Monroe is responsible for Flacco's blind side.......emphasis on the BLIND part.

To think Jeff Fisher is head of the Competition Committee for the NFL, makes me sick to my stomach. He has had a reputation of dirty play for the longest time...anyone remember "America's Game 2000" when Billick and Dilfer talked about the stolen playbook? Now he adds Greg Williams who shouldn't even be in the NFL period, to his long distinguished list of dirty plays and players, imho.  Leaves his concussed QB in the game and this guy is head of the Competition Committee???  You would think he should know the rules better than anyone.  Right?  With all the issues the league has faced this season on multiple fronts that seems to indicate that the league is going in the wrong direction... it begs the question why is a coach with his reputation still sitting as the head of the Competition Committee?  Surely there is a coach with a little more integrity to be had to fill that position, imho.

Be really surprised if it took 10 years for that to happen

Fisher makes me sick. Did anyone listen to his rant? The guy is deluded. The conversatin then moves to Case Keenum and he doesn't even have the dignity to call himself out and claim responsibility.

Calling Will Hill soft, really.  You can say what you want about the hit and hide behind the comments section but call Hill soft to his face.  Will Hill is anything but soft.  Hill didn't say anything about the hit, the coach did.  You keep saying soft players making comments but none of those comments came from players.  You talk alot of soft for someone sitting on their butt on Sunday, using this forum to call these players soft.

LOOK In The MIRROR! I guess you don't recall posting this yesterday, "Monroe is soft. I went to training camp and was surprised at how skinny his legs were and how little effort he put into every drill that was run." Hmmm, seems kinda hypocritical to me. As far as calling him or anyone else soft, I will gladly say it to their face. He got decleated by a punter, period.

If there is a franchise LT available in the draft in the first round the Ravens should take him. Monroe won't be here forever and there is a chance the Ravens can't re-sign Osemele, and Wagner is a free agent after next season. So the new guy can slot in at LG to get him on the field just like HOF'er Ogden did for us years ago in his first year as a pro. Monroe has actually been a decent LT for us. The drop off in play when Hurst is in the game is very apparent, but to Hurst's credit he's not exactly been given regular work.

Mr. BountyGate Gregg Williams is their defensive coordinator, that's all you have to know about whether the Rams play dirty or not. I still wonder if Donald got paid for injuring Forsett and body slamming him like it's WWE out there.

Could someone please post the Andre Boyd, (Ray Lewis impersonator)Thanksgiving video? It is too funny to miss but I don't know how to do it. I saw it on the ESPN website. Happy Thanksgiving Ravens Nation.

Speaking of bad officiating, did anyone notice the lack of penalty flag on the play where Tyrod Taylor was hurt on MNFL?

I think if it was Brady or Manning getting shoved to the ground well after the ball was out, the Zebras wouldn't have hesitated the throw a flag!

It seams to me, the NFL should be looking at the poor state of officiating as one of it's biggest problems, going forward.

They have figure out how to change these problems! Having Dean Blandino coming on TV the next day,to tell everyone a game should have been won by a different team and expecting everyone to just accepted that kind of inferior quality product is rediculous..!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that games can and probably are being fixed! It only takes a few bad calls to change the total outcome of a game, as we have all witnessed on more than one occasion this season.

People will only put up with so much of this crap before they start finding other things to watch on TV...!
